Nice Property In Prescott Country Club

This is a very nice house to stay in. It was very clean and nicely decorated and the linens and towels were clean and soft. The beds were very comfortable as well and the backyard is a very nice outdoor space with lots to do. The owner was also very responsive, replying immediately to any questions. The one less positive thing is there is no air conditioning in the house, so on hot days, it is uncomfortable. But this would be a great house to stay in during cooler weather with the hot tub and sauna.

House doesn't have central air conditioning. No directions on how to use swamp coolers that don't make it cool enough. Washing machine stopped mid cycle - and wasn't repaired during stay. Temperature control knobs on both showers don't work - can't regulate the shower temp. House needs a lot of work

We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:- The listing notes that the home does not have central air conditioning, but swamp coolers are available to help with temperature control.- The washing machine was functioning properly prior to arrival, and we’ll have our team inspect it to ensure it’s operating as expected.- The shower knobs have been reviewed, and the master shower is working properly. Any needed adjustments will be addressed promptly.Thank you for your comments, as they help us continue to maintain and improve the home for future guests.

THERE IS NO A/C - WHY WOULD YOU RENT IN SUMMER???

We stayed here with some parents and kids for girls softball tournament. We noticed right away that the house was really HOT. Asked owner and she said there is a “cooler” and sent a pic. I’m not really sure what that is but it did not cool. House was 89-90 degrees our whole stay. We tried to open windows at night but the windows in main living areas do not open and blinds in bedrooms are broken and don’t close / open so it was very frustrating. We looked for hotels and other houses but we already paid so much for this, no one could afford to move. We all pitched in and purchased a 400 air conditioner the second day so girls could sleep. We couldn’t put it in main area because no windows open, ended up putting it in girls room. We used the Hampton pool and lounge are (where we had friends staying) to get out of the heat. Book in this house says community pool but when we went over there, lady said no VRBO house is listed and we were not able to use. It was one of the moms birthdays so I planned on making a little cake but, that was impossible with the heat and ants all over the kitchen, I threw away sugar I found in cabinet to help that situation but they seemed to always come back. Also, bed in master is almost on floor so if you have a hard time getting off the floor, the master would not work for you. Bidets in both bathrooms, sauna in master and gift of wine when you stay sounds nice but it honestly was the worst VRBO stay we have ever had.

Unacceptable

This property should not be available for summer rentals. With no air conditioning and temperatures in the 90s, the house was uninhabitable during the day. A “cooler” offered no relief, and this critical lack of A/C needs to be explicitly stated in the listing—no one would expect that from an Arizona rental. My elderly parents, who were supposed to stay with us, had to leave after one night due to the extreme heat. We encountered several other serious issues:No remote for the living room TV (we were told a replacement wouldn’t arrive during our stay).Nearly non-functional showers: one with no water pressure and the other with an unusable temperature knob.A leaking sink faucet.Broken/damaged window blinds.A torn screens in windows.Bugs in the bedrooms.A massive sauna in the master bedroom that was unusable and poorly placed.Sharp garden tools left in the yard.Three loud dogs next door barking every time we were outside.Non-functioning lights and ceiling holes in the backyard gazebo.Faulty outlets throughout the house.No checkout message was ever sent.We booked this home expecting a comfortable space for our family, but instead found safety hazards, poor maintenance, and misleading advertising. It’s clear the property has been neglected—likely due to it being for sale—and should be removed from your platform immediately.
