Bubbles Bach-dog friendly, close to beach & shops!

Brand new 3 bedroom beach house. Tastefully furnished, with two bathrooms & sleeps 7, perfect for family & friends. Great location, an easy stroll to the beach, local dairy, fish and chip shop and one of the best cafes in Waihi Beach - the award winning Surf Shack. Pets allowed, the section is fully fenced with a gate so you can relax with your pup (handy for small children too). Full laundry, outdoor shower, dining on deck area, lawn for the kids and dog to play on - an ideal holiday spot!

There are three comfortable bedrooms, two with Queen size beds and one with 3 singles. The master bedroom has its own ensuite and the other two bedrooms use the seperate bathroom with shower, vanity and toilet. The open plan lounge area with fully equipped kitchen and dining area is perfect for entertaining or relaxing. The living opens onto the deck and garden with an indoor/outdoor flow perfect for that holiday feel.

Relax on the deck enjoying a glass of wine while the kids and pets run around on the fully fenced lawn. Cook on that BBQ and enjoy outdoor dining on the deck. After a short walk to beach nearby have a swim followed by an ice cream from. the famous yellow dairy just a couple of minutes stroll from the house, wash off in the custom built outdoor shower area then sunbath on the lawn or deck. Wake up late to the sounds of the waves crashing on the beach and wander down tot he surf shack cafe for brunch, coffee or one of their award winning burgers with a craft beer. It really doesn't get any easier on holiday!

If you bring your boat there is a coin operated ramp 5 minutes away at Bowentown next to the boat club or launch off the Beach at Anzac Bay. The is are is amazing as it has the waves and surf on the main Waihi beach but it also has the protected tidal harbour for fishing, water skiing, kayaking and wind surfing or venture out across the bar for excellent fishing and diving out at sea. Enjoying a round of golf is possible in Waihi and Katikati. There's a huge range of great cafes and shops in the area, the best are mentioned in our local guidebook or feel free to ask your host if you have any specific questions.

Perfect location

The Bach is just a short stroll to the beach and right where the surf lifeguards are patrolling so perfect for swimming. Handy to local shops and cafes. Facilities in the bach are good and the lawn around the house was great for our dog. We took a small piece of netting to plug the gap between the fence and the gate as our dog is small. Easy access to the key and nice followup before and after check-in. Thanks for a great stay at Waihi Beach.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

IIt's just a short walk down the road to the ocean beach, with one of Waihi Beaches better cafes the Surf Shack just a min or two down a local pathway at the end of the street. This house is also a minute or so walk from the estuary walkway that is perfect for bird watching, walking, running or biking, this 5km track runs alongside the estuary and ends at the Bowentown reserve which features a kids playground, boat ramp, restaurant and boat club where you can also grab a meal. If it's a more quiet beach you're after, Anzac Cove is a 5 min drive away, perfect for kids who don't like waves!

The beaches nearby are wonderful for walking, shell collecting, swimming, surfing or playing in the sand. There are many well equipped children’s playgrounds in the area as well as great walking and biking tracks including the famous Mountain Bike trail through the Karangahake Gorge. This trail is great for kids (or any age) you pass over bridges, through tunnels and explore the old gold mine and waterfall. There are also mineral hot pools nearby at both Athenree Holiday Park and Sapphire Springs in Katikati (if you go to Sapphire Springs take the nearby walk to the southernmost giant Kauri in NZ, a short 30 min round trip through beautiful NZ bush).

Nearby Waihi Beach village is full of boutique shops, fantastic restaurants and cafes, a small supermarket and award-winning butcher making this area full of everything you need for that perfect getaway!

This beach house is in an ideal location to explore the Bay of Plenty. Tauranga is a 1-hour drive, and Coromandel is 1.5 hours. The Karangahake Gorge is 20 min drive away for wonderful walking and exploring as well as a winery, restaurant and café, a waterfall and bike trails. Hobbiton is only an hours drive away and the famous Waitomo Caves or Rotorua both 1.5-2 hours away by car. Auckland International airport is also only 2 hours drive.
