Place was very nice and in a perfect location. Half a mile to Keyes Beach in one direction and half a mile to Main Street Hyannis in the other.

We had a great stay for 11 days. The house is large with everything you could need. The kitchen facilities were great— loaded with lots of pots and pans, dishes, glasses, etc. Having a washer and dryer was a real plus. It’s also extremely clean and the owner, Geoff was very responsive to questions and anything we needed. The location is central to everything and very close to the beaches. Great find!

Cape Cod Getaway

We enjoyed our stay. The listing was as pictured, so there is a lot of stuff. We didn’t have a working TV and the internet was not reliable, but we did enjoy our stay and were super close to everything. We walked to the beach and Main Street with ease.

Overall the house was as described however all of the furnishings and especially the carpets were much older than I expected. There were just too many old, worn out carpets on every surface which made the whole house feel dusty and not super clean. Bed lamp was falling apart, drawers were hard to open. The location is good, close to shops and restaurants in Hyannis. The house really has everything you need but it definitely could use some sprucing up.

Cape Cod Stay

Thanks to this rental we had a great stay on Cape Cod. We are local to the New England area and are very familiar with surrounding towns, but had never been to Barnstable before. This was a great centralized location that was close to everything- the beach, main street, and everything one might need. The kitchen, bathroom, and rooms were stocked with anything a group may need for a comfortable stay. My friends and I had a great time. Thanks for having us!

not great the front door/front step area is very dilapidated and not welcoming: dead plants, paint needed badly (the inside entry step is higher than normal)inside is too much stuff (dare I say the big H) 20 rugs of wool to slip on or be allergic to;old old embroidery canvases darkening every cornerit is very dark and cluttered; the owner made a request I have never encountered atany other evolve property: he demanded the heat not be turned up beyond 74 for cool damp cape cod nights on the positive: it is a very good location to all in HYANNIS and the birds like the backyard trees

If you’re needing a place to stay, it’s an ok option. But if you are spending time at the house I would not recommend. The location is great but everything else was on the more rough side.Before the trip even started, the communication with the Evolve property management was really over complicated and frustrating. I could never get a straight answer. Then, when I asked if we could check in early, I was told maybe and then communication was cut off until it was time to check in. The house was very musty and not very comfortable. Everything seemed very old and not clean. The bedding smelled, the kitchen cups smelled, the beach chairs were broken, the beach towels were ratty, two beds had stained sheets and the pillowcases had holes or (possibly blood) stains on them (photos attached). The hair dryer is so old, the products in the bathroom or kitchen were borderline expired, overall not great. We booked this place for the location and what looked like a nice charming place but it really didn’t meet the mark.

From our team at Evolve, we responded to your questions and provided assistance, though we regret that it wasn’t as helpful as you’d hoped.– The home is accurately represented in the listing and professional photos. The rates are aligned with what we offer, and it’s a comfortable, correctly advertised option in a great location.– We wish you had reached out during your stay to share your concerns. We never heard from you on any of these items, but we’ve taken note of your comments on cleanliness, linens, amenities, and stocking. Our cleaners consistently do a great job preparing the home, and we’ll continue to monitor these areas moving forward.The homeowner and their team work hard to provide the best possible guest experience, and we look forward to this property continuing to host many satisfied guests.

Disappointed

We had a good vacation but the house was a little disappointing. The lock box was difficult to put back up on the house, There was only one key and when I called the number no one got back to us until the next day to tell us that there was another key under the mat in front of the door, Not too comforting to know that it was there for anyone to use. The instructions for the wi-Fi was not very clear and we finally found the piece of wood it was painted on in another room. There was only one roll of toilet paper and the house was musty smelling. The entrance and the sitting area outside was not cleaned up well, foliage was so overgrown. the grill was dirty and there were rusty items all around. We opened the back door to be sure of a second exit in case of an emergency and the bushes and trees were so overgrown onto the house. Sorry but I had to be honest. We were quite surprised that any of the VRBO companies would rent a house like this.
