DETAILS: Stillwater Log Home is a stunning 4,000-square-foot log cabin nestled in a quiet country neighborhood with 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms that sleeps 12. Guests will love the scenic 30-minute drive to Whitefish Mountain Resort for world-class skiing and being close to downtown Whitefish. Located along Stillwater River, this cabin sits on 8 acres of well-maintained land and includes a spacious outdoor entertainment area, 2 living spaces, and an open loft with skylights.

This authentic log cabin boasts an open floor plan and cathedral ceilings with natural colors and textures that create the ideal setting for a cozy mountain retreat. A wood-burning stove and plush furnishings, including a sleeper sofa, beckons friends and family to relax after a long in the living area. The remodeled kitchen has everything needed to prepare a family feast. A traditional dining area seats 8, while the rustic kitchen island seats 6 more. There are 2 bedrooms on the main floor—1 primary bedroom with a queen bed, private bathroom, and relaxing patio, and 1 guest bedroom with a queen bed and inviting atmosphere. Experience the ultimate outdoor oasis on the spacious covered deck with plenty of seating or on the beautifully manicured lawn with space for volleyball and other games. Plus, a convenient side patio is equipped with a grill and picnic table for delightful alfresco meals.

Enjoy river views from a small balcony and abundant natural lighting from overhead skylights in the upstairs loft—there is also a king and full bed that’s great for slumber parties!

An expansive living area on the ground floor, with a large TV and surround sound, creates the perfect backdrop for a family movie night. The radiant heating keeps guests warm during Winter and the mini fridge keeps drinks cool year-round. There are 2 comfortable guest bedrooms, one with a king bed and the other with a queen bed. A full-sized washer and dryer are available for guest use.

Wonderful Family Home

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful, log home. It was great for two families with kids & had everything we needed. The big yard out back was perfect for the kids to play. The location was great - not too far from groceries, restaurants, etc. but in a quiet neighborhood so you could just enjoy the beauty of Montana. We had a lovely visit with the owners, Fred & Sue, & we enjoyed our nightly visits from the deer. A favorite vacation by far!

Stillwater Log home

We loved the Log cabin- perfect for large families! There is plenty of space indoors and out for everyone! The only critiqueI would provide is more towels for guests in bathrooms-we found some of them in the laundry room downstairs and it would have been nice if they were located in each bathroom and there were a few more. Other than that- I would highly recommend this place!

This log home was outstanding in every respect. Not only did they have an excellent kitchen, completely stocked, but they had many spices and grocery staples in stock. The home was absolutely gorgeous and the owner, Susie, was the most pleasant person. We really enjoyed her visits. If i was going to visit that area again, I would certainly stay there. For anyone wanting to enjoy the true Montana experience, this is where I would suggest beginning. I just can't rave about this home enough. Thanks y'all.

We all (my wife and I and our two son's and their families) had a wonderful time, so much so that we are talking about booking again for next year. The home was well appointed and clean the property very well maintained thus providing the optimal Montana experience.

Family vacation!

Our family consists of 7 adults and 5 children. The cabin absolutely met all our needs. The yard gave the children lots and lots of room to play. The cabin was equipt with a big volley ball net and ball, whiffle balls and bat, badminton , other balls and a large storage container. The kids loved it all. There are plenty of chairs and. a very comfortable eating area for evening meals outside. We used the grill and really enjoyed the food . They supplied utensils for the grill too.. the kids really enjoyed the deer coming into the yard . We took several walks and enjoyed the outdoors.. There is also a river running beside the cabin on the property. You can fish but we didn’t catch anything. Some trees in the river so our lures kept getting hung up. We visited Glacier Park- a beautiful place with amazing views and hikes.-lots of waterfalls to hike to- one day we drove through Glacier ( make sure you get your three day pass on line a day or two before you go - they sell out fast ! ) then the second day we hiked the trails.. we also hung at the beach (Whitefish) and played in the water. You can rent paddle boards etc there too.. we rented a Pontoon for the day on Flathead Lake. Had an awesome time. We enjoy fishing too so we fished off our Pontoon. Very fun. We enjoyed getting to know the owner. She was very friendly and helpful. Had an amazing time. Hope this review helps other families know the possibilities!

This is a great property for families or friends to gather and use to see and do all the wonderful things in NW Montana. The house has everything you need and more, was clean and well maintained and had lots of space to gather and enjoy!

Glacier National Park 2022

House was wonderful and I can't say enough nice things about it. We had 11 family members from 3 states (8 Adults and 3 teenagers) We played family games with the vollyball net and touch football. (All Supplies were at house). Wonderful place to stay.

When we arrived, it looked like it was going to be smaller than anticipated. When we spend the door this incredible large property open before our eyes! We knew we had plenty of room for our party of eight plus four more ! We also thought it would be too far out of the way but it is only about 15-20 minutes from Whitefish and Kalispell and about 20 minutes from the airport.

Perfect for relaxing large family stay

This property was perfect for our extended family to spend a week together. Perfectly situated between Whitefish and Kalispell, with easy access to Glacier airport. The property is welll-maintained, with river access. The kids loved playing outside after a day of adventuring around the area. The house is incredibly well-stocked and made it easy for us to cook three meals a day for 12 people. Property managers were super responsive. We loved sitting outside and watching the animals come to visit - deer, chipmunks, even a bald Eagle!! Would very happily return to this beautiful place.

Better Than the Pictures

The pictures of this property do not do it justice. The managers live just off the property and were extremely friendly and helpful. The house also has so many things that make your stay enjoyable. I was impressed throughout the entire stay. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Home away from home

Really just an amazing place. The inside is huge and welcoming. We spent a lot of time by the fire and the kitchen then moved downstairs to play games on the TV and hand out.

Beautiful Property

My family spent Christmas here and throughly enjoyed the location, decor and all the holiday extras including a Christmas tree and cookies. We were 15 minutes from downtown Whitefish and 30 from skiing. Highly recommend!

Wow, fantastic property and stay

Everything about this property was fantastic. Kitchen was well stocked with every kind of dish, appliance, pots/pans, spices...!! House was super clean, beds were comfortable, yard was beautiful, hosts were more than gracious. I would ABSOLUTELY stay here again. A relaxing get-away

We really enjoyed our stay. The place was well stocked and clean. I appreciated how quiet it was in the house. There were seven of us, and even though some would come in later, we did not hear them. We also enjoyed watching the deer.

Still water cabin is as good as it appears

We were looking for a place to stay with our family that was both in a calming relaxing area and large enough for our family of 10. We found both, this is a beautiful location, we sat on the back deck daily listening to the creek run and watching the deer and turkeys wander thru the property. It is well kept and maintained. It is only about a 40 minute drive from the Western gate of Glacier National Park. We were not disappointed and would definitely return here again.
