There is one small step down from the primary living space (living room/ bedroom) leading towards the kitchen area.

Potential for noise
The guest suite is attached to our home, below another Airbnb guest suite. Close to downtown, so city noises are expected. The heat pump located below the window may produce noise. We live in the house with two school-aged kids, we aren't overly loud-but we do live here.

Some spaces are shared
The backyard is a grass space shared with us. You'll have a private patio to lounge in. Our school-aged kids may be on the trampoline or playing in the yard. Please clean up after your pet.

Enjoyable

We enjoyed the spacious accommodations . The kurig coffee maker was a plus. The king size bed was very comfortable. We would have loved a tv that carried local news. The location was certainly ok.

Visiting my son and his wife. Very close to were he lived so that was a bonus. Owners were on the property. Very nice and friendly. If we needed anything they were very accommodating.

A picture is worth less than 1000 words

Although the unit was very clean and the bed was excellent, the photos of the unit did not actually portray reality. The home had very poor curb appeal; the unit was heated with two space heaters; the shower was tiny and dark; the patio was dark, unclean facing an untidy back yard; the only option for tv viewing was streaming and that was using previous profiles, two of whom were children. And to top it off, there were no wine glasses to use in the unit. We were looking forward to a unit where we could relax, have a glass of wine and unwind, perhaps on a nice patio, after a busy day. The owners were very clear about parking, stressing that it was essential to park according to their directions but this was impossible as there were multiple vehicles parking almost everywhere/anywhere. To say the least we were not impressed. We had paid for 5 nights but left after 4 nights - the guest in the unit above us woke us up at 6:00 am - not what you expect on holiday.

Parksville BC highlights

We enjoy natural surroundings. We were in Parksville BC for a short stay at the end of a trip. We were able to do some hiking at Englishman River and it was lovely. We were able to visit both the lower and upper river falls and both had their own beauty. We also visited Milner Gardens South of Qualicum Beach - again a lovely visit and enjoyed afternoon tea. would love to be able to sample more food choices. Would prefer it if Parksville didn't allow chain restaurants - we like the unique local fare. We ate at a wonderful local restaurant in Port Bernie on our way to Parksville - love those small restaurants. The place in Parksville was a great size - spacious, a private outdoor patio, good sized kitchen,nice sitting area, clean and close to downtown Parksville. A very enjoyable stay.

Beautiful suite, close to beach!

This property is EXACTLY as pictured. It is beautifully decorated and boasts conveniences like a full kitchen, washer, dryer, two comfortable beds and a charming outdoor patio. We had three of us plus a small dog and were very comfortable. They are also pet friendly, which is really important to us. It's very close to downtown Parksville, walking distance to restaurants, pubs, shops and world famous Parksville Beach. I would absolutely stay here again!
