Located in the Lakeland Village Lodge, this unit is on the 3rd floor w/ easy elevator access from the covered parking garage.

Lakeland Village Beach and Mountain Resort provides an array of amenities, including 1000 feet of private beach, pier, clubhouse, fitness center, sauna, lakeside firepits & plenty of nearby lake and mountain sport rental shops. Enjoy the beach, 2 pools & kid’s wading pool (lakeside pool & wading open during summer ), 2 hot tubs, a sauna, a cozy gas fireplace & an in wall air cooling unit, making it perfect for a romantic retreat or family mountain adventure. Located just minutes away from Heavenly Mountain Resort & walking distance to Whole Foods Market and CVS, coffee shops, restaurants, pubs & bowling.

Lakeland Village lodge units provide an ideal location for guests seeking convenient access to nearby attractions. Being located near the main road, you may notice some ambient noise, though many of our guests have found it to be a worthwhile trade-off for the proximity to the area’s main activities. The unit comes equipped w/ a wall-mounted air conditioning unit to maintain a cool temperature during summer months, & additional fans are provided to enhance comfort. Please note, due to the layout, loft areas may feel warmer, but thoughtful cooling solutions are in place to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Evenings can be spent gathered around the lakeside firepits, sharing stories under the stars, or cozying for movie night beside the gas fireplace in your living room.

Parking passes must be displayed in your vehicle while parked on the property and returned to the home at checkout. If a pass is taken from the property, it must be returned or shipped back within 72 hours (tracking required) or a $250 fee will apply.

Get around the city for free with the city’s new “Lake Link” on-demand ride service.

Free Heavenly Ski Shuttle - pickup is at the bus stop behind the lodge on HWY 50.

IMPORTANT: This unit is not available through the on-site management company and does not include access to daily maid service, or towel service. We provide all the linens and towels for your use in the home & at the beach.

Very outdated condo. All appliances were from the 90s. Very musty smell. Loft is constantly warm. No AC up there. Faces lake Tahoe blvd & street noise is audible constantly.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. Lakeland Village was built in 1973, more than 50 years ago, and remains one of the most unique and sought-after properties in South Lake Tahoe. Its location is truly special: right on the lake with a beautiful beach, pier, boat buoys, two swimming pools, hot tub, firepits, and easy walking access to groceries and dining. There are no other properties like it in the area, and due to strict building regulations around the lake, there never will be another.  For future guests to note, the photos in our listing are always kept updated and accurately reflect the unit as it stands. As mentioned in our listing prior to booking, some ambient road noise is possible due to the unit’s proximity to Lake Tahoe Blvd. Many guests find this to be a worthwhile tradeoff for the property’s prime location and walkability to the lake, restaurants, and shops.  Regarding temperature, this unit does have an in-wall air conditioner on the bottom level. When used together with the provided fans and ceiling fans, and by taking advantage of the cool mountain air at night before closing windows and blinds in the morning, guests typically find that the home stays comfortable, even during warmer days.  For future guests, our Guest Relations team is available by phone, text, or email 7 days a week from 9 AM–6 PM, with 24/7 after-hours support. We’re always happy to help address any concerns in real time during your stay to make sure everything is comfortable.

But all the condos were close to the highway.Might have been better if the condo was pointed to the lake. I think that there should be more signage on how to use the code to get into the condo, such as using the code when you cannot get the condo to lock, and to use the black button in the back of the door lock in the condo interior to make sure that every thing is locked.

The walk to the lake was a bit long, but we managed...because we didn't have to drive and find parking! We did think the picture shown here is deceiving: makes it seem like this balcony overlooks trees and maybe the lake...which is not true. It actually is above a main road with stores, noise, etc. The loft is super warm, but I slept up there and was fine. (I need the warmth when I sleep). We would return to this Lodge!!

For any future guests; this unit is located in the lodge building at Lakeland Village on the third floor. While it does face the main road, its location provides unparalleled access to all of the restaurants, activities, and beauty that South Lake Tahoe has to offer. The elevator and the fan have both been fixed. We hope that despite the issues that were experienced, that you had a great time in Tahoe!

Would Not Recommend

My wife and I would not recommend this listing to anyone. The condo is not as advertised. The pictures strategically do not show that the condo is actually overlooking the busiest road in South Lake Tahoe. There is constant traffic which makes it impossible to relax during the day or fall asleep at night. The air conditioning is also a wall unit, which is not located in the main bedroom thus making it very uncomfortable to sleep or relax in as the room would become hot. This listing also says it’s 10 steps to the front door. This is inaccurate, you have to go up three flights of stairs, then depending if the elevator is working either take it to the third floor or walk another three flights to then walk down a long rundown hallway to your door. The rental company also says the property is a smoke free environment, but after coming back from a hike we smelled marijuana seep through our unit. Also, the condo had a gross musty smell throughout the unit as well as in the fridge (which was not cold enough to trust). Management thought the best solution was to install baking soda. The unit is bare bones—the furniture is extremely cheap and uncomfortable. My wife and I ended up leaving after one night and management refused to refund us after they stated “they stand by their listing.” Management did offer to help remedy the smell but with that issue and everything else we felt so dirty ourselves we couldn’t bare to stay in the condo a minute longer.
