This lovely home is located at Ainsworth BC and is available for year round vacation rental. Directly across the street is the famous Ainsworth Hot Springs Resort, featuring a natural mineral water cave and bathing pools. The Ainsworth area has endless miles of scenic driving, hiking, biking, boating, fishing, and golf, all within minutes of the Gathering House. The property offers a beach access and use of a small watercraft for guests. Sit and ponder the many sights and sounds of this wonderful waterfront retreat. You'll be mesmerized by its beauty and tranquility. See pictures, rates, accommodation details, and things to see and do in the area below

This property is absolutely stunning! It is in a beautiful location with beautiful views out every window. The property is large and comfortable with a variety of spaces that accommodate a large group. It is within walking distance of the springs and well located to many tourist attractions. Ample parking and a well stocked home made the living easy. We had excellent communication with the host, Janice, who went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. Highly recommend!

We had a really lovely stay at Janice's place. It was welcoming and spacious with plenty of space indoor and outdoor. Very conveniently located right on the lake, next to the hot springs and just a few minutes from shops. It was a smooth check-in, and Janice was attentive and communicative and a pleasure to deal with.The property is just so full of character and charm. It really felt like a home away from home for the 7 of us. I couldn't recommend it highly enough.p.s. it might sound weird (and don't worry there are toilets inside) but the outhouse with the half door so you can look out at the lake was amazing

Janice is amazing. Met us at the house to go over a few things. Super nice and the place was just perfect for us. The pool table was the highlight of the nights. Very spacious and comfy beds. The place was perfect for day trips to the Hot Springs and with the money saved by not staying at the resort you can go for spa days at the resort instead. Will definitely rent again.

Home is exactly as pictured and described in listing beautiful inside and out..had everything we needed.Stunning lake view, beautiful area to sit and have morning coffee. Perfect for hosting a large group, location is across the road from Ainsworth Hotsprings, took us 2 minutes to walk there, Janice was such an amazing host, will definitely book here again in the near future

Great Family Get Away

This property was just what we needed for a great family get away! The landscape is stunning and the private lake access was fantastic! Our host was very welcoming and easy to communicate with. We will be back!

It seems the peace and joy that this landscape brings is parallel to none. I always find my own time here so restorative. I am glad we were able to share this with you and your beautiful family and that you were able to appreciate the stunning views. It is easy to slip into the water off of the private beach and become immersed in the menagerie of colourful and assorted rocks. Time seems to stand still just sifting through the treasures to be found while watching over the expansive mountain and water views and our little garden of paradise.

Amazing relaxing unwind.

Beautiful serene property overlooking the lake with direct access to your own beach which literally has a waterfall running to it creating a calming and grounding experience. Great location, large kitchen, great games room in the basement. Janice is an amazing host and keeps her property grounds immaculate. We will be back!

People really seem to enjoy playing pool in the recreational room and playing many games on the rainy days or evenings such as yourself. The easy access to the beach occupies people for hours just making rock cairns and playing with the small watercraft on hot days.

Beautiful views of Kootenay Lake! The house was very comfortable for two couples who loved to kayak, swim and hike. The garden was full of plants and flowers. The yard lead to a small beach which was perfect for launching our kayaks. The kitchen was setup well and we cooked most of our meals at the VRBO. Janice was easy to communicate with and she made sure we were familiar with the house, yard and the surrounding areas. Highly recommended!

With the lake, mountain views and hiking trails right at your doorstep it is a perfect place to unwind with friends, family and food. This rental is beautiful!We had a relaxing time with friends visiting, enjoying the sun, the yard, and the watercraft.Bring ALL your own condiments/extras as we had to purchase salt/pepper, paper towel, and garbage is yours to take away aside from what you recycle. That said, we'd go back in a heart beat and look forward to doing so.

The property looked lovely as ever after the 8 days of your stay. The photos you shared that you took from your drone were really beautiful! I see you made the very most of all that the view and beach had to offer. I am glad you made good use of the amenities, watercraft, barbecue, etc. We do encourage recycling and composting on our property and endeavour to be as environmentally conscious as we can. Not our best VRBO experience

Unfortunately this wasn’t our best experience at a VRBO, for a couple of reasons. First the listing of 2 bathrooms is a bit misleading, as it’s just 1 shower, so sharing that among 6 adults was not ideal. Second you should just know the house feels very “lived in”, in terms of personal pictures, clothes in drawers, etc…some may be fine with that, it wasn’t a great fit for us. Third we found the cleanliness to be below the VRBO standard we’ve seen…dirty dishrag in the kitchen, vacuum left out downstairs, cobwebs in downstairs bedroom, etc..no top sheets on beds, so not really sure if duvet covers are being washed each time? Finally just know that nearest store/minimart is 15-20 minutes away, so even though across from Ainsworth Hot Springs “resort” there’s no gas/food there so plan accordingly! Host is friendly and I’m sure these items will be improved.

Thank you for your honest feedback Dave. I am very sorry that this was not one of your best experiences. We take a lot of pride in the care of our property and aim to please. I see the error in my listing regarding the second bathroom. This has now been corrected to reflect that the private on suite downstairs does not have a shower. Many of our guests are here to soak at the hotsprings and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the lake views. We absolutely wash our duvets after each and every stay. We are meticulous about this. We have had different feedback about top sheets; some people prefer to not have them wrapped around their ankles at the bottom of the bed. But I understand your point and I am happy to accommodate guest preferences.

This is a very comfortable home in a beautiful location. It feels like you’re staying in a friend’s home, with its interesting art and books. Janice met us for check-in and spent quite a bit of time showing us the house. She is readily available by text for any questions you may have. The kitchen is well equipped, with everything needed for cooking and barbecuing. You are a very short walking distance from the Hot Springs, and the restaurant at the Hot Springs was very good. All in all, this is one of our favourite rental properties we have visited over the years.
