The views of this property are amazing. You are right on the beach and the sunrises (so I was told-I am a night person) are incredible. The house has huge windows overlooking the back yard and beach area. The house is equipped with pretty much everything you could need/use.
The setting was perfect and the accommodations met our expectations. Thanks for sharing your home with the Pansies: Glenda, Karen, Kathy, Mary Jean and Diane from Georgia.
I recently spent several days at this property in Door County. It was all we expected and more. The home was lovely and the view of the lake was amazing. My sister was in a wheelchair and, outside of a few steps to get in the house, could easily get around on the main level. communication with Kristina, the property manager, was also excellent!
Beautiful location /setting. Easy access to other towns in D.C. The house has most everything stocked you could need for your stay. For Four adults there was plenty of room. We would def. stay here again.
The one and only issue we would submit is the upstairs twin bed mattresses were uncomfortable.
Thank you for sharing your home.
The home was exactly as shown and described and we were treated to some amazing sunrises over Lake Michigan! A perfect Door County location for our family's visit, easy to get to all the parks and quaint towns on the peninsula. The home was very comfortable and is fully stocked, just bring your food and beverages. The peaceful backyard setting and view of powerful Lake Michigan is just beautiful. We really appreciated having firewood for campfires and the indoor fireplace also. The property is directly on Hwy 57, but you don't notice any traffic noise inside the house, and out back you only hear the sound of the infinite waves hitting the shoreline. Great communication prior to and during our stay. We would definitely stay here again!
This is a GREAT house for 2 families or a family where the kiddos bring a friend. Everything lived up to the description and the house was ready to go with everything you needed for your stay. Only thing we had to bring was food and beach towels. Supplying firewood for the firepit was so appreciated. Wish the weather was warmer because this is a great house to just lounge in the backyard or float on the lake which is RIGHT THERE and a great depth for kids to be safely supervised. Our girls are 16 and 12 and we had a wonderful visit and a much needed break from the stress of COVID chaos in Chicago. You don't find many rentals for smaller groups with 3.5 bathrooms. I highly recommend and hope we can stay here again. My only suggestions might be to keep some lightweight chairs in the garage to bring down to the firepit rather than carrying those NICE but heavy chairs down and back each evening and to recommend renters pick up a bag of ice since the fridge doesn't have an icemaker. Many thanks for the seamless and easy experience.
We stay in VRBOs nearly every year in Door County and this is amongst the best ones.
The great things about the property includes -
1. Kris is an amazingly responsive host - she replied nearly immediately to all questions and was very helpful
2. The house was very well stocked with good products (vs cheap body washes, lotions you sometimes get in VRBOs) - felt like home
3. The sandy beach right outside the property is unbeatable - the sound of the waves lapping the shore, bird sounds in the morning is unbeatable
The not so amazing things (nit picking here - our overall experience was amazing) -
1. The W57 state highway passes right next to the house and there are not a lot of trees blocking it. So there is some vehicular noise especially in upstairs bedrooms - very minimal when windows are closed but itâs there.
2. The property attracts a ton of May flies for the few weeks in May which makes it difficult to enjoy the beach and the garden - if you are traveling during May might be worth checking if itâs May fly season.
3. The shams in the bedrooms seemed a bit unclean - may need some dry cleaning.
Overall a fan stars if stay!
We had a wonderful time staying at the Jump Inn!! The house was family friendly and had everything we needed. The beach was lovely! Would stay here again if given the chance!!
We had a great time staying at Jump Inn. Itâs a beautiful property right on the beach of Lake Michigan! The house is roomy and stocked well. Kris was very responsive and easy to get a hold of. Might want to check in with cleaning staff as it was surfaced clean but there were some cobwebs in ceiling fans and on outside on the house. Upstairs beds could use an update and the bathroom at the top of the stairs door doesnât close all the way. We loved the backyard, has a great deck and a hammock to relax in. We also loved walking the beach. We love coming to Door County and would definitely stay again.
The home was well maintained and just as described. It was a great experience for all of us a truly enjoyable vacation. Would love to stay there again.
We had a wonderful time at this home, and spent time on the beach, with a campfire, and cooking in the lovely kitchen! We'd go back tomorrow if we could! Quiet neighborhood, comfortable home, and relaxing setting!
My sister's and I brought my Mom to Door County for our yearly vacation just to relax and see the sights. The homes location is good.. It was beautiful and relaxing. Watching and listen to the water was very enjoyable. It is right off the highway so morning traffic can wake you in the upstairs bedrooms.. The home was clean, but had spiders and cobwebs inside and on outside furniture. There was a broom in garage to clean outside chairs.. I have one sister who does not like spiders! The kitchen did not have a microwave, but besides that it pretty much had everything you needed to make a homemade meal. The big beds were comfortable, the trundle beds would be great for kids but a little firm for an adult. Thank you for sharing your home with us, we had a wonderful time in Door County!
We had a wonderful week at the Jump Inn. What a lovely, comfortable home to serve as a base for enjoying Door County. Just the right amount of space for our family of five plus grandma and grandpa. We loved walking out the door to the backyard to sit and observe the immensity of Lake Michigan. Absolutely gorgeous and family friendly!
My wife and I, along with another couple, stayed for a few days. The house is lovely, and oh that backyard view! Just a short drive to all that door county has to offer. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Thank you for opening your home!
A nice home with good location and living spaces. Bring your own drinking water or bring a filter. Gas grill worked well yet needs deep cleaning to prevent flare ups. Will recommend this home to friends.
The Jump Inn property was a great place to celebrate our girls weekend for my 50th birthday! There was plenty of room and bathrooms so no one had to trip over each other. The lake view was awesome and peaceful. We took many pictures of the sunrises and the waves that came in during our stay. It was a chilly fall weekend, but took advantage of the sun when it came out for awhile. We would definitely come back again! Thank you!
We really enjoyed the sunrises over the water and the lapping waves make sleeping at night very relaxing. Kris provided plenty of wood as we enjoyed fires both inside and out. A very pleasant stay overall.
Dear Jump Family,
Thank you very much. You have a wonderful home, so close to Lake Michigan and Baileyâs Harbor. This area is we like to stay. We loved the deck area, the fire pit, and the sounds and sights of the lake.
What an unusual summer this is in the mist of the Covid pandemic. We are a family that includes an older, active Cardiovascular health care provider physician and a high risk daughter. This was our only vacation for 2020. It was great and we felt safe at your home. We did take-outs, a picnic on Washington Island, and a good social distance dinner at Trixie's. It was all great.
Unexpectedly, we did not see many masks, distancing, etc on Door Co. This was too bad.
Thank you, The Januaryâs
