Carpets are in need of replacement. The multiple stains on the carpet were such an eye sore while inside the home. I didn't want to walk barefoot on them. There was no smell, just very noticeable and everywhere. Other than that it was a delightful stay. Beds were comfortable. Hot shower, and gorgeous views of the coast and Sunsets were a dream.
This was our second vacation in this beautiful picturesque beach house. The property is impeccably clean and the landscaping is beautiful. Surrounded by cypress trees, succulent plants and colorful flowers we felt like we were at a luxury resort. The house has an older charm and is well maintained. Comfortable beds and the kitchen is a perfect for cooking. The property sits on a bluff overlooking the ocean with a chorus of birds singing in the trees. Morning coffee and evening wine were amazing here. Highly recommend. Thank you so much.
House was very well equipped and clean. I would of preferred to have more information as to what amenities were available such as iron, blow dryer, washer, dryer, etc as we were visiting for a wedding and those were item that would of been helpful to know.
The location, sitting atop a seaside cliff with an almost 180 degree view of Monterey Bay can't be beat. Interior could use upgrades on furniture and wall to wall carpets, but the plus location, beautiful views and clifftop garden area, and crashing waves below more than make up for those things. We will be back.
Beautiful views! Comfortable beds. Could use a little more lighting in LR; some staples (e.g., salt, pepper, sugar, spices, flour), and a good nonstick frying pan. Would come back in a heartbeat!
My family and I had a wonderful and relaxing stay. We knew weâd found a gem when sitting down to our first dinner, looking out the window to the sunset and breathing our first sigh of relief, as our relaxing weekend begun. The house is perfect size for a small family and has all you might need for a short stay. The patio area was perfect for morning coffee and afternoon music. Beautiful flowers and plants were growing throughout the yard. We will most definitely be back!
Very cute, older property. Perfect for my husband, 2 year old and dog. There is no direct beach access, but its just a short drive down the road to New Brighton State Beach access and the cement ship. The best part of this property is the view and the back yard - just as the description describes. It really makes for some beautiful sunsets. There were a few minor downsides including very small, uncomfortable furniture, no pantry space and it seemed like there may be an ant problem they are trying to fix. There were many ant traps out, luckily my daughter and dog knew to leave them alone. But, you do see them in a lot of the corners of the house. Overall, it was a very nice stay, my daughter and dog got to play outside a lot and we were only at the property and sitting on the furniture in the evenings so it wasn't too bad. We would stay there again based on the yard and view alone.
Paradise called Seacliff - The location of Paradise was phenomenal. Stunning view that takes your breath away when you walk up to the property. The kitschy coolness of the exterior of the midcentury house was right up my alley and the landscaping was just right.
Once you're inside of the the home though it was a bit lack luster. Super dim lighting was a bit bothersome. It almost felt gloomy inside to the point where myself and my husband would have rather camped outside because of how dim everything was inside. Especially the bathroom!
Bathroom- Lighting above the toilet and above inside the shower would have been nice. I in the middle of the night in my groggy state had used the toilet and as I reached around to flush banged my forehead against the corner of the right wall divider that separates the shower and the toilet. Luckily no bruise but was sore all weekend. The toilet area is SO narrow. The bathroom area, especially the toilet area also smelled funky, almost like stagnant pee. I also noticed pink mold on the bottom of the shower curtains.
Bedrooms- Bedrooms were comfy, I was confused on which room was considered the master. The room with the larger I assume queen bed was in the small room next to the garage and the larger room had what I assume was a full sized bed.
Would I stay here again, probably not. But I appreciate it for what it is.
My husband booked this place for our anniversary- and we brought my mom for a much needed break from her medical treatment. Donât be fooled upon first driving up the driveway and seeing nothing but a very small one car masonry brick garage. Directly behind that lies a cozy, very charming beach house with expansive, stunningly beautiful views of the coastline and Monterey Bay. The home rests on a cliff/hillside with huge trees making it even more picturesque. You can hear the waves all day and all night and the garden is adorned with various succulent arrangements and special touches which make the experience even more scenic and enjoyable. We saw a stag staring at us from a neighborâs yard the first night and the next morning, the mama deer and baby stood in the same spot cautiously watching us and our little pups. The house was impeccably clean with linens and remotes carefully sanitized and packaged which I truly appreciated!! The kitchen was very functional but just remember to bring or buy all your cooking essentials- oil, spices, etc. I did notice a slightly stale scent upon first walking in and immediately went to open the windows to let the fresh ocean breeze in but the windows facing the ocean do not open. We soon discovered small vents throughout above the windows and opened those and the front and kitchen doors to air it out. Would love if some lounge chairs were provided for the lawn area so we could take a comfortable nap right out there with all the surrounding beauty. The art choices inside were tastefully chosen- also appreciated the decorative furniture pieces and comfy sofa! I would recommend this rental and would stay here again. (Thank you for being responsive when the keypad PIN ID didnât work.)
This property was incredible and exceeded our expectations. Comfortable beds, clean inside and outside. The landscape and flowers are absolutely stunning. The view of the ocean in the backyard was picturesque. Early morning coffee was accompanied by a glistening ocean and serenade of several birds. We left with refreshed souls and amazing memories. Would love to return.
It really is a paradise. Loved the views- stunning. Weather and sunsets so lovely. We were lucky to have little fog. The house is just adorable and perfect for my friend, her dog, and me. Had almost everything we needed. The garden and seating areas were lovely. Will try to book this again for next summer. Hope we get the dates because it is popular for good reason.
The only two minor issues are that it would have been nice to have a couple of beach chairs and the windows don't open so can get a little stuffy when warm. Maybe screen doors for the front and kitchen. Understand why you would not want to replace the picture windows.
We love everything about this place!
The candles that turn on automatically in the fireplace were an extra nice touch.
We slept soundly in luxury linens on great mattresses. The kitchen was supplied properly. Thank you for the sugar for my coffee.
Thank you!
With a 180 degree view of Monterey Bay to look at, and the sound of waves hitting the beach just below, this is one of the most relaxing stays possible.
