Tiny home on working gourmet mushroom farm just minutes outside of Gibsons.
So THAT"S how gourmet mushrooms are grown!!? Overlooking the beautiful Walker Creek with huge trees, wildlife and lots of sun, this rustic, clean, cozy tiny home was built with the lovely gully in mind. Walking to Gibsons along the farm stand road allows us to enjoy the quiet, rural beauty and bounty only minutes from town. Truly the best of both worlds. Tiny is a non-conventional tiny home on wheels with an open floor plan for the feel of space, light and air... We know that not everyone can use composting toilets in their homes but we are lucky here to be able to give back to the planet with our bucket toilets, grey water filters and composting.....well everything.... ;) so be sure to ask for a tour of the mushroom facility and join us for some truly down to earth living. :)
My friends and I had an amazing stay at this tiny home near Gibsons. It was a great base to explore some of the sunshine coast, but also a great place to hang out inside during the rain!
Very warm and hospitable, welcoming and super accommodating. At one point we had forgotten to get butter for a recipe and our host brought us some within a few minutes of asking. Sarah really went above and beyond. The space had so much personality, and made our whole trip feel all the more whimsical. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
We absolutely loved our stay at Sarahâs! It was super cute, cozy and quiet, in a great location. A nice bike ride from the ferry, close to different restaurants & beaches. Would highly recommend YES cidery, cider was delicious, and the coffee/breakfast there in the morning was phenomenal! There was homemade Ukrainian food being sold on the property as well, which was an amazing surprise! Plus Sarah gave us a tour of her mushroom farm which was super cool and informative!! :) We will definitely be back!
This little gem surrounded by green lush and away from the city was exactly what we needed. Sarah is lovely and accommodating and youâre so close to everything for any day trips! We made lasting memories here and would definitely recommend! Truly a home away from home :)
We had a lovely time at this mushroom farm hideaway! The accommodations are very cozy and the host was warm and welcoming. Hope to return again for a longer stay!
Sarah is the best host ever! Her property is so beautiful, clean, and cozy! One of the best places Iâve ever stayed at. I canât wait to visit Sarahâs tiny home again!
Sarahâs tiny house isnât just charming, itâs crafted. Every detail feels intentional, from the creek whispering under the loft window to the clever use of space. The bed is divine, the kitchen's amazingly usable, and the location is perfect. If you're craving a quiet recalibration in the woods - with plumbing that respects the planet and a host who is present, warm, and clearly invested in the land - this is your place. 'Tiny' is a design poem: compact but spacious, serene without being sterile, and rich in character.Come for the tranquility, stay for the composting toilet that makes you feel like a responsible adult. Will absolutely return.
A fun place to chill while enjoying the beautiful Sunshine Coast
Sarah (host) was very friendly and available for communication. We enjoyed the tiny house immensely as something different. Close to Gibsons and a short drive to Sechelt. Keep your devices minimized and enjoy some quiet time!
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the tiny house. It is so unique, a cross between a cozy cabin and a great tree house. Sarah has created something special at Walker Creek Farm.
A perfect little home amongst the trees. Very high spec and with all the amenities and facilities to feel like youâre being pampered while helping to give back to the earth. A very generous and helpful host and such a peaceful, comfortable place to re-centre. I canât wait to come back.
Sarah is amazing. Her farm is amazing. And the tiny home she offers up for people like me is cozy, well designed, and inspiring. Shows what you can do with just a little space. Great retreat.
The home was comfortable, quiet, and private, with greenery and trees outside every window. While I didn't cook there, it looked well equipped. Sarah was a wondeful host, and it was amazing to learn how mushroom are cultivated! Absolutely would stay again.
Sarahâs tiny home was a delight to stay in. The surroundings are beautiful, the tiny home tastefully decorated and well equipped for an effortless stay. It is very close to shopping in Gibsons and the marina just a short drive away. Make sure to ask Sarah for a tour of the mushroom farm - it is amazing. This tiny home is a great experience.
We have always wanted to stay in a tiny home and this stay checked all the boxes and more. Clean & comfortable within a relaxing, quiet setting (other than natures voice) was just what we like. Our kids thought they were in a fairytale and loved it so much they didnt want to leave. Our host Sarah was very nice, informative, great with our kids and delightful to talk with. The mushroom farm is super interesting and the tour through the labor intensive process was not only educational but fun to see.
We had such a wonderful stay in Sarahs tiny home! So much that we didnt want to leave. Sarah was so helpful and quick to answer any questions we had. The tiny home is the perfect getaway and really became such a memorable place for my family and I. We enjoyed coffee in the morning outside surrounded by trees and the Sarah was also kind enough to give is a tour of her mushroom farm! We highly recommend you visit Sarah and her tiny home. We will be coming back to visit throughout the year for sure!
Just a delightful experience - everything from the initial check in... to being serenaded by frogs in the evening as we fell asleep. Tiny is an amazing functionality in a small space. Loved morning coffees basking in the sun overlooking the gulley. Sarah is an amazing host - and wow! - it was so generous of her to take us on a super cool and mind blowing tour of her mushroom farm - thank you for your time!! Sarah is contributing to the world in an important way, and we left inspired. The compost toilet is actually so great and wow we actually miss it!! Will definitely be back. All this and the mushrooms are sooooo, sooo delicious. We miss them already. Thanks so much, Gary & Amanda
Iâm SO glad we decided to book this adorable tiny home for our business trip to the Sunshine Coast. We had such a beautiful stay! Sarah went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and more. It was such a treat to sit outside in the morning and drink a Nespresso coffee looking out over the gulley. Photos do not do it justice!
One thing I would like to mention for anyone who is not sure what to expect when it comes to composting toilets (because we also werenât sure) - it turned out to be a surprisingly pleasant experience! The built-in fan eliminated any odour whatsoever from the bathroom. My husband and I both agreed that it was far superior to a conventional toilet in that regard. Plus you get to experience living in an eco-friendly way, giving back to the earth! Very cool.
I highly recommend checking out this little gem of a place! Such a great value and very convenient location.
