Experience the charm and elegance of a bygone Era with this historical home built in 1909. This local gem is a heritage building and It has a rich local history as the stone hurst building served as a lodge, lawn bowling establishment and later on became Le Mansione restaurant for many years. This property hosted several weddings over the years as well as set the mood for countless marriage proposals when it was a restaurant. Maybe you even know someone who experienced one of these places. We have tried hard to preserve much of its original features in an effort to be able to showcase its rich history. So while you may notice the living room and diningroom are like taking a step back in time to a more simple way of living, we have updated our bathrooms as well as our kitchen where you will find brand new appliances and all very modern for your convenience. Kitchen, dining room, living room are all located on the main floor. A stackable washer and dryer are located in the main bathroom off of the dining room. The second floor has 4 bedrooms 1 bathroom and 2 half bathrooms as well as a covered, screened patio off of the master bedroom. The 3rd floor consists of 2 bedrooms each with a king size bed and one has an extra sleeping space , there is a full bathroom on the 3rd floor as well as a sink and vanity in the hallway to do your makeup or brush your teeth. We were a group of 5 parents and a team of 5 enduro bike riders. (Ages 15-17) it was a perfect place for us all to get a good night sleep. Large dinning room was perfect for us all to eat our meals together. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking. We were in need of a crock pot and Cindy delivered one the next morning. Cindy was great to deal with. We will definitely stay here again when we ride Vedder Mountain again. The laundry facilities were perfect for washing gear between ride days. Awesome enclosed entrance for storing bikes, gear and coolers. Bedding and linens were great. Beds comfy. The age and decor of the house was a great conversation piece for our team. Thanks Cindy! Appreciate you accommodating our group.
The house is completely fenced and gated which made us all feel secure.
Our stay was awesome. The owner was easily available for any questions we had. We were staying in town for a celebration of life and it gave our 3 out of town families with children lots of space and a great living room and dining room to gather in. The bedrooms were huge and the beds very comfortable. The kids thought it was fun to be up in the bedrooms on the top floor. Beautiful bathrooms. Lots of parking behind the house and a gate to the entire property that we could close and lock. Short walk to District 1881 for restaurants and shopping, which was one of the highlights of our visit. I would definitely recommend.
