Welcome to the Beacon Quarters Condominiums by KEES Vacations!

Enjoy understated elegance in this luxury condo within the soothing and brand new Beacon Quarters community. The whole group will enjoy not only the community pool, volleyball area and other amenities available in the entertainment complex, but the wonderful tranquility of the nearby, sound-side waterfront. Plus, to top it all off, it's less than a mile away from access to the beautiful Corolla beach!

The open great room is adorned with beautiful decor and artwork. Your condo provides ample living space that features comfy seating and a flat screen HDTV. Plenty of natural light flows in from the windows, creating a light and airy beach-side escape.

An elegant kitchen is just waiting for your culinary touch! This well-equipped cooking area is the perfect place to interact with the chef as he or she makes use of the gorgeous cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, and abundant workspace to create the meal of everyone's fantasies! You can all enjoy that meal together at the adjacent dining table.

The single-level condos at Beacon Quarters offer guests comfortable accommodations for the perfect night's rest. Enjoy staying in the King En Suite. The second spacious bedroom also provides a King bed, with a common full bathroom just down the hall.

Good location

Good location and well-stocked kitchen. Couch had dog hair all over it; Manager offered to come clean but we had settled in so said no. Kitchen is well-stocked for those who want to cook. One little note: would be great to have some salt/pepper. Comfortable spot for a family.

Great family vacation!

This was our family vacation this year and the condo was perfect for us! Kees was great and easy to communicate with. The property was clean and had everything we needed for our stay! We are hoping to rent a beach house next summer through Kees!

Great Spring Break at Mermaid Cove

Great location! The condo and property are new and well-maintained. The property has all the utensils needed and it is beautifully decorated.

Awesome

This was a great place to stay for a trip to Corolla. Very clean, updated, pool was nice, within driving distance to grocery stores, a moderate walk to beach access and plenty of walking routes otherwise. At one point on a Saturday the AC went out and management had someone there and it was fixed within an hour or two. Overall the communication was great and everything was easy to execute.

Very nice stay

The home was clean and Kees was responsive. Only issue with the outdoor BBQ that was so filthy we had to double cover the grill with aluminum foil. It would have been nice to have it cleaner

Perfect for our Trip

My older parents wanted to visit the Outer Banks so we planned three full days of sightseeing. The single floor unit was perfect as it didn’t require them to navigate stairs at all. The two bedroom layout worked out beautifully for 4 adults. Comfortable and clean. The drive to the Corolla area isn’t quick but well worth it to stay in a quieter area. Very close to restaurants and grocery stores.

Cozy

Very nice and clean and quiet and cozy. Convenient. The vent in hall can use a new filter and the air conditioner would probably work better. The shower head has a terrible leak in the shower bathroom it could use a new one. And a rattle in the vent in the same bathroom. Just a little annoying at night trying to sleep. Other than that it was great! We love it.

Great location but lingering issues

Our overall experience staying at Mermaid Cove is mixed. The location is great, community pool is clean, and condo was comfortable. However some linger issues related to previous comments have not been addressed. The grill is heavily rusted and unusable. The condo’s cleanliness was ok on the surface, but don’t look for dust. It is everywhere - under couches, on pictures, on floor boards, and heavily on fans. The check-in process was a nightmare with no welcome email being send until 36 hours after arrival and spending an hour on the phone trying various contact numbers until someone picked up. It’s a nice community, the place is nice, but KEES needs to elevate it’s game to make this a place to return.

Thank you for your review Kip, we will follow up with our housekeeping team about doing a deep clean of the property before the next guest are set to arrive, as far as check in this is because you didn't sign your rental agreement when it was first sent when you booked , we had to send a message the day of check in to ask you to sign that for us and then once signed we would provide the check in information, which we did provide for you to access the unit with the door code. We are in our busy season so this is why we like to communicate via text, and email for faster responses, the phones will usually have a long wait time due to the time of year, we do apologize about any inconvenience this may have caused you, and we do hope to host you in the future so that we can provide you a better experience.

Love the OBX

We love the Outer Banks and the area. Beacons Quarters is a great location. However ... The primary issue is a lack of cleanliness, lack of attention to routine upkeep and worn and uncomfortable beds/couch. There were no matteress pads and the mattresses are completely worn. We went to target and purchased a pad. Given our experience, it is unlikely the unit has been significantly cleaned since August 2023. My concern is for the health and safety of future guests. I am sure you would agree that the safety and health of your guests is paramount. COVID – 19 viral RNA can be detected in dust particles up to four weeks, despite application of disinfectant. This presumes a significant deep clean. Here (Mermaid Cove at Beacon Quarters in Corolla), there is no evidence of any significant cleaning. Stay at Beacons Quarters, check the other reviews about lack of cleanliness.

Your concerns are very important to us here at KEES Vacations. Just to make you aware, the property Mermaid Cove certainly has been cleaned after August of 2023. Here at KEES Vacations we do take the COVID-19 procedures very serious. Prior to guest arrival inspection reports are submitted showing that our properties have been cleaned & inspected properly. Unfortunately, the concerns you provided us are not shown on the inspection report. Housekeeping was offered to come out to resolve your concerns, but unfortunately, this request has been declined. Once again, we do apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced during your stay. Here at KEES Vacations, we will continue to make sure that the proper procedures are being done with all departments.
