Jimmy, I must admit that I was quite surprised by your two-star rating. Our home is thoroughly cleaned and carefully prepared before every guest arrival, and your stay was no exception. When you mentioned seeing a couple of very small insects in the kitchen, you yourself indicated that it was not a major issue. Nevertheless, I immediately arranged professional pest control and asked when it would be convenient for them to attend. You preferred that they not come on Saturday and instead attend after your checkout on Sunday, which they duly did. I also personally brought you insect spray in the meantime. While even the best-maintained private home cannot guarantee that a tiny insect will never find its way inside, I am not quite sure what more we could reasonably have done as hosts. Given the cleanliness of the home, our immediate response and the fact that professional treatment was arranged exactly around your preference, I find a two-star rating for the entire stay remarkably disproportionate. I think the full context speaks for itself.

Joy, your review unfortunately leaves out some important context. When the unexpected AC leak was reported, I attended to it immediately, following the instructions provided by the building management. The leak was successfully repaired within a few hours, as your review itself acknowledges. Despite the issue having been resolved, a member of your party continued insisting that I go to Home Depot, purchase materials and carry out structural alterations to the ceiling. I explained that I was not prepared to make unnecessary structural changes to the property - which itself is relatively new - when the source of the leak had already been identified and rectified in accordance with the building management’s instructions. Unfortunately, he then became extremely aggressive and verbally abusive towards us, including making racist remarks. His conduct became sufficiently serious that Vrbo subsequently intervened, contacted your party and sought to have you leave the property promptly. Unexpected maintenance issues can occasionally arise in any home. In this case, we responded immediately and resolved the problem within hours. What was deeply disappointing was that our efforts to help were met with such aggressive and unacceptable behaviour. We will always do our utmost to look after our guests, but no maintenance issue — particularly one that has already been promptly resolved — justifies abusive or racist treatment of a host.
