Retro charm at Yurung

Welcome to a comfortable and much loved 1960's family beach house with the most amazing Ocean & Creek Views!

Yurung is not the Ritz, neither is it white, modern or minimalist, what is does have is loads of character, loads of light, original beach house charm from the wonderful 60's and 70's.  

It is also incredibly well situated with some of the best views in town, but also offers the following features:

Master Bedroom: Queen bed, access to deck & views
2nd Bedroom: Queen bed, also views
3rd bedroom: Single bunk bed (2 x singles)

Kitchen has loads of space but also includes a dishwasher to make your holiday a breeze

There is also a bonus of a full length billiards table inside for your use.

Come, sit back, relax, and retreat to simpler, less pretentious times!

Please note: Personal linen is not provided and guests will need to bring their own sheets, towels and pillowcases. If you would like to hire linen, this can be provided at an additional cost.

So-retro yes, but just lovely and homely.Has everything you need, including a solid billiards table that made for some fun evenings playing pool.I would stay here again in a heart beat, in fact I'm booking my next summer holiday now.Oh, did I mention the view...chefs kiss!

It is very well equipped and is a comfortable home, but the room with the 2 single beds is extremely small not suitable for adults. We enjoyed the pool table competitions in the evening’s. What is authentic?

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This holiday accommodation is ideally situated for easy access to the centre of the village. It has modest facilities but most of what you need.My question to the owners is when does "authentic" become an excuse not to maintain the property for an enjoyable renters experience?When we arrived the powerfuse had tripped and there was no power to the upstairs kitchen area. I had to find the main powerbox and switch it on. Obviously nobody had checked the power and there are no books or information on where to find such things.There were two old wire coathangers in the wardrobe - why not just supply 10 new ones at a cost of $2.A handwritten note a bit of paper suggests that you can stream TV using your own telco data as there is no wifi. Thats all well and good if you have a telco who has reception in the are - which apparently most dont.The real estate said they had sent my access code but with no telco service how does one get the code? Similarly I receieved an email when I was home telling me how to close up the house.If the place had wifi and a modem I could have received the email whilst at the house before leaving.It would be great if the owners when next at the house said to themselves what would my experience be if I was renting

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Enjoyed our stay very much even though the weather wasn’t perfect the position and view was amazing. We were able to fully relax if not in the water the view made it feel like we weren’t missing out at all. Property whilst older was clean and the new kitchen made it feel a lot more clean and enjoyable. Enjoyed a couple of games of pool and after a little WD40 spray of the door lock we loved spending time on the front deck as the sunset. Need to get rid of or replace the cot as salt affected.

Retro charm overlooking the point

Reviewer Comments: The holiday at Yurung ticks all boxes of you like a sun drenched balcony that overlooks the point, a pool table to invite your friends over, spacious, comfortable living spaces and a well equipped kitchen with amazing views from every window. Walk down to the shops and surf and be on top of the town catching the best sunsets. Interior is original but functioning with little touches that take you back down memory lane....you could be forgiven to think that time does stand still in Crescent Head.

Great View

Great location! and wonderful view. Spacious house, and pool table was invaluable with the teenagers when the weather turned. Could do with a freshen up, and the stove needs help. 2 hotplates are broken, and the oven doesn't work. Otherwise has all the basic necessities, just needs some TLC. Thanks for the holiday!

Hi and thanks for your review. Just a quick note to advise the oven does work however it won't operate if the digital time display isn't set. This may occur if our village has an electricity supply interruption. Please be assured if you are staying in Yurung and you need help with the oven, give us a call and we will happily sort it out for you. The hotplates are all operational. regards, Point Break Realty
