It was cozy and tidy.. I think that maybe if there was coffee at least that would have been kool & this is just a suggestion.. A golf cart would b ideal.. We rented electric bikes and that was great but the next time we go back and we are planning to go back I would definitely rent one with a cart.. all in all it was a very cozy place..
Beds are extremely uncomfortable. No additional blankets. Not going to sleep with a nasty comforter. Sofa and chairs didn't look clean. Old worn out furniture. Had to clean the outdoor furniture before sitting on them. It's a low budget rental place and should be updated.
I grew up sailing over to Catalina ever year with my grandfather and we got the family to all get together again. The house was a perfect layout for my family, the only thing is the properties could use a little vamping. But itâs all the houses pretty much. All in all we enjoyed our stay
Beware of couch & guest required to do housekeeping!
My husband booked a Catalina getaway for my birthday⊠the location was awesome however upon entering the place we noticed everything looked very rundown but seeing there were new trash bags in the trash can I was glad at least that there was housekeeping there.
The couch was so dilapidated to such an extent that it was impossible to relax for the entirety of our trip and we developed hip pain.
The tv in the bedroom did not work so there was nowhere else we could watch tv.
The bed was horribly noisy and the other bed had broken pieces that couldâve been at least glued. The shower head was broken so you had to hold the wand in your hand while taking a shower.
Then on the morning of checkout we get an email that we should take the trash out, replace the trash bags and wash our own dishes! I was mortified when there was no dish soap and I realized we had used dishes that other people also âjust rinsedâ.
The wine glass had a crust at the bottom that I was unable to scrape off and that the housekeeping evidence of clean trash bags were by the last occupants NOT housekeeping.
At any price per night the least they could do is put a decent enough couch and working tv so that the guests could relax and enjoy themselves and hire housekeepers and not require guest to do housekeeping. Save your money, itâs better to spend a little more or stay at a hotel cause itâs definitely not getting your moneyâs worth! Itâs insulting!
We didnât spend much time in place but had all we needed while we were there with the exception of Couldnât find to beach towels and instructions for multiple remotes. I had two teens with me who can figure all that out but I would have been lost.
We came when the weather was on the hotter side. Sure wish it had some sort of ac unit to use in bedroom at least while sleeping. It was very uncomfortable hot even at night. Left windows open which then you hear crying babies, yelling, people partying wake you up in the place directly across from our window. Another issue that happened when we left to enjoy beach and it being so Hot we left windows open in cottage , unfortunately someone decide to break in and rummage thru all of our luggage! Thankfully we had all our money with us and didnât bring in valuable jewelry. The sliding glass door was left wide open when they left and all our items were everywhere. Very concerning didnât report it because nothing was stolen. Wasnât to sure who to contact either. Kinda left us a little uncomfortable sleeping at night also with windows open due to it being so Hot! Any other time we left we locked every window in the house. Which then left the cottage to feel like a 500 degree oven when we returned! It was horrible! We also didnât have a golf cart included in cottage like some others did. Thankfully I brought a foldable wagon to lug items. The couch also is very uncomfortable to sit on. I know We wonât be back sadly to this rental. The sleeping arrangements are a little awkward to - maybe purchase a nicer couch with a better pull out bed thatâs comfortable. With how much we paid nightly I wished for better.
This house was perfect for our weekend on the island. Close to everything. Plenty of room for all of us and clean and stocked with everything we needed
Super cute house. Has all you need of cooking at home during your stay. Front porch with a couple of chairs, great for that morning cup of coffee. Quiet neighborhood just a few blocks from shopping , food and the pier.
The place is clean and outfitted with fully stocked kitchen for cooking, coffee machine, clean linens and toilet paper. The TVs worked and had channels mainly for sports fans. The ceiling fan in the bedroom worked and with the windows and screen door open, we kept the place cool at night. The area feels very very safe -- you are definitely get the feel of a local neighborhood. You are just a few blocks from the big Vons.
We stayed over a Friday and Saturday and despite being well off the main drag, there was plenty of golf cart traffic and smell. As pictured, there is a bunk bed sharing the room with the queen room. The full mattress in the bunk bed sags so much that it was impossible for an adult to sleep there. The top bunk had two mattresses on it, making it so high above the railing that it wasn't safe for our kids to sleep up there. The extra showerhead didn't have a hook and so it just kind of flopped around. The dryer was out of service and as we were packing to leave the power went out in the microwave and fridge. All in all, as a place to stay, perfectly serviceable for us and I would give it a B-. Because of the price, I would have expected at least decent mattresses in the beds, and so a C is our final grade.
