Located just a 10-minute drive from downtown Chemainus and Ladysmith, our 15-acre hobby farm provides a convenient yet peaceful retreat, with breathtaking mountain views right from your doorstep. With trails spanning the property and direct access to the Trans-Canada Trail, guests of all ages can safely explore throughout the seasons, indulge in the abundance of fresh fruits, vegetables, and wildflowers at your fingertips, and enjoy interacting with our friendly farm animals.
Misty Haven had the feel of staying on a farm . The trailer worked well for what we wanted . Shower and washroom (only for people staying in the trailer) was available in the nearby house which was nice as the trailer shower was a bit on the small side . Had a bit of a side with the hot water heater but eventually it appeared to work itself out . Trans Canada trail is right at the back of the property which is quite handy if you should want to access it . Farm animals were quite nice to have around and the goats were quite entertaining in the evening . Overall we had a good stay .
My children and I loved our stay at Misty Haven!
The property is beautiful and the host is very kind.
The animals are very sweet and the garden and orchard are plentiful!
We would definitely go back!
Really enjoyed staying at Misty Haven Farm. Sitting on the deck in the evening watching the natural world and the roster with his clutch of hens grazing amid the rabbits, listening to the birds...a wonderful place to rest, relax and regroup with caring hosts.
The camper was very comfortable as was the bed. It was very clean and private. The view from the porch is beautiful. The owners are friendly and helpful. It is easy to get around the island from this location and a convenient ferry trip to visit Gabriola island for a day.
Very nice relaxing getaway !I am very fond of the RV, so many cabinets and so spacious! The bed is so comfortable and pillows so soft! The host is so friendly and welcoming, I love the farm animals as well! Such a simpleway of living. I loved looking into the nice mountains view.i will be staying here again I highly recommend this place!10 starts for me
Great place, great people. Safe and quiet. Some goats, chickens and ducks to see and feed. Deer and lots of rabbits. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.
The family hosting us were extremely responsive and hospitable. I would recommend this for any family looking for a quiet farm stay experience!
We took bikes along and thereâs a back gate with access to the main bicycle trail from the farm. That was helpful as it let us access Ladysmith, Saltair and Chemainus.
Everything clean and lovely and waiting for us......always. Lovely hosts who are very helpful and welcoming but disappear immediately and respect our privacey. Very organised and well thought out kitchen supplies and bedding, fresh towels offered. Beautiful nature inspired retreat. Gorgeous covered wooden deck to relax under and plenty of grassy space to wander through at your liesure. Produce shack at the entrance to the property (during summer into fall) offering farm fresh eggs, plums, blueberries and other garden delights. Guaranteed peace at a reasonable price.
Great people, very welcoming and helpfull. However VRBO's advertising was completely misleading, I expected to pay $110. per night as advertised on the website and was charged a total of $700,
I will never use VRBO again, nor will I recommend it to anyone, and will warn others about this situation,
A lovely family owns this small farm and recreation trailer. The property has dwarf goats and an orchard. Come at the right time of year and you can pick apples!
The trailer is older but very clean; we loved the veranda and outdoor area with lights and a lantern. If you are looking for an alternative to being cooped up in a hotel room, this is a good option. It would be fantastic for children as they can run around the property.
The only down side is the three dogs that are very vocal and up against the fence when you come in. They made me a bit nervous - I found myself checking to make sure the wire fence looked study enough to hold them - and I'm a dog lover.
Loved the Old McDonald's farm vibe. Goats! Chickens! Ducks! Orchards! Lee was so welcoming and easy going. We stayed in the RV, which was roomy for the two of us and well-appointed, incl outlets near the bed for overnight charging. Chose the bunk bed cubby over the Queen size bed and slept like a baby.
Unfortunately we didn't know we were going to stay in the RV, which is uninsulated, so weren't quite dressed warm enough. Also, communicating before arrival was difficult; we didn't know that communication was going to be through VRBO, and when we found out, we had a hard time figuring out how we were going to access the property. We did find out but the lead up to it was stressful. The noise from the nearby highway was quite noticeable.
Little outdated but very spacious and clean trailer
beautiful setting, beautiful porch, cute animals on the farm.
The owner very pleasant and helpful
Stayed only one night, loved the place
