à propos de cet hébergement
The Wine Shed, Martinborough
Welcome to our haven. Just five minutes walk from the cafes and restaurants in Martinboroughâs Memorial Square but surrounded by vines, this is a quintessential Martinborough retreat.
Our home is a recently renovated, converted wine shed that has been tastefully decorated and beautifully furnished. Outside is a working vineyard, first planted in the late 1980s and still producing top-class Cabernet.
Note: We can add two extra roll-away beds to sleep a total of 8 people (extra cost of $65).
Bike to the wineries on our vintage-style bikes or wander into town for superb coffee, restaurants, and local shops. Relax, indulge, enjoy.
The living, dining and kitchen area is huge: itâs perfect for bringing the family together for a meal; or curling up in front of the wood burner with a glass of wine.
Two generous double bedrooms (one en-suite) are furnished with comfortable Queen sized Ecosa mattresses and 300 thread count sheets. A mezzanine level with sofabed provides a flexible space, usable as a kidzone and second TV area, or for a third Queen sized bed.
Outside, sit and have your coffee on the terrace in the morning sun, fire up the Weber barbecue for an alfresco meal, or have sundowners in the vines as the sun sets.
The Wine Shed is bliss. Take a weekend. Or a whole week. You wonât regret it.
The property is a working vineyard. From time to time there may be a tractor and/or workers in the vines.
You'll have access to the entire house and property
Please call us between 9am and 5pm, 7 days a week during your stay if you have any questions. OR after hours only in an emergency.
Martinborough needs no introduction. Colonial charm meets hipster cafes meets top class restaurants and some of the best wines in the world. Fancy a pinot noir? Ata Rangi is nearby. Prefer a natural wine? Just cross the road to let Lance Redgwell pour you some of New Zealandâs best at Cambridge Road. Then have dinner at one of the many fabulous restaurants on offer less than 5 minutes walk away.
If you fancy a drive, go south to the coast: go fishing or walking where Lake Ferry meets the sea, or visit the gorgeous village of Ngawi. Drive north, go shopping in Greytown, swimming in the Ruamahanga, take in some art at Aratoi in Masterton or try your hand at mini-golf.
There is a bus stop just 700m away on Kitchener St, whihc will take you to meet the train in Featherston. From here you can head North and explore more of the Wairarapa, or head on in to the bustling capital city of Wellington.
Bike Hire:
