Charming Town Charming House

My wife and I spent a quiet time together for her birthday. The house was private, clean, and well stocked. The view was amazing! Nothing like having breakfast surrounded by windows and the river. Will definitely rent here again.

Perfect Nehalem River setting

The house on the Nehalem is perfect for those who love to fish. We enjoyed the ease of having our boat right there on the property’s dock. We did have issues with the TV which would not connect to the internet. Also, I made it known that we were in need of propane. We had to move the one full canister to the BBQ then move it back to the fire pit. Then repeat. The office was notified and they responded quickly but no one ever showed up to remedy the situation(s) It was disappointing. The house is clean for the most part but the carpet is in horrible shape. It needs to have a good cleaning. The beds were very comfortable. Road noise was not an issue at all. We had wonderful warm weather and each room had fans for cooling off. Great stay, except for whoever they have contracted for their maintenance. He/they were a no show. Lots of Apologies but no action.

Difficult to find, ridiculous cleaning fee

For whatever reason, apple maps does not route to the address listed on vrbo, and we ended up driving around for a bit trying to find the place. It was very clean and amenities were all labeled. My issue is that there is no mention of a checkout process in the online instructions, and when you arrive there's a laminated sheet detailing all the cleaning you must do before checking out. Laundry, dishwasher, taking the trash out, etc. if I'm being charged a triple digit cleaning fee for ONE NIGHT, I should not be doing all the cleaning for them. Absolutely ridiculous.

Winter Crabbing Expedition

Tides and weather a Real Challenge. The house was ( as before ) a wonderful shelter and cozy getaway Super convenient with all amenities. For us , a little luxurious .Nice to have the Meredith office in Manzanita , if needed. I cannot recommend this spot enough.

CRABBING TRIP

Awesome spot. Clearly the dock is the big plus here. The house is large , clean , well apportioned. Just all around a great place Proximity to Hwy 101 a little noisy ( semis ) in the early morning. Crab cooker / pot available in the shed down on the dock area. ( We filled the propane bottle in town ) Battery charger , and extension cord down on the dock sure came in handy when our boat battery was drained . Really a lovely property....we plan on coming back here.

Great home! Very clean, everything was conveniently labeled, and cute location. As another review mentioned, the code for the outside door wasn’t provided, but the phone number for assistance picked up immediately and provided us with the code. Highly recommend.

Exquisite property with a view to the river

Beautiful property along the Nehalem River. Very spacious and clean, close to beaches, trails and restaurants. I was hesitant when realized how close it was to the 101 but it was not an issue at all. Very satisfied in every way.
