Miramar Vacation

Enjoyed condo. Loved lay out of condo. Gulf cart , ran out of juice, had to be towed back. Drew answered call and came quickly to help. Was much appreciated due to had parents with me 86 and mother blind. I had left lights on but than charged over night. Did not hold charge very long. Other than that trip was great. Will be planning trip for next year. Rental company was very friendly and helpful!! 😁

Great little house, BAD pest control

The place was nice and in a great little community. The golf cart was very handy except it didn't stay charged very long at all, we almost didn't make it back from the village which is about a mile away. Our complaint was the bugs! We didn't notice until the 2nd night that there were cockroaches in the kitchen. Just happened to get up in the middle of the night and when the lights came on they were crawling all over the counters. The other problem was the mosquitoes. We literally couldn't walk from the front door to the vehicle without being attacked and any time the door opened at least half a dozen flew in. Not sure anything could be done about them, but they're horrible around there. Honestly, the place would've been perfect if it hadn't been for the pests, hopefully they can take care of that.

Disappointing response

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented this home for a stay with 2 of our young grandchildren. Other family members had a home in Sandestin as well. While preparing breakfast, the breaker box started smoking so we cut off power to home. After calling Destin Getaway office, we were told all electricians were busy and will be there probably about 4pm. I called at 7ish. Worried about safety, I stayed home while everyone went to the beach. Electrician finally came around 4 and replaced 4 bad breakers. Destin Getaways is hard to get in contact with and did not have any concern for our safety or inconvenience. This review is not about the owners because it is a nice property. Its the management that is the issue. They didn’t even give us the rules and regulations of Sandestin.

We would like all guest to know we are extremely concerned about guest safety when staying at our properties. We called multiple electricians in the area who were already booked up and unavailable. However, Peaden was available but they were unable to service the property till late afternoon. While we understand the major inconvenience this caused unfortunately, when having to rely on outside sources we are at their mercy. We talked several times with Mr. Gibbs and he was compensated for the inconvenience the breaker box caused during his stay. As far as rules and regulations go we are unsure of what specifically the guest needed to know otherwise we would of been happy to inform him of any restrictions. Our top priority is guest safety and a memorable vacation unfortunately, there are some issues that we cannot control however, we swiftly resolve them.

Spring Break 2021!

My family really enjoyed our stay at this property. The property is a single family house, so you don’t have to share a common wall with neighbors. Most properties at Sandestin don’t have this option so it’s a big bonus. The house is clean, comfy and roomy. The living room and dining room furniture were comfortable for our stay. The kitchen is fully stocked for all cooking and dining need (pots, pans, silverware, cooking utensils, plates, bowls, glasses, etc). There is a dual Keurig pod and carafe coffee machine. All the beds were comfortable. I read in a previous review a complaint about the master bed mattress. I found the master bed mattress to be very comfortable and in good condition but it is not super firm, so my guess is the previous review is a matter of preference. The washing machine is a little noisy so we just ran it during the day when needed. No big deal. We loved being able to use the golf cart!!! Sandestin is golf cart central and we loved being able to get around via golf cart just like everyone else! The golf cart was a major bonus of this property. We were really happy with the location of the property as well. It’s located on a quieter part of the Sandestin complex and it’s nice to have the option to be a little more secluded from all the other tourists and travelers. We would have liked to see the covered outdoor space in better condition. We didn’t use it at all because the furniture cushions seem to be left outdoors all the time. The covered outdoor space needs to be spruced up and afforded the same attention as the interior of the house. That being said, the condition of the outdoor space didn’t detract from our overall stay. This property is clean and comfortable and we were able to safely relax and unwind.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental was okay, the amenities that came with it were great. My only complaint is that the cleaning could have been a little better in the master bedroom and bath and the guest bath. Also, if it could be sprayed for pests that would be great. The master bedroom had extra sheets and pillows in the closet that I couldn't tell if they were clean or not. The guest shower wasn't fully cleaned. And there were lots of mosquitos and other small insects in the carport, front door and also made it inside. Overall it wasn't bad at all, the amenities that came with it were excellent, I would consider staying again, I just was expecting a bit more for the price.

My happy place

This was a great rental. We loved having the golf cart to ride around in. Close to everything. We also enjoyed the gas grill to come our own steaks. We can’t wait to come back.

February 2022 Stay

This individual unit was perfect for our month long stay. The resort offers wonderful walking and biking paths. The golf cart is a plus as you can use it to get all around including grocery shopping. The beach access is so easy to use via foot, bike or cart. (As I try to type this review nothing actually sows so not sure what anyone may see.)

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Rental was in a great location, very spacious and had lots of extras. We were very impressed that the rental came with things like beach chairs, pool noodles, sand toys and an umbrella! Such a huge bonus. The rental also had a huge closet full of games to play. Kitchen came with paper towels, dishwasher soap and any utensil or appliance you could think of. It did only come with one trash bag, which was frustrating because who wants to go buy trash bags on vacation!The only negatives are small. The second bed in the guest bedroom is as hard as a rock. The air vents make rattling noises, if you are a light sleeper it could keep you awake so bring some earplugs. We found the backyard porch/patio area unusable as it was very dirty.

Reviewer Comments: everything was just as described. we had absolutely everything we needed in the house. would've been nice if the golf cart had a 3rd row for carrying more stuff to and from the beach but we definitely made it work.

Great Place!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really enjoyed staying in this condo. It has so many extras, that aren't listed that will make your beach trips perfect! We did have some trouble with the AC unit, maintenance was able to fix the issue, but the unit still had trouble keeping up during the hottest parts of the day. Also, the front door locked like a hotel, and my 1 1/2 year old was able to open the door and leave the condo at his pleasure. An additional lock would have been helpful, but I realize that issue does not apply to all, and definitely not the owners fault. Overall, I would book this rental again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was exactly how it is described. Cute little house with everything we needed for our stay. It had beach toys, chairs, umbrellas, etc! The golf cart was a huge plus! It made it very convenient to go to the beach, to the pool, or to get a few items from the store. We will definitely be coming back in the future! Such a beautiful area!

The only issue I had was that some very valuable beach equipment was provided but NOT listed in the listing. We lugged a large tent, beach chairs etc. on a long drive with limited room for no reason. If you advertise that a beach umbrella and chairs are provided that would be great!
