Our stunning, brand new contemporary four bedroomed house enables you to relax as soon as you walk in the door.
Located in elegant Pinot Grove, Martinborough, our property which sleeps up to ten people comfortably is a summertime treat! You will have use of both the on-property 2.5 x 4m supersized spa and the communal heated swimming pool (open from October to April), tennis court and trampoline. We have pool toys, beach towels, two tennis racquets and tennis balls for your use.
The space
Designed by the owner you’ll walk straight into a large truss roofed open planned lounge, kitchen and dining - equipped with brand new furniture, a large smart TV, desk with ethernet and WIFI so you can easily take the family on a break and work from home. Take a break from screen time with the in-house board-game and book selection – enjoy your holiday your way.

We’ve thought about the little things that will make your stay more comfortable. The house has a heat pump which can switch down to 16 degrees making it cool in summer and cosy warm in winter. All bedrooms have TV’s with streaming services as well as double blackout blinds. If you should book, remember your streaming service logons, although there is a free Netflix Red Door account.
Three bedrooms have ceiling fans with others that can be placed as you like. Families with little ones will appreciate the travel cot and highchair available onsite.
The house has two bathrooms – both with infinity hot water – one is the master ensuite, the other has a standalone bath. Lovely soft towels are included – no need to bring any from home.
The kitchen is ultra-modern with all the expected appliances, including a nespresso and foamer for coffee lovers. The fridge has instant cold drinking water, and both the oven and dishwasher are new. Basically, nothing less than you would expect from a full kitchen including plenty of serving platters and plates / cups for outdoors.
There is a separate laundry with a new washing machine and a couple of racks for drying. The driveway fits three cars easily.
The 70 square meter fully-fenced patio is a sun trap – perfect for lounging with a G&T, BBQ, eating al fresco on our large outside table, taking a dip in the pool or snoozing under the umbrella on the recliners.

The location
The Red Door Villa is located just over 1km from the Martinborough Square. Allow 15 minutes to walk, 5 minutes on a bike or a couple of minutes in the car.
In Martinborough, you will find shops, a boutique movie theatre, a decent supermarket and many cafes and restaurants. Hire a bike, or visit one of the many wineries within 5 minutes drive.
Itchy feet? Travel a little further to enjoy some of the highlights of the Wairarapa, like Featherston for the bookstores (15 minutes), Greytown for a lovely lunch (20 minutes), Carterton for some second hand shopping (30 minutes), The Pinnacles (40 min), and Cape Palliser Lighthouse (1 hour).
Or go all out to amazing Castlepoint (1 ½ hours) or Riversdale Beach (1 ½ hours).
Other things to note
Looking after you at the Red Door is amazing superhost Jackie, who is available if you need anything at all during your stay. People have loved the Red Door since we opened a year ago with lots of return customers. We do book out in advance, especially over the weekends.
Ask Jackie about our mid-week specials (staying Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday nights). There are some conditions to the discounted rate - black out on this special is public holidays, School Holidays and the period 20 December to 31 January. We do have a minimum stay of two nights, and over some periods, this does extend to three.
