Stylish Peachy dream beach cottage Indented Head - 10 mins walk from beach
Live out long, relaxing summer days in this calm, comfortable and stylish home in a quiet neighbourhood, Indented Head. Only a 700m walk (2 min drive) to a family friendly beach (Half Moon Bay), where you can explore a sunken shipwreck, hire paddle boards, boats and kayaks or go for a swim in pristine waters - Bellarine's best kept secret.
- Ample parking for a boat/jet ski & 4 min drive to boat ramp
- 6km to Portarlington (& the docklands ferry)
- Short drive to Bellarine Food Trail (wineries and distilleries)
- perfect base for Celtic festival in June and Mussel Festival in January.
The home
A classic 50s beach cottage, that has been recently renovated and given a stylish makeover, with comfort in mind.
The home includes three generous sided bedrooms, two with built-in-robes and ample hanging space and the third bedroom with an ensuite. Desk available in first bedroom should you need to work during your stay.
Enter the home through the lounge and kitchen area, which has a big comfortable couch, tv, AmazonFireTV and sound system, books, chess, split system heating and cooling and a wood fire heater. Streaming services also available and binge watching encouraged.
As budding cooks, we've made sure the kitchen is well stocked with all the necessities for cooking up a great meal, including pots and pans, baking dishes, crockery, utensils, cutlery, glassware, toaster, kettle, coffee machine with coffee, tea, milk, sugar, oil, salt, pepper and spices provided.
The dinning room includes a large table to seat 8 (set for 6 with extra chairs in the bedrooms) and a cabinet with several board games for rainy days or long nights bonding (or falling out) over who secured Mayfair. Within this space is a European laundry complete with washing machine, sink and bench - washing powder, washing baskets, pegs, clotheslines (outdoor and indoors) provided. We also like to use this area as a bar, because that's way more fun than doing laundry.
The spacious backyard has an outdoor dinning area with chairs and tables, a market umbrella for shade, a BBQ, a fire pit (wood can be purchase from petrol stations) and a sun lounge and hammocks on the lawn.
Start your day slow with a coffee on the front porch in one of the Muskoka chairs and really contemplate that sea change.
We're sure you'll love your stay in our home as much as we do.
Indented Head
Indented Head is a quiet, sleepy bayside town squeezed in between popular tourist destinations Portarlington (6kms away) and St Leonards (3kms away) and close enough to benefit from great cafes, a food truck park, pubs, galleries, a golf club, vintage shops, wineries, distilleries and a blueberry farm. And of course you can't forget Portarlington Mussels, which are celebrated in a big festival every January and the infamous donut van that resurfaces each year in holiday periods to appease loyal fans.
This area has so much to offer if you are the exploring type and if not, the house is set for comfort and lazy days and nights with a wine in hand and a good book.
You'll have private use of the whole house and yard, during your stay. Please note the is no fence between the front and backyard and therefore this home is not suitable for pets.
The garage is not offered as part of your stay.
