Welcome to Shaker Of Salt! Professionally managed by Gulf Coast Vacation Rentals.This beautifully designed 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home offers a perfect blend of comfort and style, featuring a private pool and spacious living areas, ideal for both relaxation and entertaining.

The primary bedroom is a retreat, complete with a king-size bed and an attached bathroom that boasts a walk-in shower, ensuring your comfort and privacy. The second bedroom offers ample space with two queen-size beds and a TV, making it perfect for friends or family members. The third bedroom also features two queen-size beds and plenty of closet space, providing both comfort and convenience.

The second bathroom is well-appointed with a dual vanity and a walk-in shower, catering to the needs of your family and friends. The home features two separate living room spaces, both designed for unwinding and enjoying quality time. Whether you're watching your favorite shows, reading a book, or simply enjoying the ambiance, these living areas offer the perfect setting.

Step outside to your private pool, where you can soak up the Florida sunshine or take a refreshing dip. Located in Sarasota, this home provides easy access to the area's beautiful beaches, shopping, dining, and cultural attractions.

The backyard is currently getting astroturf laid around the pool area.

Garage is not accessible for guests use. It has been converted to a game room. Guests can park in the driveway. Fireplace is NOT for guests use.

House Rule: No smoking. No burning candles inside of lodging. No parties. Pool is not heated.

Furry friends welcome! Up to 2 pets allowed. The pet fee for the first pet is collected through Vrbo. If you're bringing a second pet, an additional non-refundable fee must be paid directly to the management company after booking.

Clean and Close to the Beach

House was clean and comfortable and well stocked. The pool was dirty when we arrived but the pool cleaner came by after a couple of days and it was fine. We had a relaxing time and the beaches are all drivable and close (within 10-20 min.)Would stay here again.

Family Vacation

Nice, comfortable accommodations with a lot of room. The property manager was super responsive. Check in was seamless. We really enjoyed our time there and would stay again. There is no shade by the pool so we brought a pop up canopy and that worked well, because that sun is punishing! This was our first annual family vacation with my kids and grandkids and we enjoyed our stay at Shaker of Salt!

Florida Fun

The Shaker of Salt was perfect for getaway! The property was in a quiet neighborhood but also close to beaches and attractions. We really felt at home. The house had everything we needed to cook for ourselves a few times and comfortable places to hang out. We especially enjoyed the pool!

Beautiful home

We absolutely loved this home. The layout is perfect, it's very spacious and clean. We loved the private pool and the kids LOVED the game room. The only complaint is the pool people came and treated the pool while we were there and we couldn't use it for 24 hours. We had planned to stay in that evening and have "pool time" with the kids. So it would have been nice to have notice so we could have planned something else.

Pretty good property

The check in process and the checkout process were easy and seamless. There was a lack of supplies, most notably toilet paper, so we had to go shopping for most of that.There were no trash dumpsters for trash outside. There is a large pile of old trash left from previous occupants and nowhere to go with the trash. The beds and living space were good and the pool, backyard, and game room were awesome for the family.

We’re glad that you enjoyed your stay in the home but we're sorry to hear about the inconvenience with the trash and toilet paper. Just like at home, our vacation rental follows a scheduled trash pickup day. Unfortunately, if a previous guest has generated more waste than usual, we don’t have the ability to have it removed before the designated collection time. We do our best to manage this, but there are some limitations when guests overlap or check out close to pickup day.

We stayed here with another family for a soccer weekend. Early on in our stay we were excited, game room was awesome the first night, however on arrival the pool wasn’t even full of water, the pump was running and didn’t have enough water to run properly. I would assume this is an ongoing issue as the pool was freezing and the garden hose was still laying in the pool. The next morning I turned the hose on to fill it but quickly realized the pool was going to be unusable for the weekend. While there is a heater near the pumps, when messaging the managing company we were informed the heater doesn’t work. On top of that th bottom of the pool had a layer of dirt on it that would require a full pool cleaning. After looking again at the reviews it was evident that contacting the property manager was simply going to result in someone coming out and not really taking care of the issue.Another unfortunate issue was the clothes washer. When attempting to wash clothes the washer would trickle out cold water. As long as using hot water it would fill appropriately. So after starting a load in the evening we were hoping to come home to a clean load of laundry and it hadn’t even run the wash cycle by morning.The good, plenty of room and furniture to sit around in the evenings. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes and small appliances. Master bedroom mattress is absolutely horrible, it was like sleeping in a partially deflated air mattress.

Needs some help

The house is okay, little outdated but a lot of rentals are. The pool absolutely needs cleaned. They sent out a guy while we were there but he was there for maybe 15 minutes and I think just put chlorine in it but it needs cleaned.. we didn’t even use it and ended up at the beach every day. The listing does not state beach chairs and beach items and I was messaged that there were only chairs there, but in fact, there are beach chairs, a beach tent, an umbrella that looked like it was broken, but we didn’t use that we used the tent instead. There are no beach towels and it seems that the cleaning crew cleans out any excess items that aren’t used by the renters which I think is wrong. Every place I’ve ever rented there’s always aluminum foil pool cups, oils, etc.Those kinds of basic needs that you need for a week stay. There are what I assume is powerlines laying across the back patio. I’m assuming from the storm a year ago that really needs to be taken out of there…. I just want to give an honest review of the place and what we thought….. like I said the property is OK just don’t have your expectations too high

In town for our sons wedding

We chose this home due to the bedroom, layout with multiple sleeping arrangements the game room, and the pool. The home was nicely maintained and clean. The listing was accurate. The three star rating was due to the pool condition. The pool was dirty with sand, debris algae. Water was green. Early the following morning, I messaged the management company to let them know of the situation. They responded promptly, told me they would reach out to the pool vendor. We returned to the home later that evening, the pool had not been serviced. I again messaged the management company who told me that they had reached out to the vendor and would follow up with them again. The following morning, pool vendor came. We were outside for the visit, he did not vacuum the pool. He took a brush and scrubbed the steps/sides of pool. He did not get any debris out of the pool. I Again contacted management who told me that the pool vendor shocked the pool and it would take 24 to 48 hours for the pool to clear. They also said there had been an algae bloom and that was reason for pool condition. It was obvious this pool had not been managed. We booked this home in January 2025. We were unable to use the pool during our 4 night/3 day stay. We’ve stayed in may VRBO listings over the years and have never encounter a problem u til now. Also of note: the home had 1 roll of toilet paper for each of the two bathrooms and 1 roll of paper towels-For a home that sleeps
