Veronica’s Place - Brand new, roomy cottage on the Bras D'Or Lakes

This beautiful cottage has a huge half wrap around deck with a fabulous view of a serene harbour on the Bras D'Or Lakes. A new build, it boasts a south-facing wall of glass overlooking the Bras D'Or. Roomy, with a fully equipped kitchen which is completed with a rock maple topped island. The large bathroom boasts a glass-fronted walk-in shower with a bidet. A Custom-made maple vanity completes the luxury. Separate well-lit bedroom. With this cottage, comes your own lane to the harbour, with a wharf In summer.

Great central location for seeing everything we wanted to see on Cape Breton. The best stocked kitchen of all the places we have stayed. Very clean, beautiful view, quiet and peaceful.

A cozy cottage by the water - very quiet - close to Cabot Trail and Sydney NS - cottage equipped with everything imaginable! Very very clean - it would/could be called a “hidden gem”- comfortable bed and absolutely best bathroom ever! Will definitely stay here again if available!!
Everything you need is in this kitchen!!!
Lots of hot water and the pressure of water is super strong

Veronica's place was extremely clean and well appointed. Very cute little cottage with all of the amenities including beautiful views of the lake. Our host was extremely welcoming and our only wish is that we could have stayed longer!

There's nowhere else I'd rather stay!

The cottage and surrounding area are absolutely beautiful. Aileen maintains a beautiful property, and is nearby to help with any needs. I've stayed in several locations across Cape Breton Island, and this is by far my favourite.

Aileen was a wonderful host and her modern cabin has everything you need for a memorable stay exploring Cape Brenton Island. Pub (Fiddle & Folk), cafe (Darby's) and Co-Op supermarket a short drive away.

Stunning

It is a beautiful place it had everything you could possibly need to have a relaxing stay. The host is friendly and knows alot about the area. Check out Darby kitchen the ladies are so sweet.

Cabot trail tour

Awesome place with great views. Cottage is set up for anyone who may have forgot anything. Well stocked and very clean. We had a great time touring the area and visiting local attractions. Definitely recommend it and will keep it in our list for a return trip down the road.

Cottage with a view

Lovely cottage with an amazing view. The host thought of everything including a well stocked pantry in case you don’t get groceries before you arrive. We really enjoyed our stay here and would certainly recommend it to our family and friends.

The cabin was beautiful with every possible amenity. The owner was available but provided lots of privacy. The local view is beautiful and quiet. The roads to the cabin are a little rough.

Incredible Easter Weekend

Veronica’s Place is even better than advertised! The cottage is gorgeous and has everything you can possibly need. Aileen is a gem. The property is pristine and it’s so peaceful and serene. I plan to go back in the Fall.

A beautiful oasis of calm

A lovely property in a gorgeous location. Very quiet - hardly any traffic noise as it is off the main road. A beautiful oasis of calm. We had a wonderful three nights here as part of a road trip and could happily have stayed much longer. The kitchen was very well stocked. Aileen was welcoming and helpful, we couldn't have asked for anything more.

Beautiful cottage in serene location.

The cottage is absolutely beautiful and very well-equipped, and the property manager is extremely kind and welcoming. A beautiful getaway with a stunning view that is within a short drive of stores/gas/eateries, as well as cultural events in Port Hawkesbury, Judique, Baddeck, and the Gaelic College. Would definitely return!

We had a fantastic week - Aileen was a great host - her thoughtfulness, hospitality and attention to detail were clear from the moment we arrived! The cottage had everything we needed and the view of the lake was beautiful!! The area is great for biking, kayaking, hiking and touring but also a great place to relax - we will definitely be back! Perfect location…beautiful cottage!

My husband and I enjoyed two wonderful weeks at Veronica’s Place. The cottage is beautiful and very well equipped with all the comforts of home. Aileen was so kind to start us off with a bowl of fruit, eggs, milk and many other grocery items on our arrival. She was also very helpful with suggestions of places to visit during our stay. The cottage is centrally located so we were able to easily do day trips. It is such a nice place to come back to and relax at the end of the day. Highly recommend!
