Cabin in the woods

We had a great time. The place was beautiful and so very clean. The host was very friendly and accommodating. The kitchen had plenty of everything, although if I had to suggest anything, I would say it could use more silverware. 😀 A great time was had by all. I would definitely recommend this cabin!!!

Family Christmas

10/10 location. Also had a heated pool for the time we were there over Christmas break, along with the heated pool there was a small arcade. Outside there was a pickle ball court, putt putt, and basketball. They have a few parks within the neighborhood and an area for swimming near the camping area for summer. The cabin itself was amazing and spotless, plenty of room and everything you need for a stay! The pool table was my kids favorite within the cabin. I loved the fireplace! Overall would love to come back!

Family Holiday

The cabin was clean, cozy (with the fire burning) and everything listed was as promised. We enjoyed our family time, playing pool, card/board games, cooking dinner and the outdoor amenities were great too! Joe was very responsive and a pleasure to deal with. The daily morning/evening deer visits were such a treat!However, some of the mattresses could use replacing, more silverware (only had 5 forks??) and an additional garbage can would be helpful too. With 6 adults and 2 kids with only one can, it was filled and 'nighttime visitors' got into it! A great time was had by everyone and we would revisit for sure!

Family cabin

We stayed here for a 4 nights. This cabin is great and has a nice homey feeling. I stayed with my wife / her mother and my mother.. plenty of sleeping space.You will feel at home here. We enjoyed seeing all the wild deers running around.The kitchen and the open living room is nice. Also you can sit outside in the rocking chairs to destress and look at the forest.The owner / host joe is friendly and Helpfull.The driveway is a little steep to drive down into, but you can do it. We went in may but if it is winter time there with snow in the winter it might be a tough one.. I’m not sure if it snows there.The location is great because there is an aldi grocery store 10 min away. And east ellijay is easy and fast to get to.Also carters lake is 15 min away.We loved the cabin and we will be back one day. Thank you Joe for your great hospitality.

Not registered at the gate upon arrival

The property was clean & well equipped. Upon arrival security at the gate did not have my information even after checking for the following day. When I reached out to the contact person she asked if I had registered with them, I informed her there were no instructions to do so. She then contacted them and let me know I was all set. The first time we tried to open the door we had to try 3 times before we were able to get the lock to work. the next couple of days it was fine, then we had trouble again. I reached out to the contact person again & she sent another code she said would work. We continued to have problems but just put up with it. There were no end tables in the living area and the seating at the dining table was all hard benches & chairs. The slope where the fire pit is located if very dangerous. Our last night the temperature outside dropped to 39 degrees and there was no way to switch the thermostat to heat. It had gotten down to 64 inside the cabin by the time we got up in the morning.

We wanted to pass along the following feedback from the homeowners: "We are sorry to hear you were disappointed with your stay. -Our sincere apologies for the mistake that led to you not being registered at the gate. We were happy to take care of that immediately for you. -We send out instructions in our pre-stay email on how to use the lock. We were happy to provide you with another code. We checked the keypad after your checkout and it is working properly. -Thank you for the suggestions for end tables and cushions for the custom benches. We are always open to improving our guests' experience. -There are two fire pits referenced on the listing, one for guests to use located in front of the property, and the other one is at the back of the property and is noted as not being available to guests, which is the one that is on a slope. -There are instructions in the welcome book on how to use the Nest smart thermostat. We wish you had let us know you were having issues with it, as we could have changed it for you remotely. We will ensure the instructions are clear and make sure there is additional contact information for the guest contact and owner in case there is any need for additional on-site or remote assistance to better accommodate our guests."

We had a wonderful fall family vacation at this beautiful cabin in Ellijay. The cabin was every bit of what we hoped for and more. The photos were a complete match. The cabin was immaculate. The owner put a great deal of charm and character into every detail. The owner was great to work with and informative. We will definitely be back and we will be sure to tell everyone we know to book this exact location.

Very clean, everything you need in the kitchen! My adult children loved the pool table!!

A great place to bring your family! Lots of games and a pool table! Enjoyed the fire pit as well!

Our Stay in Elijay

The property was well groomed on the outside. The inside was spacious and clean. Perfect for our family of four. Mild dusting needed to be done. Patio furniture needs to be cleaned.

This was absolutely the most gorgeous cabin that we have ever rented. Phenomenal from start to finish from outside to end. The owners are also amazing, everything from all of the details that they have put into this home. I would highly recommend anyone at once in artistry experience to rent here.

Couples weekend getaway

Couples gathered and had an adult good time. We planned earlier and everything came together as planned.We shared lots of stories and laughs. This is a trip we plan on doing every year. Thanks VRBO for making this a weekend to remember

Nice home

The house is very nice. It was clean but we did see a few small roaches (one big dead one on the stove) and other insects. There are many many steps so this should be considered. The router is located on the main floor so the internet was hit or miss in the basement. There is no tv on the main floor neither in the living area or the bedroom on that floor. The check in was not well organized at all. We were not registered before arrival; I think this should definitely be considered rather than waiting until arrival. Other than these small issues we had a nice time and enjoyed the area.
