Quiet, peaceful and great location

It was a quiet, peaceful and super relaxing stay. The house was super clean and spacious and the amenities were great! I'm sure the lake may get busier in the summer but our time there in mid June was perfect for a quieter stay.

We loved our stay here. The water was great the house was beautiful and even had a highchair available for my one year old. There were 6 of us and we had plenty of room.

My family travel to the area for my daughter's graduation from RIT. The house was a perfect backdrop for our celebration. The house was roomy and we'll equipped, it was great to have 4 generations under one roof. I would definitely recommend this house to others!

AMAZING STAY

We had an amazing stay. The property manager communicated very clearly and consistently. She was extremely responsive, professional, and kind in all communications. The home was perfect for our two families. It was so clean, very spacious, and had all the amenities that made our stay comfortable and fun. I highly recommend the property. THANK YOU very much.

Early Season Stay

This is a lovely house which actually is better in person than it appears in the photos. The house is perfectly situated right on the lake with incredible sunset views. It is immaculate and modern with very comfortable beds. Adding to the allure was the easy lines of communication with the host and helpful suggestions and directions. Fantastic all around

Wedding Weekend

The house was absolutely gorgeous even better than the pictures. It was so spacious and the rooms very large. The kitchen was amazing as well. Our property manager went above and beyond anything we expected she even suggested places around town to go. Her knowledge of the area was top notch it was nice having someone so enthralled in the history of not only the house but the town. I would definitely work with her again in the future.

Very Nice!

Very nice lake front home. Property was just as described in the listing. Plenty of space upstairs and downstairs. Very clean. Everything worked great. Had all the essentials needed and a few little extras. Property manager communicated very well. Great for large groups or a large family. Would definitely stay there again.

Nice girls trip

The property was great for our girls trip. It would also be good for a family. Although the “grounds” could have been a little more well maintained especially knowing there is an HOA. Long grass, lots of weeds, lots of algae (not owners fault, just a comment). House had everythung we could need or want plus some. Might be helpful to label cupboards for what is in each. Overall so welcoming, great communication with property manager. We would return in a heart beat and I will share this property with friends or family ever looking to rent.

We definitely enjoyed our stay! We did not run into any difficulties during our stay. The house was well stocked with all of the essentials, including the large, well equipped kitchen. The sunsets were spectacular! The lake was so peaceful and kayaking was a dream because it was so calm!The only drawback was the large amount of seaweed and lake grass that extended from the shore to about 150 feet out into the lake. This made doing anything directly at the house, such as swimming, floating impossible. The odor of the seaweed as it washed up was pungent as well.. We did not let it affect our stay it all and found other places to enjoy the lake. Just something I think someone should be aware of before booking the house in case they had plans of doing a lot of water activities at the house itself.

Thanks so much for your review! We’re glad you enjoyed the peaceful lake, beautiful sunsets, and well-stocked home. There is lake grass and seaweed throughout the lake and it does get cut down once a year by industrial cutters which can temporarily push it toward the shoreline. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. We’re happy you still had a great stay and found other areas to enjoy the lake!

Spacious and right on the lake!

We spent five nights here and had a great time (despite a few days of rain). The host was very responsive and helpful. When we arrived, everything was immaculate and there was a nice welcome basket of snacks and glow sticks. The layout of the house is a bit unusual (4 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and a kitchenette downstairs and 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, kitchen, and living/dining area upstairs), but worked well for our family and extended family. The house is right on the lake, which was great, and the neighbors and other residents of the HOA were very friendly and welcoming (one gave our family an evening boat ride around the lake). Definitely recommended.

Gorgeous home!

This beautiful home was one of the cleanest rental properties I have ever stayed at! The host was very responsive and helpful and there was a binder with a lot of information for us. They even left us a cute welcome basket! All of the bedrooms were absolutely massive with plenty of space for an air mattress if needed. We rented a boat about a half mile away and it was very easily walkable to get there as well as a local brewery.

Family vacation

Our two families that includes four adult children in their twenties, enjoyed our four night stay at Honeoye. Bedrooms and living/dining area are spacious. Kitchen is large and well appointed with everything we needed. There were nice touches like a welcome note, snack basket, creamers and coffee pods. Beds are very comfy. Jumping off the deck was a favourite of our son. We used the two person kayak provided and inflatable boats we brought. We were glad we brought water shoes as the bottom of the lake is rocky then "gooey" with seaweed thrown in for good measure. We enjoyed a campfire in the container provided each evening. Shaena responded promptly when we noted the propane was low in the tank for barbecuing. She was also very apologetic about the lingering cigarette smell in the bedroom off the lower deck, that she had tried hard to eliminate caused by a previous renter. We have vacationed in the Finger Lakes before and would be pleased to return to Honeoye as time and budget allows.

Quiet getaway with good lake access.

The quiet community was a great get away for the week. The deck offered views of the lake and surrounding area. While we were there the willow tree was removed and the deck became quite hot without the shade from the tree. Access to the lake was great for letting the kids play and be near the house. The kitchen was decently equipped but it was difficult to find the needed items with so much space to put things. Some of the amenities could use some updates. The kayak had some broken pieces that made it hard to use. The couch appeared to have been sat on pretty forcefully and had a broken area that was difficult to sit in. Overall a good place to stay and enjoy Honeoye Lake.

Great house on Lake Honeoye!

Newly renovated, clean, and fantastic! Huge bedrooms, kitchen, and living area. Fit 10 people easily. Decent sized backyard for lawn games and fire pit. huge tree in front of house that blocks 75% of lake view from the house's two decks, but heard from a neighbor that it may be coming down this year. Gas grill is great but tank of grill was empty when we go there. Grass was 6-8 inches long on a Saturday when we arrived, and I had to borrow a weed-eater (yes!) from neighbor to cut half the yard or we could play games and light a fire. Agent responded to all texts quickly and apologized and was to come out twice, but the other half still wasn't cut a week later when we left. Agent said cutting grass is HOA's responsibility but regardless, agent should make sure grass is cut weekly whether HOA does it or not, especially at this price point. The dock is a walkway and a small platform, big enough for 2-3 people to fishing/sunbath and a kayak, but no boat. Marine is very close to rent one so no big deal there. Definitely recommend the house, management just needs to cross T's and dot I's a little better.

Spacious waterfront house

We had more than enough room for four families to comfortably stay in this beautiful home. Shaena was great - we were in contact several times throughout our stay. She left several personal touches around the house and even left goodie baskets for the kids. We will be back!

Great Place! Lots of space

This house is great! The beds were comfortable, the rooms were big, and the open concept kitchen/living/dining room was the perfect place to gather! We loved the sunset views from the balcony and enjoyed spending time on the private dock right in the back yard. Our kids loved the playground in the park that is a few minutes’ walk from the house. There are also some great restaurants in the area! We will definitely be staying here again!
