Cool house, great location.

Great place to stay close to good restaurants, the Moda center, and down town. Lots of room for gestures to spread out and visit. Judy was very ready to work with and had many, great suggestions for the area.

Fantastic Historic Gem

We rented this place to meet 4 friends from out of town and it was great. There was plenty of room for three couples. The antique decor fit the house and added a lot of charge. The location was convenient to a lot of dining and entertainment and street parking was never a problem. The site manager was staying on property so communication was easy. We would highly recommend.

Lovely for large groups

This was a spacious welcoming home in a neighborhoods that is both residential on one side and commercial/restaurants etc to the other. We had a large group of family for a graduation and it was perfect. Everyone had their own rooms. It was nice to have a kitchen space which we used often. It was a challenge to figure out where things were and not very clean. Overall, the host was lovely, the house was spacious and our trip was great.

Beautiful home

Overall our stay was wonderful. The house comes with some quirks - for example, we discovered that some of the doors, including a bathroom and bedroom door, don’t lock properly. But the owner, who has an apartment below, was very helpful. The house is exactly as pictured. A very beautiful Victorian home that is elegant and unique. There is also a separate Mother in Law unit in the backyard.

Charming on line photos not so great in reality

Easy access once we realized there were two lock boxes. Not nearly as bright and sunny as the web photos suggested. All the rooms save one bedroom were quite small, dark with difficult access to windows that were hard to open. Windows did not all have screens. The kitchen cabinets are jam packed and poorly stocked. We finally found reasonable sized mugs in the dinning room. The beds were well made and comfortable. Easy walking around a quiet neighborhood and surrounding commercial street.

Hi Deane, we always appreciate hearing from our guests, but the homeowner would like to take a moment to clarify a few things raised in your review: - Out of the 22 windows in the house, only one upstairs window lacks a screen. Given the soaring temperatures, it is ideal to keep all windows closed to prevent the A/C from running continuously. - As a Victorian home with traditional wallpaper and darker colors, the home may not be as light and bright in the summer, which adds to its historic charm. - The kitchen cabinets are fully stocked. We're glad you found the mugs in the dining room.We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests

Family Celebration

We booked this house to accommodate our party of 4 couple/8 adults coming to Portland for a college graduation of our son, and to see the city. Our options were limited but we were happy to find a 4 bedroom, 2 and half bath house! The listing showed that it was historical and the decor was antique. However, the rooms were small and cluttered and had a musty odor. We opened windows to help air it out. The kitchen cupboards were packed with items and we had no space to put our groceries. The coffee cups were tiny teacups so we purchased disposable coffee cups. The bedrooms did not provide any space for us to unpack our suitcases and hang our items. The bathroom on the main level only had a tub, no shower. So the 8 of us had to share the one shower which was a challenge! The beds were comfy and the front porch provided a nice space for us to gather and enjoy ourselves. Parking in the street was an issue at times.

Your house is very beautiful, and really enjoyed the cozy accommodations! I do want to mention the only issue we had. Three guests slipped and fell down the front stairs outside. The first person that fell was carrying her suitcase up when we first got there, and wasn't able to do all the activities we has planned for the trip due to her injuries. We warned everyone else who was coming to be careful, and we fully understand that rainy and wet conditions are to be expected inPortland. But, as out of town visitors, we would have appreciated a sign or something to prevent slipping on wet stairs.
