The building where you stay is certified as a "Kanazawa Machiya".
It is a traditional townhouse-style wooden building built in the middle of the Taisho period (100 years old), and has been renovated to accommodation.
Facilities while retaining the traditional design and taste.
If you are interested in architecture, please take a look at the 100-year-old Honjuraku wall, a clay wall that uses soil from the base to the finish and Juraku clay from Kyoto is used for the finish of the clay wall.
Yakusugi cedar, quail heather ceiling, and black persimmon floor frame, using rare materials such as a
ceiling made of Yaku cedar from Yakushima island, a world heritage site that can no longer be cut down. If this house were to be demolished, it is a rare house where the Yaku cedar ceiling and various wood parts could be sold at a high price.
If you are interested in crafts, please see the crafts of Kanazawa such as Kaga Yuzen hand painted silk, Wajima lacquerware, Kutani china ware, Ohi ceramic art.
In order to cover for the winter cold, we put heat insulating material in the roof, walls, floors and put in floor heating on the 1st fioor.
Even so, the cold air from the windows and the small gaps in the fittings cannot be completely blocked, but I think that the guest who come from areas with little snow will be able to spend their time comfortably.

ă»About smoking
Unfortunately, before we opened, there were people in the neighborhood who were concerned about fires caused by misfires and the smell of cigarettes, so we have decided to prohibit smoking inside the building.
