Wonderful Stay

This is our 3rd time staying at this location. As always, we truly enjoyed this beautiful and peaceful place. Many opportunities to hike nearby plus only 25 min. from the ocean. Mountains and the dessert are also a short drive away. Can't wait for our next trip to the San Diego area so we can stay here again!

Relaxing get-away

Very friendly and helpful owner. Checked to make sure we had everything we needed and made sure his construction noise wasn’t bothering us. Gave us special cleaning supplies for a fabric stain! Unit was clean and well appointed. We had everything we needed! Beautiful quiet area out of town. Amazing sunsets!!!!! Well behaved dog.

Perfect getaway

Absolutely loved our 2 night stay! The property looks exactly like the photos, beautifully decorated, super comfortable, and absolutely worth the price. You’re right in the heart of Alpine, with an easy 40 minute drive to downtown San Diego. We really appreciated being out of the city but still close enough to explore. The owner was incredibly friendly, we had a great chat as we were leaving. Would 100% stay here again. Five stars all the way!

Short stay in Alpine

This cottage is so comfortable!! Great furnishings, full kitchen, beautiful setting, 15 minutes to shopping. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. I arrived after dark, and they had the lights on for me. And there is a sweet dog! Very quiet at the end of their long driveway. I would stay again.

Great little cottage

It was a perfect place for us as our son and family lives close by. You might want to find out if there is a wedding venue going on during your stay. Owners were very friendly.

It’s a lovely space perfect for a weekend getaway! Everything was clean and well kept. The homeowners were very kind to us during our stay. If you’re looking for a vacation spot in Alpine or even right outside of San Diego this place is perfect!

Comfortable lodging, beautiful location, friendly and helpful host! Recommend arriving before dark, as the home is past the paved road and it was difficult to find at night. We had our 5-year-old granddaughter stay several nights with us unexpectedly, but the fold down sofa worked well for her bed. Eating space inside was limited to 2 at the small table, so that was a bit challenging with her. Our host went out of his way to help mitigate a stained dress by bringing us everything we needed to launder it from his personal inventory. So appreciated!!!

This was a wonderful place to stay! Very clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and appliances. Beautiful location! Hosts were attentive and provided great information on points of interest in the area. We highly recommend this location!

Wonderful Cozy Cottage

This was our second stay at this cozy Alpine cottage. We loved it the first time we stayed in July of 2024 and loved it just as much this time. The cottage is well stocked and very comfortable. There are many hiking trails very near by. The owners are very friendly and available to answer any questions about the area or address any issue that may arise (there were none for us). We hope to stay here again on our next visit to the area.

Great Mountain View and Bright Stars

Peaceful property away from the city life. Nicely decorated and fully stocked kitchen. Snacks and bottled water greeted us with a late arrival which was nice. Ample coffee pods. Comfortable bed. Tim was an awesome host. We will definitely be back.

Cozy Cottage Stay in Alpine Ca

The cottage is setup wonderfully, with all you need for amenities. It's an exceptional little cottage. My preference when booking was to be notified of the construction on the property. If you work remotely during this construction period it's not ideal. I couldn't open up the windows because of the noise and as a single women it was uncomfortable being on the property with 5 or more workers next to the cottage.Also, because the owner is working from his garage, it lacks any privacy if you wanted a get away. Otherwise, very nice.

Super cute little one bedroom cottage with great onsite owners! The place is decorated beautifully. Full kitchen and a large screen TV in the living area (no TV in the bedroom). We had a little trouble with the television. I guess you have to log into your own streaming accounts?Large 4-post bed with a comfy softer mattress that may need to be rotated around, as the side dips lower than the middle. Owners are very friendly, but not intrusive at all. Tim even washed my very dirty windshield for me before we headed home!Yes, I recommend that you stay here, and I'm thinking of a 2nd trip to visit the Alpine Cottage myself.

Awesome Stay

Came to the San Diego area for a 50th HS reunion. Did not want to stay near the city because of pricing and it being the Holiday weekend, we knew the traffic would be horrendous. This apartment was in the quaint town of Alpine. This is about 33 miles from downtown. The mountains and views were spectacular, quiet and relaxing. Our host, Tim, suggested a mini road trip..Sunrise Hwy, Kwaaymii Point, Cleveland National Forest, the town of Julien and Lake Cuyamaca. Well worth it. Also near numerous casinos. The apartment was perfect. Beautifully decorated. Comfortable bedding, well appointed kitchen. There is nothing I would change.We have stayed in many VRBO's and this was by far one of the best.

Peaceful & Quiet 4 Day Weekend!

Our recent stay was intended to provide a peaceful and quiet 4 Day weekend and this cozy Alpine property certainly delivered. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome by our host. Tim went out of his way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The place was fully stocked to include everything we needed. The living space was cozy and clean. There were ample towels, pillows, snacks and kitchen supplies to eat in if we chose to do so. Tim offered up some excellent dining choices to eat in town as well.The separate bedroom offered us restful nights sleep on a comfortable king size bed. The en suite bathroom and shower provided good water flow with cold and hot running water that did not run out. There is central AC and heat throughout the cottage and a cozy working fireplace in the living room.The cottage is located about five miles away from the main boulevard in Alpine and situated in the foothills of a beautiful property called 27 Acres. About a 10-15 minute drive to the local casino and about 30-35 minutes to Old Town San Diego.We will definitely be back and are already planning our return trip.Thank you Tim and Rita for making us feel at home in your beautiful home!
