Surf City is a centrally located, highly popular portion of LBI (Long Beach Island). It is a perfect spot for vacationers. Surf City’s Boulevard section of town boasts endless shopping and restaurants, making a stroll down the street SHORE to please!

Surf City also hosts a great bay beach for the little ones to take a dip in a more low-key environment.

Surf City is a viable option for travelers seeking the right balance of convenient access with a measure of privacy as well.

Some key spots are: Bay Beach Area, Downtown Shopping Area, Yacht Club and Boat Access, and of course; the BEACH!

The house was a good size, we had tons of parking space (when it wasn’t flooded due to the hurricane off the coast), the backyard came in handy with games and a bbq. Overall good stay. You do have to provide your own towels, beach towels, sheets, and pillow cases and the sizes of all of the beds are not in the listing… this wasn’t convenient because I was flying in and didn’t have room to bring these things and had to buy most of them. Overall, I had a nice vacation visiting my family.

Beach stay

The house was great overall. Having enough room and space was key for us and this space provided that. Having the beach chairs and wagon was helpful too since it’s a 4 block walk to the beach which none of us minded since we had the wagon. There did seem to be a good amount of ants popping in and out in the kitchen and dining room. I would stay here again but would love if the ant problem was addressed. It would make it the perfect stay. It’s a lovely home, just what we needed to get away!

False advertising

The pictures being used, were obviously taken quite a few years ago. The property was not maintained at all this season, overgrown lawn, garbage under the bushes, nothing trimmed or mulched absolutely awful. Mold All over the outside of the house, nothing power washed . Tthe back door was not in good shape ,mold on the deck. The outdoor shower absolutely disgusting. We had to call and ask for somebody to come mow the lawn. They sprayed pesticides while we were there that we didn’t know if we could walk on the lawn or not. We called the real estate agent. She said she would get back to us she never did. The outside area was not conducive to what I want on an LBI vacation, you want to play corn hole and can jam and have some fun outside at night but you’re getting bit up because the lawn is high and then they spray chemicals on it that you don’t know if you can walk on. And the deck is very small and there’s a very small patio both of which were filthy. Also, the furniture outside was old and broken pieces sticking in as you tried to sit on it. I have been going to LBI for 30 years. I might add. Stayed in mega money homes to the most basic. This is the only time I’ve ever written a bad review on any of them! The interior of the house Had a smell when we first moved in of either mold, wet damage or a dead animal in the crawlspace that was open and exposed in the backyard . The interior was not awful. However it Could use a good scrubbing.
