Cute cabin.

We stayed here for my daughter's 21st birthday. Check in was simple, the cabin was clean and fully stocked, there was even a cute welcome basket with snacks. It was so quiet and the beds and pillows were so comfortable that we slept very well. With it being 3 ladies staying there we felt completely safe with no worries at all. There were heater/ac units in both bedrooms as well as an ac unit and separate heater unit for the living/ dining/ kitchen area. We did not have enough time to enjoy the backyard area but it looked adorable.The only negative thing I can say was that the hot water for the shower was not exactly "hot". I know that there is a way to turn it up ourselves but I did not feel confidante doing that. I would definitely give this cute cabin a 10 out of 10!

Nice and Quiet

Nice place to stay for a few days. We just needed a bed, a shower and a refrigerator and a much better option than a hotel. This place had that and then some.

Lack of Response

The property was clean & looked just like the pictures. Unfortunately, we had a few small issues that would have been easily resolved but the manager did not respond to any of our correspondence until after check out. Prior to checking in, I sent two chat messages to the property manager in the VRBO - no response. Upon arrival, we entered the property & the smell of air freshener was very overwhelming. The home had 5 plug in air fresheners all on the highest scent level. We moved the air fresheners outside & that solved the problem. The first night was ok except the flange in the toilet was broken causing the toilet to run all night. In addition, the Wi-Fi did not work. The next morning I called the manager and left a message regarding the two issues. I never received a call back. That next night, we turned the water off to the toilet and had to turn it back on and off every time we used it. That evening, while taking a shower, a scorpion bite my uncles foot. I contacted the manager again the next morning and left a second voicemail message. She later return my call and noted the Wi-Fi sometimes has issues (as noted in other VRBO reviews) and the toilet was working fine they day before when she was at the property. She informed me that my voicemail message was not returned because she was at church when I called. I understand all stays are not perfect but I give the 2 star rating due to the lack of response and the lack of accountability for to fix the issues.

I little slice of heaven!

My son and I went for a father son weekend. It was going to be cut short by a day due to me not feeling well but the owner was super nice and extended the stay a day at no charge! The property is nice and clean and the neighborhood is super quiet. We enjoyed cooking out, amazing Star watching, and constant deer watching right in the yard. We are looking forward to returning soon for a longer visit.

Mother/ Daughter Get Away

We really enjoyed the Jefferson Retreat. It was off the beaten path and that is what we were looking for. We loved all the nature around us. We saw deer and a racoon. (That is exciting for us City Folks!) We met the neighbor's dog, Sassy. She is a white Golden Doodle and is precious! We were able to take her on walks with her leash. We enjoyed swimming at Dangerfield State Park. We rented a paddle boat and a canoe. We enjoyed evening swims a little closer to the property (no water rentals there). We enjoyed the shops and restaurants in Jefferson. If you are a coffee drinker, The Hive is a must. The Jefferson Retreat and surrounding area would be stunning when the leaves change colors in the fall.

House on Lake O' the Pines

This house was great. Close to the lake, great parking, and a safe neigborhood. My buddy and I stayed there to fish a tournament on LOP. The house was very clean, comfortable beds, plenty of room, great kitchen. We will stay here any time we fish LOP. Highly reccomend this house. Owners were great, quick to respond to texts, very accomodating.

Sisters Weekend

The house was very clean and decorated so cute . It was perfect for four sisters to spend time together. Nice neighborhood and close enough to drive to Jefferson to shop and eat ! Highly recommend and plan to return.

Cozy home

Home very clean. Cozy yet roomy. Met our needs very well. Quiet neighborhood and good for walking our furry friend (on a leash of course). Short drives to excursions. We would stay here again.

Clean, cozy house in a great location!

My husband and I came to Jefferson for a quick getaway to relax and fish on Lake of the Pines. The house was so clean and cozy. The owners responded quickly when we had questions. They even had snacks and coffee available. We’ll definitely be back!

Nice inside

Although this property was very hard to find and not available through GPS, the property itself was nice and comfortable. It was clean and their kindness in supplying coffee was very thoughtful. Had a bit of trouble with the internet being in and out.

Peaceful Getaway

My family and I enjoyed this cottage for a midweek- weekend stay! Peaceful and quiet neighborhood just what we all needed for a few days! The property manager was very responsive on every attempt of contact and was very nice! The cottage was very clean and exactly what the ad presented and I would highly recommend this unit and will definitely stay again!

super cozy and relaxing

The hosts have gone over an above to make guest feel welcome. There were so many little touches that helped to make our stay extra comfortable. It rained the first few days of our stay, so we were unable to go do some of the planned activities, but we were very cozy just staying in the home. The fenced area for the dogs was perfect also. The neighbors dog roams free, so they came to "visit" a few times, so if you have a reactive pet, you should be aware of that. The only thing that was a little frustrating was the internet signal, it was spotty at best (not that the host can do anything about that) so when streaming movies, there is a bunch of buffering. I did not give any bad ratings for that, since I am sure it is out of their control. Even my phone was only at 2 bars for signal strength. Overall, super convenient to Jefferson for anything we might have needed.

Tournament fishing

Perfect home for us! The owners are extremely helpful and are great host. Very close to the launch with a beautiful yard that is very relaxing after a full day fishing. Safe neighborhood as well with plenty of boat parking!
