Absolutely Amazing

This place was more than we could have imagined. We had 14 adults with plenty of room to get away and relax. The lake was beautiful and the scenery amazing. This really is a castle. We plan on making this an our yearly retreat.

Beautiful and Unique Vacation Space

Our group of 8 adults and 10 children had a great time here. The castle is beautiful, spacious and clean. The outdoor space is as much of an attraction as the indoor space with kayaking, fishing a small beach space and a fire pit right in the backyard. Of course the kids loved the indoor pool as well.

What a memorable experience!

We had the most amazing weekend at the castle with our family and friends! From the moment we arrived, we absolutely loved everything about this beautiful property. The castle was incredibly well stocked with everything we could possibly need for our stay—plenty of bath and beach towels, cookware, pots and pans, serving bowls, plates, glassware, and so much more. It made gathering together and preparing meals so easy and enjoyable. The grounds were just as incredible. Everyone enjoyed walking the property, seeing the animals on-site, swimming in the lake, and relaxing around the campfire in the evenings. One of our favorite memories was having a wonderful feast together around the enormous dining table. In the evenings, we loved sitting on the back deck with cocktails, overlooking the lake and watching the beautiful sunset. It was peaceful, relaxing, and absolutely gorgeous. Our entire stay was truly amazing and gave us memories we will never forget. We are already talking about and planning our trip back next year!Thank you so much, Dean & Lisa, for sharing such an incredible place. The castle is AMAZING! We cannot wait to return! ❤️

What an amazing property with attention to detail in every room. The experience was definitely one that we will always remember from playing pool to swimming in the pool. From fishing to roasting a marshmallow at the campfire. The Master Suite was truly something to behold and loved the small touch of the king and queen capes! I loved looking up more of the history. Everywhere you looked some thing to be seen and I know we didn't see it all. The massive fireplaces and all the carved wood definitely showed the creativity of Guenther Foerster who built this amazing home from a small two room cabin to what it is today. The craftsman ship outside is spectacular with all the gargoyles...each one unique and the view from the tower as the sunset was nothing less than breathtaking. The stars at night were so bright and you could easily spot the big dipper and the milky way too. The hummingbirds have been coming there for years and likely drawn to the property by the original red roof. It was a blessing to be with someone who had previously helped to build and maintain the castle for over 15 years of his life. The stories he told and now being able to see them in real life was AMAZING!!!!

What a wonderful review to read — thank you for sharing such a heartfelt account of your stay! We're so glad the attention to detail throughout the property stood out, from the Master Suite's special touches to the fireplaces and carved woodwork. It sounds like the pool, campfire, fishing, and tower views at sunset made for a truly memorable visit, and how special that you got to experience it alongside someone with such a deep connection to the property's history. The gargoyles, the hummingbirds, the stars at night — it's clear this stay left a lasting impression, and we couldn't be happier to hear it.

This property worked very well for our family. The Castle was close enough to the wedding venue and far enough to be away from it all. The fishing was great for the kids, we definitely spent more time outside having fun rather than watching screens. Wifi and internet worked great, but this location is a great place to disconnect unwind and enjoy.

Family gathering

Our group stayed here after a larger family reunion at Trout Lodge, YMCA. The place was great with something to do for everyone. Having a private, CLEAN pool for the family is amazing. We hiked around and boated around the lake, made s’mores by a campfire, played pool and darts and board games and grilled meals. This house lets you do it all and has the space to visit family and also have alone time. I’d love to come back.

Beautiful and peaceful setting

My family of 14 people needed a place for all of us to stay for the holidays. The twin turrets was a great fit for what we needed. Everyone had their own bed, the bathrooms took a little time to get showers scheduled, since there are only 2 showers, but it worked out. The home was fun to explore inside and out. We went for some walks on the trails, enjoyed watching the ducks and geese, or just looking out at the lake. So peaceful!

We are planning on making the half bath in the Tree house a full bath which will help a lot. I hope you and your family get to come again."

Awesome property!!

We just celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary and I wanted to share the occasion with our children and their families. I especially wanted to stay somewhere that offered a variety of things to do for various age groups. This property did NOT disappoint!Everyone had a GREAT time; from the indoor pool to the paddle boat, to the fishing and the trails around the property, you name it, we enjoyed it!The “great room” is like something out of a medieval fairy tale…everyone was drawn to this room time and again and the view looking out at the lake was phenomenal. The kitchen is well stocked with assorted spices, two refrigerators, numerous pots, pans, coffee pots, etc. The bedrooms are comfortable; everything is clean and inviting. Our grandchildren loved the upstairs “tree house” bedrooms. There are peacocks and quail to observe, with guineas and ducks freely roaming on the property. There are wineries within six to ten miles to visit, if desired. Honestly though, you have everything you need here…the view…the privacy…the serenity…We will be back and we definitely won’t wait fifty more years to do so!

Wonderfully Unique Family Getaway

We elected to stay at the Twin Turret Farm and Castle for a quick Spring Break trip with the entire family - 15 of us, ranging in age from 4 to 68. From the minute we arrived, the trip was perfect. There truly was something for everyone - hiking, fishing, kayaking, a sand area for the kids to play, and numerous outdoor spaces to sit and relax. And inside was just as incredible. The kids felt like royalty at the "king & queen" table. The pool table, indoor pool, and darts provided lots of late night entertainment. There was so much space to spread out which made the stay that much more enjoyable. The bedrooms were all well furnished and beds were comfortable. It felt like the host had thought of everything - plenty of towels, kitchenwares of every sort, life jackets, sand toys, games, etc. Anything we needed was available to us. We were aware going in, but we were a bit far from civilization, so be sure to bring any food and drinks with you as a trip to town will take an hour minimum. Again, no issue, just something to be aware of. Additionally, there are steps galore inside the house. This is clearly stated in the listing, but is of note.Overall, we had the best time and are already coming up with excuses to go back. The pictures seriously under sell the vastness of the property (both inside and out) and the amenities provided. The newly added deck was a wonderful surprise! Looking forward to a future stay.

We try to keep plenty of things to keep everyone busy and plenty of places to just sit back and chill as well. We just added the full bath upstairs, it was only a half bath until the beginning of March. We are planning on doing many more things, so you need to come back to see them, and I hope you do!"
