A gorgeous private oasis tucked away in Grey Street, a short walk to central Martinborough. This lovely 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom house along with an adjacent one bedroom cottage with seperate lounge which can act as a 4th bedroom has everything you would need for an amazing stay. A glass fenced pool which is heated to 26 deg in summer (Labour weekend - Easter) and a large games room with a table tennis table and a large TV provides great entertainment for all ages. Gas Hotwater means no one gets a cold shower.
This is a great place to stay, very much has a resort feel to it with everything you could need for a family or group stay; pool, games room, sleepout, and all within a lovely landscaped, quiet setting just a short walk to the village. Simple, effective comms and arrival details. Highly recommended.
The property is everything the listing says. Great for families and the pool is a big bonus! There werenât enough towels so maybe take some if youre going to swim . Jackie the property Manager is amazing and very good at communicating
We may have had our best holiday ever in this beautiful home. And we've had some pretty good holidays in some beautiful places. But this was absolute medicine. Peaceful, quiet, sunny and it felt welcoming in every way. Being able to take our fur children was the big bonus and it was so lovely to see them stretching out on the lawn in the sunshine while we sat on the deck and switched our brains off. Everything was clean and the layout of the property and garden meant it felt like there was plenty of space. The kitchen is well appointed and the service from the property manager was outstanding. If I don't find some negatives, this will sound like a fake review so... we could have used a few more coathangers and some more towels please. But honestly, I'm already planning our next visit.
Our stay at Getaway on Grey was absolutely brilliant. With 6 adults, two teenagers and a dog we all fitted in very well. The only problem was the weather (something the facility can do nothing about!!) Over 5 days we managed 2 days lounging by the pool with the other 3 dodging showers and going into town or round a few wineries. We used the woodburner on 2 occasions and the barbeque every night. The facilities were great including a games room with a table tennis table and dart board. The games room also acted as the bedroom for the teenagers - there were plenty of mattresses and bedding available. We will be putting this property in our diary for sometime next year.
