Cumberland House In Katoomba

Enjoy a luxurious stay at Cumberland House, a beautifully furnished three-bedroom, two-bathroom home located just 2 minutes from Katoomba town centre. Set on a large landscaped garden, this spacious retreat comfortably accommodates up to 8 guests. The home is flooded with natural light and features central heating and reverse cycle air conditioning to keep you comfortable all year round. The open-plan living area includes two separate lounge spaces and a large dining table that seats 8, perfect for family meals or gatherings.

Outside, multiple outdoor seating areas and a covered balcony invite you to relax and enjoy the fresh mountain air. The fully equipped kitchen features modern appliances including a Nespresso pod machine, cooktop, oven, dishwasher, and basic pantry items. For entertainment, the lounge/dining room offers a 55-inch Smart TV with Foxtel and streaming apps such as Netflix and Prime.

The master bedroom includes a king bed, ensuite with a walk-in shower, walk-in wardrobe, and TV. Bedrooms two and three offer a queen bed and a double bed with a bunk (2 singles) respectively. The main bathroom features a shower, bath, and toilet.

Located near iconic attractions such as Scenic World, the Three Sisters, Jenolan Caves, and Leura Village, Cumberland House is your perfect base to explore the Blue Mountains.

Beautiful house in a lovely quiet setting just a stone's throw from Leura and all it has to offer. Fantastic gardens and outdoor places to sit and take in the mountain air. Can highly recommend.

Lovely house in a great location

Perfect for a family weekend away. Only wish was for the garden to be fully enclosed so the dog could enjoy the holiday as much as us. Would recommend still - very comfortable and well appointed

Place for a great retreat at Blue Mountains area, a hidden treasure

Spacious house for six of us and 2 dogs. Huge yard for the dogs to run around and explore.Walkable distance to Katoomba Street where the shops and restaurants are. Close to proximity to Echo Point, hiking and sight-seeing lookouts.Great customer service too.A miss cannot miss if you are staying at Blue Mountain area.

Felt like home.

The property was in such a convenient location. There was more than enough space for all of us (even our dog who loved the front yard!). It was very easy for us the check-in and navigate ourselves with all the amenities we needed. Will definitely stay again 👍

Perfect location and beautiful grounds

Sheralyn (property manager) was an absolute star with communication and going above and beyond when listing items were not available as advertised. She did her best with what she had and although we didn't get what we required for our first night of stay, she did everything possible to make sure we were taken care of. If it wasn't for her work, outsourcing and even giving us her personal items, I would have given this listing a lower score for the fact that listed items were not provided. Landscaping of the property was outstanding with many outdoor spaces to utilise. Beautiful light filled open plan living, kitchen and dining area. Dishwasher was smelly and could have done with a clean, and fan and heat light in ensuite bathroom wasn't working. Otherwise, a perfect location with nearby walks and lookouts and minutes drive away from Leura village and Katoomba town.

Disappointing

We arrived on the 23rd December and departed on the 27th December. On arrival lawns, hedging and flowerbeds totally overgrown with plants growing up through the decking under the dining table,I was later told by the property manager the gardens are done twice a year. There were dirty very greasy baking pans in the kitchen drawers, cobwebs on the inside of the dirty windows and under the couches was very dusty with some dead small creatures. I was told that if I had reported this on arrival they would have sorted it all out even though it was Christmas Eve. I did ring them on Christmas Eve as we were unable to get the television to work and was told they would get someone out in 48 hours, as we did not want to spend our short stay waiting in we told them not to bother as we would use our laptop. The other things were not noticed immediately. I did speak to the property manager who said he would send me an email but he never did. I paid over $700 per night and expected the property to be as described online, it most certainly wasn’t. I now expect to be told it was all my fault as I didn’t fully inspect the property on arrival whereas I thought it was their job to inspect it BEFORE my arrival.
