We had an excellent stay . This is the second time we have stayed at this house and Nancy is a wonderful host, very responsive and friendly. The house is well stocked, lots of supplies and very clean. I love that everything is labeled and so easily accessible. Thank you Nancy for making our stay such an enjoyable experience, we hope to be back next year!

Fabulous house in Pirates Beach

This home has everything! The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking. There is everything you need for the beach (pop up tent, chairs, beach toys). This house was also spotless. The downstairs area is great for everyone to be together. There is a big table, shower for after the beach, hot tub, corn hole, ping pong, and plenty of other games. It is fenced in too which helps with kids. The beach access is right down the street and you can park right there to unload your stuff and set up. We will definitely be back to enjoy more family time together at this home!

Amazing Beach Home Stay!

We were 6 adults and 1 baby staying at Jimmy Hooks for a long weekend and we had an amazing time! The house was spectacularly clean and well equipped. The kitchen had everything you might need and more and there was also everything we could possibly think of for the baby as well (pack n play, high chair, baby toilet seat, baby gates on the stairs). The games on the patio were so much fun, as was the hot tub. There were a ton of beach toys and chairs as well as a wagon to transport everything the short distance to the beach. We lucked out with beautiful weather and spent a nice afternoon throwing a frisbee by the water. Overall this place is 10 stars out of 5 and I would highly recommend it as a nice relaxing getaway. We can’t wait to return!

Family Friendly Home Away from Home for Baby to Great Grandma

I wanted to find a nice getaway for my family (husband, 4YO and 1YO), my parents and my grandma. Man, was Jimmy Hook's the best! This house was great for a larger family to stay with plenty of bathrooms and space. My baby was able to nap in the master bedroom while we played in the living, you couldn't hear any noise, get quality walls. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking. There's even toys and books for the kids!!! The bunkbed room is a great space for the kids to play. The outdoor shower was my daughter's favorite activity other than the beach. The neighborhood is so quiet and family friendly. It's a great location, just a 2 minute golf cart ride to the beach. There's everything you could ever want. Nancy was a wonderful host. Will be back again VERY soon!

Fabulous Home

We had a fantastic weekend at this property. The check in was a breeze and the host was responsive, attentive and super nice. The home is decorated beautifully and very relaxing. It is an easy walk to the beach and the ground level of the house has lots of activities to keep people busy on a rainy day. The teens in our group especially loved hanging out down there. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, wine glasses, etc, and we were easily able to cook everything we needed. The grill also came in very handy. The mattresses were very comfortable, the layout of the house was great, and everyone had plenty of space. It was a rainy weekend and the giant games closet was also very handy. If we come back to Galveston it will be our go-to rental property for sure. We have nothing negative to report! Thank you for a great, problem free weekend!

Perfect Family Vacation

Just pack your bathing suits and clothes, because this house has everything else, it's perfect!! There is no other word to describe it. My family of three and my parents enjoyed a wonderful five days here. The house had everything we needed. From a toaster, to a toddler toilet seat, to a HUGE amount of games, to every beach item my 3 year old might want to play with. Everything we needed, the house had.My 3 year old was entertained every day! It was so great that the house had toys for her to play with, and even games that she could do with the whole family. And the fact that we didn't have to bring anything for the beach made packing for the road trip so much easier.The short 5 minute walk to the beach was easy to make with the wagon provided. And being able to shower off before going into the house made life so much easier. We already want to go back and bring more friends!

We were thrilled with the amenities of the house. We planned to cook all our meals since we were a party of 9, and it had everything one would need! It was also great that there was a beach tent, and we enjoyed all the fun things like the ping pong table and shuffle board.

Friends and family vacation

We booked our trip in the spring. Four of us have been friends for over 50 years. Also my grandaughter and her boyfriend wanted to join us. She was able to celebrate her 20th birthday with us I feel so blessed that she wanted to. The Hook house was perfect for everyone. There was plenty of room inside and out. It was just a short trip to the beach. We enjoyed every minute of the week and the host was very welcoming and answered me back quickly each time I needed to Reach out to her. We had the best time and made some lifetime memories. Beautiful home.

This beach house was by far one of the best I have rented at Pirates Beach. It has every amenity you need. And since it was raining some of the time we played with the games downstairs (corn hole, shuffleboard) and the games inside. I highly recommend this property!

We loved it!

This house is very nice and the owner is super nice and communicates well. Everything was clean and well maintained. Lots of games, kitchen is fully stocked, great balcony patio. Definitely recommend!

Home Away From Home

This house feels like home! It’s the only place to stay if you have a family. Its prime location to the beach makes it a quick walk to the water. There’s all the games and beach toys you could ever want! My kids love the outdoor shower and my daughter got really good at Battleship at night. They have this amazing game closet! The beds are the best, I never want to leave them! But the patio for the my morning coffee is worth getting up. Book here and prepare for the vacation of a lifetime!

Great Family and Friend Weekend

We had three families of four with kiddos ranging from 2 to 11. This house had everything we needed to accommodate our stay and make for an easy, breezy weekend. The kids enjoyed the bunk room and the adults enjoyed the comfy living/dining area for catching up and relaxing after a long day. The elevator lift made easy work of transporting items to the main floor. The downstairs outdoor area was a nice reprieve after a hot day at the beach—we had most of our lunches here while taking a beach break. The downstairs shower and bathroom were AMAZING and made everything so much easier to leave the beach at the beach. We would absolutely stay again.

Amazing House and Accommodations

We had the best time on our trip and staying here was the main reason. Beautiful house with every accommodation you could ask for. Very clean, open concept with a big kitchen and really cool outdoor area upstairs and downstairs. Very short walk to the beach and the hosts provided great toys, chairs, games, etc. We will absolutely be back! 6 adults and 3 kids slept comfortably and had plenty of room. The host thought of everything we would need and had it provided (down to labels of where everything was located!) Thank you for an awesome stay!!! See you again soon!

Just bring your clothes and food!

I booked Jimmie Hooks for a family summer vacation for my family of 4, as well as my brother and sister and their family. To start, our hostess Nancy had good communication; first to let us know we could check in early. Yes!! And she made sure we arrived ok and were able to access the property. The home was very clean. We cooked and the kitchen had all the supplies we needed. Oh, and there is a grill outside too! The place had it all. We had 3 small kids and 3 teenagers in our group and there was plenty of entertainment for all. From board games to books etc. We didn't have infants or toddlers in our group but the place was equipped with high chairs, a pack, and plays etc. The same was true when we geared up to head to the beach. All beach amenities are included in the home, tents boogie boards, beach toys, an umbrella, and a cart to pull it all. And btw...the beach was only a 2-minute walk. No need for a car or golf cart. Upon returning from the beach we all relished the outdoor shower that has hot and cold water along with shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. The bar outside was a nice touch. I felt like we had our own little private party oasis. The neighborhood was very nice and everyone was so friendly smiling and waving as they pass by. We all agreed this was the best beach house to rent for families with children of all ages. Will definitely recommend Jimmie Hooks to my family and friends.
