Great Weekend!

We enjoyed our Columbus Day weekend at Amy & James house. It's a beautiful house! Very clean, spacious & nicely decorated. The bedrooms are big especially the master bedroom. Beds are comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked. I liked the idea of the cabinets being labeled. It makes it easier to find things in the kitchen & to put things back where it should be. The backyard is pretty big. My grandkids enjoyed playing outside. The house is in a nice neighborhood. Grocery store, restaurants, drugstore, gas station, Catholic Church are within a 5-15 minute drive. Amy & James are wonderful hosts! Communication was no problem at all. They responded to my emails & text messages in no time. Thank you Amy & James for letting us stay your beautiful house!

Cozy house/nice neighborhood

The highlights include: beautiful furnishing, luxurious bedding and well stocked kitchen. The location was also great for going back and forth to Newport. The downsides were the small shower in the upstairs bathroom and a musty smell which was quite noticeable on each entry that also lingered. The good outweighs the bad.

I would have no reservations on renting this property. The communications were excellent. The property is as listed. Very clean and in a good location to do day trips to Narragansett and Newport. Overall great stay

If you love rules, this is the place for you.

Property was great but ihe owner was overbearing. Called/txt/emailed me at least 3 times wanting to go over the property rules. THEY were also in a prominently placed 3 ring binder in the kitchen area, in addition they were also all over the hpuse, both inside and out!

Great Vacation

Great house

We had an excellent stay at this lovely and well appointed property. There was an issue with air conditioning which was easily fixed in a timely matter. The location was excellent for enjoying many great places in the area. We were able to launch our kayaks from the neighborhood beach at the lake, which our grandchildren enjoyed immensely. Thanks for a great vacation

The house was very nice and clean and good for our event. It could use a hair dryer and marine more hooks on the bathroom for towels. We would stay again should they need arise.

Back home visit

Excellent rental with all needed amenities We could have used a greater quantity of towels both hand towels and kitchen dish towels. Home is lovely with a beautiful back yard. Location is ideal for beach communities and tourist sites.

Family Vacation

We enjoyed our stay. The house was clean, comfortable and functional. There was plenty of space, bedrooms were large and the beds were comfortable. We made good use of the kitchen, which was well equipped as well as the grill and outdoor patio area. The location was very convenient, just a short ride to the beaches. We also did a day trip to Newport which was only an 18-minute ride. The owners were helpful and responsive to any questions.

Beautiful house, terrific location but bring your own amenities

House is beautiful, well kept, very clean. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, kitchen is well equipped and garden is lovely. Location was excellent for day trips - close to the beach, Newport etc. Note: House owner only provides things for a couple of days and is not willing to provide more so keep in mind - we stayed for 6 days and had to go to CVS to buy toilet paper, paper towel (only provided 1), dishwasher tablets, garbage bags, bath soap, shampoo etc. A first for us (normally owners are happy to provide extra in order to help us keep the place clean) and a bit of a downer which was unfortunate because other than that we really loved our stay.

Graduation

The perfect house for our graduation weekend plans! James was so helpful and made my first time renting a house with VRBO easier. Plenty of space for me and my daughter and family/friends who joined us throughout our stay. The grill was an awesome convenience for a BBQ the first night of our visit. Kitchen is great and includes lots of supplies. So convenient to get to Newport for a day trip—which we did. Highly recommend for families spending time/visiting students at URI.

Lovely Narragansett Home

We loved our week at this Narragansett house. It’s very spacious, seaside decor and all the essentials to make the week perfect. It’s location is very central to beaches and shopping, also just 20 mins from Newport. The beds are all comfortable. The kitchen is very modern and equipped with a gas stove. We loved spending time outside on the back patio. The property owners Amy & James were very responsive and got back quickly to our questions. Would highly recommend this location!

Clean Home and Convenient Location!

Enjoyed our stay and the convenience to Jamestown, Newport, Wickford and Narragansett. Clean home as advertised with comfortable beds. The two recliners in the living room could use replacing but everything else in the home was clean and comfortable.

Everything we Needed for a Great Stay

A rare instance where the house is even nicer than the photos suggest. Well maintained, with a beautiful, large, fenced in backyard; large bedrooms with unusually comfortable beds; a kitchen with truly everything you need for cooking, right down to a mandoline(!); and an incredibly responsive owner who called us the day we were to arrive to alert that there was a power outage (and called again when the power had returned). Despite the recent heat waves, the central A/C kept us comfortable upstairs and down the whole time -- never needed the supplementary split unit in the family room. There's a nice little local beach half a mile down the road that's great for swimming and kayaking/canoeing (larger beaches are a 10-15 minute drive), and a Brickley's ice cream about a mile away. Lacks nothing!

Our stay in RI

The house was clean and ready for us when we arrived. We found the air conditioning to be. inadequate to cool the upstairs floor in the afternoon and evening of the hot days, but was comfortable otherwise. The house is 15 minutes from Narragansett beach.

Kid Friendly, No Luxury

Comfortable, kid friendly, clean house; furniture and fixtures outdated and unappealing. When on vacation, goal is to enjoy as good as, or more luxurious than home. This property does not meet that objective. Shower upstairs too small, 5’2” 145 lb female barely fit. Bed and bath linens poor quality. Overall, decent house, but not my standards.

Very comfortable, home was lovely!

This rental was so nice, it was spotless and decorated very tastefully, I didn't have to do a thing when we arrived. Beds were extra comfortable and the patio was very nice to relax on. We were close to restaurants and grocery stores, the beach was about 4 miles away which was fine. The only suggestion we have is that the chairs in the living room could use replacement. I want to make it known that James always answered our calls and was always accommodating The yard was well maintained and very pretty! We enjoyed our stay very much and we thank you for sharing your home with us! Skip & Birdie Conti

Great location!

We had a wonderful stay at James and Amy’s house in Narragansett this past weekend. They had excellent communication and answered any questions I had before and during our trip. The house was comfortable for our 6 person stay. The house was clean and inviting and it was nice to have the detailed instructions. Everything was labeled, especially in the kitchen area. The only small suggestion I would make is to provide extra linens and blankets. There were a few pillows in the closet without cases, so we were unable to utilize them. We explored Narragansett and Newport which was a short 10-15 minute drive from the house. Shepards Run Winery is a must to visit if your looking for a wine tasting experience. Next time we visit RI, we hope to stay at this location again. Thank you!

Great location

The location was very convenient to Newport which was our main interest. We came here to visit a few mansions. Little did we know that the International Boat Show was also in Newport. This event did make travel a bit more challenging, however it added some additional excitement. Our first evening there we ate dinner at the Coast Guard House in Narragansett, and it was a fabulous experience, not far from our house. There was plenty to see and do in the Narragansett area. I would stay here again. The house was clean, well-organized and supplied with everything you would need.
