Hi Wesley, we want our guests to arrive at a vacation home that is 100% ready for their stay, so we take the cleanliness of our properties seriously! We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:- We’ve updated the listing to note that while the home has central A/C, bedrooms 4 and 5 do not currently have it—we’re working on adding units to those rooms.- We’re sorry the home wasn’t as clean as expected. All linens are washed off-site between guests, and the guests before you did not have infants, so we’re unsure where the diaper may have come from. We’re also making sure floors, trash, and outdoor areas are double-checked going forward.- We didn’t receive any messages until after checkout, but there’s a checklist on the fridge with the host’s number for guests to call or text if anything needs attention during their stay.- The hot tub is checked after every guest, and no trash was found before your arrival—but we’ll continue to make sure it’s fully cleaned and ready.Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.

The place was not clean Floor had not been mopped or swept The tables had not been dusted Spots I. The comforter Molded pan in the oven No trash bags Told us to take trash out but no code to trash cab so she told us to take it back to Ruidoso and dump in a trash cabin there. Didn’t want to do that because most people there pay for their cans Si she told us to leave in house not sure when it would be clean agai. So we left it u. The garage Back door of house was u locked when we go there Could not get on I tee er with the code they left. Thier we’re positives it was plenty big enough and great location. I think we should not have to pay for the cleaning fee for sure

We've cleaned it thoroughly since your departure. - We'll promptly check the comforters for any spots to maintain our high standards.- Additionally, there were six trash bags folded separately under the sink for your convenience.- We regret that you didn't reach out during your stay with any concerns, as we're always eager to provide immediate assistance.Thank you for sharing your feedback with us.

As stated in other reviews the house was not clean especially the kitchen. Roaches in bottom floor bathroom. The Evolve description list house as suitable for elderly, bedroom and bathroom in main floor. This is false. There are stairs up to the first level bedroom and bathroom. Two flights of stairs to upper level bedrooms and bathroom. Two flights of stairs to downstairs bedroom and bathroom. One of our elderly ladies fell coming down the stairs and broke 9 ribs. She, her husband and a friend drove home on Monday. The rest of us left Tuesday morning cutting our trip short by one day. We were supposed to stay there until Wednesday. I informed the host that my friend had fallen and was in the hospital and I also called her as we were leaving Tuesday morning. I hope the VRBO and Evolve need to update their descriptions to state it is NOT suitable for elderly. Disappointed in our stay. I will say the house location is great and the views and sunsets are great.

I didn’t realize the listing might have been misleading for elderly guests, and I’ve already updated it so it’s clear. I was happy we could offer the one-level casita next door at no extra cost, hoping it would make things easier for you.I’m sorry to hear about the floors. They’re cleaned after every guest, but without photos, I can’t see exactly what you saw; I’ll be sure to ask for pictures in the future so I can make things right right away. As for the bugs, I know how unpleasant they can be. We keep traps out, but with all the rain lately, they can sometimes find their way inside. I’ll be keeping an extra close eye on it.Your feedback helps me see where I can do better, and I appreciate you sharing it with me."

I’ll start with all of the things we enjoyed. The location was great! The house is somewhat secluded and provided beautiful views. The outside had plenty of room for multiple vehicles to park. The kitchen was well stocked with cleaning supplies and dishes. I would just suggest having a dish rag or two for wiping down counters and tables. There was a sponge and a couple of larger dish towels, but no dish rags. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were good sizes. There were a few issues we had during our stay. The rooms listed as having no A/C are labeled incorrectly in the photos. The listing shows two queen beds while it was actually two of the king beds. When we arrived, those rooms were 80 but we opened windows and turned on the fans to help cool them down. The internet didn’t work for our entire stay. The TVs showed a loading symbol and phones and other devices also were unable to work with the WiFi provided. The entire bottom floor of the house smelled of mice, we saw a mouse inside on our first day, heard mice inside during the night, and saw mouse droppings in several areas of the house. There also isn’t any dumpster for trash and we were required to haul the trash to another location that had a dumpster. The house and location have potential to be a great mountain getaway; however, we would not return due to the mouse infestation.

I’ll also follow up on the dish rags to see what may have caused the concern.Regarding the Wi-Fi, I’m sorry no one reached out during the stay. We have had some issues recently, but if we had been contacted, we could have worked to resolve them right then.For trash, we don’t keep bins outside because animals can knock them over and create a mess. Unfortunately, there’s no dumpster service for this area. The only available pick-up is through the condos up the street, so that’s the option we have to work with.As for the mice, this is the time of year when they look for warmth, especially in a country setting. We are actively placing traps and repellents to address it. We’ll also double-check the lower level for any odors and take care of them promptly.We appreciate your understanding and feedback as we continue improving the experience for our guests."
