Street access to carport and fabulous private alfresco deck. The lounge & dining room overlooks a leafy & large frontage. Bright & spacious kitchen with breakfast bar & laundry facilities overlooks the deck. Both bedrooms offer ceiling fans and full BIRs. Stylish bathroom with a double headed shower & full deep bath. Separate powder room. Warmed & cooled by split system & ducted heating. Short stroll to station, restaurants & beach. Mordialloc is full of life- a buzzing restaurant district! Walk home via the creek which has a fab playground for the kids
This home is our piece of paradise in a family friendly quiet Mordialloc street. A charming, warm & inviting solid brick pad where you’ll feel at home to
relax & unwind on your coastal stay with your family.
The unit boasts 2 bedrooms (kids in bunk beds) plus a queen bed for the master off the passage way. There is a double bed in the second bedroom too. A full floor to ceiling tiled bathroom with full deep bath & a separate powder room.
The living & dining room is separate to the kitchen both also off the passage way. The sun drenched kitchen looks out to the elevated deck & you’ll find a hidden laundry area with washing machine & trough as well as pegs to hang washing on the full clothes line next to the deck. Laundry detergent provided. A dryer is wall hung above wm.
It’s the perfect setting to unwind after a day filled with endless possibilities at your doorstep:

- Main shopping strip (coffee, homewares, fashion & eateries) brisk 5 min walk

Just the best place we ever stayed!

Excellent location: quite place close to the beach, station and local shops/restaurants. Stylish, very clean and having everything you need to relax, cook and enjoy your staying in Melbourne. We arrived about midnight and Heidi was so kind to provide us with everything we needed for breakfast and many other helpful things like salt, oil, spices, pasta, coffee, tea, etc. Many thanks, Heidi.

Home away from home

This weekend we had the privilege of staying at this beautiful little gem, it was truely a "home away from home." An absolutely gorgeous home with such a welcomed touch from the host, who made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable, safe and enjoyable stay. It was magnificent! Super host is an understatement! ❀ We can't wait to have the opportunity to book another stay and feel the warmth and comfort in this cosy home. Thank you!!!!! ❀❀❀❀❀

The sweetest stay ever

We traveled far from the US and didn’t know anyone. Our hosts have become our first friends here! Upon arrival, they had everything we could ever need and more. Special toys and little details to make the children and adults feel at home. The home is very clean, the beds are all comfy and the neighborhood is just lovely. The walk along the creek to the beach and town is just perfection. We’re staying at least another month! If you’re looking for a host who cares and a relaxing stay, you won’t be disappointed. It’s a gem for sure.

Perfect family retreat

This home has everything you need and more! Comfy beds, bath for the lil ones. Owner had essentials waiting for us in the kitchen which was a blessing after a long trip from NZ. Plenty of cutlery/crockery for our 2 year old. Toys, beautiful deck to chill on, washing machine. Short walk to playground, also a great family beer and pizza place in the industrial area which a kids play area. Mordi is such a fun place to stay, Morsi canteen best coffee, mates bar was awesome! Didn’t get time to try it all, but highly recommend as a place to stay. The photos don’t do it justice - you won’t regret booking this home for a couple or family stay. Thank you!

The perfect stay!

Our second stay at Heidi & Tim's place! It is such a gem. Very clean, kid friendly and the perfect location. We were nervous about having 1 bathroom for our family, but the way the property is set up -- it worked out fine! The huge soaking tub, shower and sink are separate from the toilet. The beds are super comfy, which is hard for us to find! Great linens, plenty of towels and blankets. The back deck was our favorite hang out spot. The neighbors are lovely and inviting. It's a happy place and the hosts couldn't be more kind and helpful. We'll be back!

I’m from Melbourne- I was raised in St. Kilda & my family moved to Murrumbeena. The Mordi Gem 💎 was the first property I purchased in my 20s. I have lived in it & rented it out so others can enjoy it too. I lived here with my husband & children when they were born. We knew we had to find a larger home to raise our family but we were very reluctant to leave. We found our forever home live Ocean Grove & made the big country change! We love Ocean Grove but are so lucky to hold onto our Gem & visit for a city stay!
We enjoy looking after people. The kids help me prepare The Gem sometimes. I enjoy cleaning it & preparing it for guests. I do spend a lot of time making sure you will feel special & comfortable. From fresh linen & to comfy bedding & yummy treats. We have you covered ❀

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Gipps Avenue is chosen by many locals as the best street in Mordi. Quiet but oh so central. A street away from the creek, up the road from the milkbar & school with the shops a short stroll away.
Recently, the industrial area at the end of the street has boomed with cool & funky art, cafes & businesses including street art from famous street artists, vintage shops, breweries, restaurants & a chocolate shop! Hot choc on a cold day 😋
You can find a Farmers Market in the reserve on Govenor Rd- next to the creek from time to time.
The Gem is so quiet. It’s tucked in between 2 wonderful neighbours- the entire complex is lovely. You still feel a part of the street from the elevated deck.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

It’s private as you can walk straight onto the deck from the street! It’s the second property in- buffered from the street albeit very quiet anyhow.
A huge front grassed area makes for a lot of space to spread around or for kids to play.
Unlimited ducted heating, split system air conditioning & hot water. A heat light in the bathroom & fans make the home very comfortable.
Many other properties restrict the use of hot water, heating & cooling. We do not. We want you to be as comfortable in the home as we are when we stay!
