The view can’t be beat. The pool was crystal clear and very nice. The pool table was fun and the hot tub was large and inviting. The fireplace is wonderful. The property is very rustic and in need of updating. It also is in need of a deep professional cleaning. There isn’t a separate control in the unit for heating and cooling and we found the air conditioning to be excessively cold. The owner, Alan, did everything he could, including bringing us a space heater, so we could be comfortable for our second night. More information about parking and accessing the property should be provided. There is a grassy slope leading to a few rock steps and a small patio without any railings or handholds. So, anyone with mobility issues will be challenged.The unit is the lower level of the owner’s home and there isn’t complete noise control between the floors, although the owners do their best to keep things pleasant.

The place was immaculate. Freshly cut flowers and chocolates were there for us. The views were pretty nice of the valley. Hot tub was a big hit!!!! Will be looking to book in the near future

Let's start with the pros: Beautiful scenery, nice and quiet, perfect way to unplug from the stresses of everyday life. The property owner was super nice, met us at check-in, thoroughly explained how everything works, and was there if you had any issues. You are pretty much 20 or so minutes from a lot of different things, so the location was good. Cons: Unfortunately, sometimes pictures don't tell you the whole story. Immediately walking into the space, the musty smell just overtakes you. Not sure if it's because of the hot tub, but my wife and I had a hard time staying in there. The closet that's in the space smells even worse, so we didn't even unpack our clothes. Plus, we were worried our clothes would smell. The basement is really nice-looking, but we found cob webs in the shower, around the sink, and the place just needs a really good dusting. Speaking of the shower, it is so small you can barely even wash yourself. The pool was nice; just be ready for all the frogs that are around that area. We didn't go in the water, so I cannot comment on that. 1st night we were there, the smoke alarm went off at 4:30 a.m., so I eventually found it and took it down, only to find out the thing expired in 2021. You would think Evolve would have certain safety parameters. If the musty smell could be eliminated (maybe a humidifier would work) and the place underwent a good dusting, I would consider going back if we were around that area again. However, if not, I just don't understand how anyone could stay in there with that musty smell. *Bring slippers if you do go; walking barefoot wasn't optimal with the humid conditions.

We do want to clarify a few points for future guests. The hot tub is a featured amenity and is drained, thoroughly cleaned, and detailed before every stay. The property is also thoroughly cleaned and dusted before each guest arrives. There were no cobwebs present when we completed the cleaning, so while we're sorry you encountered some during your stay, spiders can unfortunately make their way into a property surrounded by nature at any time. We appreciate you bringing the smoke alarm to my attention, as guest safety is extremely important to me, and we will make sure that is addressed. We always want guests to have a comfortable, clean, and relaxing stay, and we appreciate the feedback that helps us continue improving the property.

Relaxing Getaway

Vrbo is located at a remote area where nature resides and have an amazing view. The host was amazing, showed us what the Vrbo has to offer like a hot tub, pool table and fireplace. There was also an outdoor pool which cooled us off during the summer! Will come back again, no doubt about it!

We went to this property during the winter. The fireplace and hot tub were delightful as was the pool table. Would definitely love to check it out during the warmer months. Lots of great restaurants nearby. Al was a great host

Great getaway

My wife and I stayed here to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and this rental could not have been better suited to that. Even though the owner lives on the same property, we had complete privacy. The views are spectacular - we lived having morning coffee outside our door watching birds and chipmunks playing around us. After that, it was a short drive to many attractions including Foxwoods Resort and Casino. Highly recommend this for a getaway for any couple.

The perfect escape

A beautiful, well maintained home with all the amenities one could need. It is tucked away from the hustle and noise of everyday life. Whether you are looking for a weekend getaway or a vacation, this is the place to be. It is perfect for singles, couples or families. The host is very nice and friendly and maintained the property himself. I will definitely be returning when the weather is warmer so that I can enjoy the pool.

Amazing!

All I can say this is by far the best house we have stayed at. Allan is a super host!! Everything was perfect!! The bed was the best night of sleep I've ever had. Everything was super clean, and I felt right at home as soon as we walked in. The hot tub was sparkling!! Allan made sure we had everything we needed for the best anniversary I've ever had. Absolutely beautiful

The hubby and I share a bday and chose this rental. We had plans to visit local spots but could not part with how breathtaking just spending time here was. We loved how private it was even with the host/owner on site. We met the owner at check in and after a helpful walk through he all but disappeared. It felt very remote and private and exactly what we wanted. The home itself is stunning. The property is well maintained and the views are breathtaking. We left hoping to return very soon. Highly recommend for anyone!! It is exactly as pictured and is truly a piece of perfection. You will not be disappointed to spend a special day weekend or relaxing getaway here.
