Great guest, looked after our cottage well.

We are sorry about the lawn John. We rely on our cleaner to let us know when to get it mowed since we don't live locally. We will get onto that now and rest assured if you visit again it will be done. It usually is, but must have grown rapidly with all the rain we've had.

Hi Melissa, Thanks for taking the time to leave detailed feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed Brooms Head and the beachside location. We’re sorry you were disappointed on arrival. We use a professional cleaner after each stay and have followed this up, tightening our pre-arrival checks (including crockery, supplies and high-touch surfaces). We also maintain annual pest control and will organise an additional treatment. On pets: we do welcome dogs, with the standard expectation they’re kept off furniture and managed appropriately indoors. There’s ample space for them to rest in the large back room and on the deck. We’d appreciate clarification on where you felt a dog could escape the yard. This is a traditional raised beach cottage and there is accessible space underneath the house, which is typical for this style. Pets won’t get stuck under there, and we recommend supervising dogs in the yard at any unfamiliar property. Re the door being unlocked on arrival: thanks for flagging this. We’d been in shortly beforehand to allow the air-conditioning technician access and hadn’t realised it was left open. We’ve added a final lock-up check to our changeover routine. Lastly, storage is limited (as in many original cottages) and one cupboard is locked for owner supplies; we’ll make this clearer in the listing. Regards Sam and Helen

Hi Vanessa I thought we made it clear that your pets could stay in the large back bedroom with you on the tiled area as long as they don't get on the bed or furniture. There is also a roofed verandah which is a good spot for Pets, and a large doghouse. Anyway glad you enjoyed your stay. Regarding the movie platforms, it had never occurred to us that this would be a requirement as we have WiFi and most guests just log into their own, but good to note. Thank you.
