Nice little house in a location with easy access to main highways. Communication with owner was excellent and very gracious. I would recommend this property for anyone looking to stay in the north Phoenix area.
Thank you to Lana for all the excellent communication and responsiveness.
We basically only spent sleeping time at the home. The city water was terrible & we appreciated bottled water provided by the owner. The neighborhood was quiet & the home was easy to get to.
This was a quick business and personal trip, and staying in their home provided me a great opportunity to relax. It was very chill and great place to sty.
Comfortable home, very quiet neighborhood, owners very accommodating --
Kitchen is well-stocked with sauces, spices and other necessities. We saved a ton by using the gas barbeque and making great meals, dining by the pool or inside.
We very much enjoyed our stay. Quiet and pleasant.
We very much enjoyed our stay. The house and neighborhood are both quiet and pleasant. It was a very relaxing house for us. We could quickly travel to the stadium to watch MLB spring training as well as hop on the highway to visit the artsy town of Carefree. We highly recommend the closely located Greek cafe, George's Famous Gyros. Overall, it was a delightful holiday.
Misleading how many people can sleep in this house.
This listing says it sleeps 11. They are counting 2 on the futon in the kitchen (approx. 4 feet wide), 3 in the 3rd bedroom with a futon & a 'chair bed', and a blow up mattress for 2 adults. (which is located under the TV). That is not mentioned in this listing. We arrived with 10 people - 4 adults and 6 adult size children. There was no way we were going to be able to comfortably sleep here. We contacted them to discuss and possibly work something out. They did not accommodate at all. We were asking for a discount etc.. They ended up hanging up on us. We then called the Home Away website per their suggestion. Home Away had to pay for 3 rooms for 2 nights at a hotel for us. From what I'm hearing the owners are still not willing to reimburse our money, even though we were not able to stay there and we were completely mislead by their description of this home. Very disappointed. It would be a great home for 4 people (max) to sleep there comfortably. (unless you like futons and blow up mattresses)
Pros: the owners are nice and helpful, the pool is very nice, but not heated (this is stated in the description). There is an Xbox and games which my kids enjoyed, itâs close and convenient to shops and stores. The neighborhood seemed safe.
Cons: an unheated pool is cold! It might be fine later in the summer but for the first week of April, it was unusable (and air temps were in the mid 90s, so it was hot outside), property could use some updates, post-itâs around the house dictating what temperature you could set the thermostat to and to cover your food in the microwave made it hard to feel at home. We didnât find the beds to be comfortable.
We had a wonderful time on our first vacation to Phoenix, and this house was perfect for us! The house was very clean and well stocked with many things that we needed - spices in the kitchen, extra towels, dish and laundry detergent, etc. The location was close to many Spring Training ball parks, and there was easy access to the highway. A car is needed to get to the grocery store, eating out and sight-seeing. We loved waking up each morning to the bright sunshine and stepping into the back yard to drink coffee by the pool and listen to the birds. The backyard is very private and in a quiet neighborhood. Exactly what we wanted! I loved sitting by the pool every day, relaxing in a lounge chair. There was sun and shade available throughout the day. Nick was fantastic to work with! He was very responsive by text or through the App. We would definitely stay here again, on our next trip to Phoenix!
It was OK! Screens on the windows would be nice, to get fresh air. The sliding door to the back yard was old and in need of replacement. The washer/dryer was high tech but took forever to wash/dry. The pool was nice, but not heated. (We knew that in advance)
Beds were comfortable and the place was very clean! Good VRBO for a small family. Owners were very nice and would take care of any needs.
Nice home, good location, pretty patio and pool which unfortunately is not heated in winter months. Lana and Nik were so easy to get in touch with and provided many household items. Relaxing visit.
