Major fun and relaxation on Miner Lake! Enjoy your private beach in a cozy cottage with a touch of modern. Spend your days on the water, swimming, paddling around in the 2 kayaks, and fishing from the dock. Spend your evenings grilling up your catch, playing corn hole in the large backyard, and roasting marshmallows around the fire pit. The newly renovated cottage is perfect for families or couples: complete with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and a futon.

The Space:

Picturesque all-sports Miner Lake offers great swimming, fishing and boating. A hub for exploring the area, the house is located about 30 minutes from Kalamazoo, Holland, the Saugatuck "Art Coast", downtown Grand Rapids, and Lake Michigan beaches.



Outdoor Area

The home is in a quiet, residential neighborhood. The enormous deck gives way to views of the lake, with an outdoor dining area and large lounge seating area. Down a set of stairs, the large backyard leads you straight to the waterfront and private beach. There's a small sandy area for kids to play and the water is shallow enough to walk right in. You'll have full access to the dock (no motorized boats please), a swimming platform, fire pit, corn hole, a charcoal Weber grill, lifejackets and 2 kayaks with oars.



Inside the House

The house was renovated in 2022. It's cozy and simple, while offering everything you need for your stay. There are 2 living rooms - upstairs and downstairs. The upstairs living room has a dedicated work space (and WiFi of course) in case you need to work during your stay with a beautiful, tranquil view of the lake. This home does not have TV's so enjoy a board game, or friendly conversation with family and friends around the 6-person dining room table. The fully updated, modern bathroom has a walk in shower (no bathtub), lovely Turkish towels and toiletries. There are two bedrooms, each has a Queen size bed, reading lamps, ceiling fan, and closet space to unpack. A futon in the downstairs living room sleeps up to 2 additional people.



We like to cook, so the original open-plan kitchen has all the basics to make a tasty meal and a dishwasher for easy clean up. An Oxo 8-cup coffee machine and French press will help you start your morning. Please note there is no microwave. In the lower level, if you need to do laundry during your stay, there is an LG washer and dryer.



Parking

The house has a garage for 2 vehicles plus driveway parking.

This step is required to ensure a smooth and seamless arrival. It only takes a minute and includes: – Full name – Email address – Phone number – A quick upload of a valid government-issued ID (passport or driver’s license) Your information is kept private and secure, and it helps us prepare everything for your stay.

Other Things to Note:

The house does not have a television, but it does have WiFi throughout if you want to stream something on your device. But why not have some traditional cottage fun? Check out the game drawer with Yahtzee, Jenga, Uno, Phase 10, puzzles and card games! Or gather around the fire pit for conversation and story telling. Please note: the dock and swim raft are seasonal and available from sometime in April and pulled out and stored for winter sometime in September.



The home is on a septic system so please flush only septic safe toilet paper (provided), and place nothing down the kitchen sink drain. The home is also on a well, so depending on your preferences you may want to bring your own drinking water.



During the colder months, the house is heated by electric baseboard heaters.



All reservations are covered by an insurance program. The cost of this protection has been included in your rental rate and fees and covers you for accidental damages during your stay.
