Veronica’s Place - Brand new, roomy cottage on the Bras D'Or Lakes

This beautiful cottage has a huge half wrap around deck with a fabulous view of a serene harbour on the Bras D'Or Lakes. A new build, it boasts a south-facing wall of glass overlooking the Bras D'Or. Roomy, with a fully equipped kitchen which is completed with a rock maple topped island. The large bathroom boasts a glass-fronted walk-in shower with a bidet. A Custom-made maple vanity completes the luxury. Separate well-lit bedroom. With this cottage, comes your own lane to the harbour, with a wharf In summer.

Cottage by Bras D'Or

Aileen was a wonderful host and her modern cabin has everything you need for a memorable stay exploring Cape Brenton Island. Pub (Fiddle & Folk), cafe (Darby's) and Co-Op supermarket a short drive away.

Stunning

It is a beautiful place it had everything you could possibly need to have a relaxing stay. The host is friendly and knows alot about the area. Check out Darby kitchen the ladies are so sweet.

Cottage with a view

Lovely cottage with an amazing view. The host thought of everything including a well stocked pantry in case you don’t get groceries before you arrive. We really enjoyed our stay here and would certainly recommend it to our family and friends.

There's nowhere else I'd rather stay!

The cottage and surrounding area are absolutely beautiful. Aileen maintains a beautiful property, and is nearby to help with any needs. I've stayed in several locations across Cape Breton Island, and this is by far my favourite.

The cabin was beautiful with every possible amenity. The owner was available but provided lots of privacy. The local view is beautiful and quiet. The roads to the cabin are a little rough.

Incredible Easter Weekend

Veronica’s Place is even better than advertised! The cottage is gorgeous and has everything you can possibly need. Aileen is a gem. The property is pristine and it’s so peaceful and serene. I plan to go back in the Fall.

Fantastic Week

We had a fantastic week - Aileen was a great host - her thoughtfulness, hospitality and attention to detail were clear from the moment we arrived! The cottage had everything we needed and the view of the lake was beautiful!! The area is great for biking, kayaking, hiking and touring but also a great place to relax - we will definitely be back! Beautiful cottage overlooking the lake. Fully equipped kitchen, everything clean and comfortable. Kayaks and canoe also available, but bring bug spray. Location is a bit remote, but still accessible to all of Cape Breton.

The location along the Bras d'Or Lakes is amazing. The cottage is adorable and immaculate. Lots of local wildlife; geese, beaver, and King Fishers greeted me on my first night. The owner is lovely, and very accommodating. I can't wait to return. A definite 10 out of 10!!

A beautiful oasis of calm

A lovely property in a gorgeous location. Very quiet - hardly any traffic noise as it is off the main road. A beautiful oasis of calm. We had a wonderful three nights here as part of a road trip and could happily have stayed much longer. The kitchen was very well stocked. Aileen was welcoming and helpful, we couldn't have asked for anything more.

Beautiful cottage in serene location.

The cottage is absolutely beautiful and very well-equipped, and the property manager is extremely kind and welcoming. A beautiful getaway with a stunning view that is within a short drive of stores/gas/eateries, as well as cultural events in Port Hawkesbury, Judique, Baddeck, and the Gaelic College. Would definitely return!

What a view

The view from the house is exceptional. It's a stand-alone house with a front porch overlooking the water. It's away from the hustle and bustle of tourism which brought peace, calm, and tranquility after a day immersed in the sights and sounds of Cape Breton, the Cabot Trail, and the National Park. Our host Aileen was an added bonus. She is a joy to interact with and helped make our stay more pleasant.

A personal touch

Cottage was better than advertised- clean, well equipped and beautifully decorated. It was almost like being at home, except that it was in beautiful Cape Breton. Woke up every morning to a view of the beautiful Bras d’Or. Within reasonable reach of most areas on Cape Breton.

Very relaxing cottage

Excellent rental cottage. Very new, clean and organized. Aileen is a very welcoming host with lots of interesting information about the area. She has equipped the cottage with everything you could possibly need and then some. The view of the lake is beautiful and the stars at night are spectacular. The location is excellent. Very centrally located in Cape Breton with lots of easy day trips for exploring without long drives. Very quiet and very comfortable. We would definitely book this again when returning for a visit.

Wow, stocked like never seen before

While a little further away than originally thought, this precious cottage makes up in charm and comfort. We had noted previous reviews that we ought to do groceries ahead of arrival, so came prepared. However, owner had seen to supply more than i could have imagined. She is such a caring soul... we enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cottage.
