Plenty of space for our extended family and interesting historic house. Host was very responsive when we had a request. We enjoyed using the facilities at the KOA.
We have stayed in a lot of rentals, but this was by far the best-equipped kitchen we have ever seen. Full sets of pots, pans, casserole dishes plus food storage containers and mixing bowls. We were able to do all of our cooking for the family very easily. The rooms were very comfortable for everyone. The bathrooms were clean and had lots of towels for everyone. Access to the amenities at the KOA were wonderful. It was a big pool and lots of space for us to hang out. Adults and kids alike had fun on the jumpy pillow at the park. We also appreciated the pancake breakfasts on weekend mornings. What a great location overall.
Good refrigerator, good bedrooms, poor internet connection, poor lighting in dining room, great decks, great yard, fenced in backyard for dog, big kitchen, dryer didnât dry clothes, bathrooms good. We had a great time!! Would stay again.
I specifically searched for a house with a pool table, and it was falsely advertised as having a Pool table in the description n in the pictures. 2 of my guest bought their personal pool sticks with them. So disappointing and so unprofessional!!
Very unique property, quiet with perfect amenities for a weekend of hiking and rafting. We had everything we needed and really enjoyed the fire pit. The host was very responsive, but we had everything we could possibly need!
We enjoyed our stay at the Booth House. We came for the proximity to our Uncles home in Shepherdstown but especially loved the large table where we could get 15 people for a big birthday dinner, the great backyard for can jam, the fire pit for sâmores, the hot tub that is so well maintained and so much more.
We had a family get together with 10 adults and 2 children. The kitchen was well stocked with cook wear which made cooking for the weekend convenient. The hot tub was lovely and so was the fire pit. Bedrooms and bathrooms were well equipped. Since our get together was a post Christmas party in early January, we appreciated that the Christmas tree was still up. One of the bedrooms on the second floor had no door, so that should be noted.
This location far surpassed all of our expectations! The photos didnât do it justice on many levels and there were many perks that werenât even in the listing. The backyard was fully fenced-in, there was a hot tub, and even a fire pit. The bedrooms were spacious and everything looked like a hotel, from the bedding to the towels. The kitchen was spacious and made preparing big meals easy. Only minor inconvenience was the house WiFi didnât extend to the bedroom area but that was MINOR. Definitely recommend and would go back.
This house easily held 12 of us for the Thanksgiving holiday. So much to do in the area and access to the KOA campground amenities is an added bonus. Anything you may need while there, plenty of shopping locations within a short drive, as well as, plenty of options for eating out. If you choose to eat in, as we did a couple of nights, the table is more than enough to handle such a large group. The fenced in backyard was great for the kids to play and the dog to run around. We ran into a slight problem with the washing machine, but management was easy to communicate with and come up with solutions quickly. We will definitely be back!
Great house for our family of 12 + our dog. Plenty of room for all. Kids loved the hot tub! Fenced in back yard was good to keep both the kids and dog near the house. House provided towels, linens and supplies. House floorplan has 4 bedrooms down stairs, 2 bedrooms upstairs and all bathrooms are on the first floor.
Access to the campground provided plenty of activities for the kids. We used the pool, bounce pillow and playground. We enjoyed sand art, bead jewelry making and stuff an animal. We would definitely recommend this house and Harper's Ferry!
Nothing fancy, but just what we needed for our group of 9. Only things I would quibble with were (1) we had some problems with ants in the kitchen, but they were pretty quick to get out and take care of the problem, (2) there are some pretty low ceilings if any of your travelers are rather tall (over 6'), and (3) the WiFi was rather unreliable, but we didn't really need to use it much. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay. Jessica was helpful and check-in was super easy with the door code.
