Cozy & Quiet Space in the Heart of East Vancouver

We are centrally located in the heart of East Vancouver in the Hastings Sunrise neighbourhood. A short stroll to Commercial Drive - 'old world' Italian cafes, boutiques, restaurants, craft breweries and the East Village - a burgeoning, hip scene with great bars, restaurants and shopping.

The unit has been completely renovated with radiant in-floor heat in the bathroom and new Scandinavian-inspired furniture and flooring. Cozy and warm in winter and cool and light in summer!

Located on a quiet, tree-lined neighbourhood in the heart of East Vancouver, our unit is a warm and inviting retreat perfect for a single traveller or a couple.

Private entrance and private outdoor sitting area. Please note: guests do have to walk down a few steps to access the door to the suite.

This is a basement unit. Ceiling height: 6'4".

This 1-bedroom space features a firm queen bed with a Bloom mattress topper and plenty of pillows for a restful night’s sleep.

The bedroom also has a large walk-in closet offering plenty of storage space for luggage, coats etc.

The kitchen is fully equipped with essential cookware, utensils and dinnerware; everything you'll need to prepare all your meals. The dining area has a small dining table that seats two, perfect for enjoying meals or working on your laptop.

The bathroom is clean and modern with radiant in-floor heat and a full bathtub with shower. Fresh towels, and essential toiletries are also provided.

Laundry: Access to the washing machine and dryer in the main house may be arranged upon request.

Please note that my husband and I live upstairs so normal, day-to-day sound transfer can be expected.

What a beautiful place! More beautiful than the pictures. Lovely garden, bunnies and lots of birds. Centrally located for day trips to Perth, Stirling and Edinburgh. Lots of great birding near by as well. Highly recommend as it was a great stay. Tracey and Jerome were the nicest folks we’ve encountered on our trip. Thanks to them both for our lovely stay.

Very Satisfied Guest

From the moment we opened the entry door to the unit until the time we departed, the entire stay wad comfortable and exactly as advertized. Sylvia and Boyd not only made us feel welcome by providing a living space that was spotless, they recognized our 25th wedding anniversary with a table centerpiece and bottle of wine. Should our travels take us to Vancouver in the future we will stay at that address again. Wonderful location in order to visit many different parts of the city.

Everything was fine..Place was clean and owners were nice people...A little small quarters , but had most everything required to cook and eat meals...Close to most tourist attractions...Central location!

We loved this place! So clean and cozy! Easy access to all the touristy areas but, private and quiet neighborhood! Sylvia and Boyd were a delight! Steered us to the best restaurants and breweries! We would love to come back!

Perfectly situated cozy getaway

Unit was perfectly situated to all of our activities and just right for our needs. Hosts were quick to respond to any inquiries. It's always tough when traveling to find lodging where the bed compares to home. We could not have been more pleased and had a restful weekend. Will definitely save to our favorites for a return trip.

Great Hosts

This was a great stay. Really nice hosts that were really helpful when we had any questions. The suite had a ton of useful information about things to do in the neighborhood and the surrounding area. Lots of small details that go a long way like having a selection of snacks and having soap and shampoo (many places I have been don't offer this). Would stay again.

Retreat after Alaska Cruise

The neighborhood was quiet plenty of on street parking. Slyvia was very welcoming and had a binder of great places to visit and restaurants within walking distance. Ee stayed here for a few nights after an Alaskan cruise to get ideas for a future vacation there is so much to do and hope rhis property is still available for our trip!

Very clean, nice neighbourhood, convenient location. Fully equipped. Comfortable Queen-size bed. Plenty of storage space. Very good as a base for visiting family and friends. Hosts are very pleasant and communicate well with guests.

Wonderful weekend!

This property is very well located ,, just outside of Downtown Vancouver. The suite was cozy for two people. I went with my daughter for her birthday and this being our first time in the west coast, the rental made it worth the visit. The host provides perfect detail in instructions and an accurate description of the home. Definitely recommend. Thank you again for having us

A Cozy, Quiet Retreat

If you're looking for a quiet, immaculately clean and cozy spot to rest while visiting Vancouver, then you'll want to check out this place for sure. Tucked away on a lovely street and close to parks and restaurants, the noise of the city is absent but you're still close enough to the city without the high-price of downtown properties. We loved it and plan to return again.

Excellent property

Sylvia and Boyd were amazing hosts. The property was very comfortable. We immediately felt like we were home while we were there. They communicated through the app several times to ensure we were comfortable and answered a few questions we had about the surrounding area. The location is convenient to public transportation and local shops and restaurants. If im ever in need of a place to stay in Vancouver again this is my #1 choice.

I have lived in Vancouver my entire life and my husband is originally from Victoria, BC but has spent the majority of his adult life in Vancouver. He is a music educator and Taiko drummer and I work as a Voice Artist and Director. As an avid mountain biker, my husband can tell you exactly where to hike and bike if you're an outdoor enthusiast. I love cooking and eating great food and drinking delicious wines and can offer recommendations on local eateries.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We can be hands-on or hands-off depending on your needs. We live upstairs and do our best to keep noise levels to a minimum but some day-to-day sound transfer can be expected. We are centrally located, close to Commercial Drive and the Hastings Sunrise area but on a quiet street where you can enjoy a good nights rest before heading out the next day to enjoy the surrounding area, downtown Vancouver or the North Shore mountains. The space is immaculately kept and cleaned and super cozy in Winter and lovely and cool in Summer.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Clinton Park across the street, free street parking, Wi-fi, NETFLIX, shared laundry (upon request and for a fee), 15 minute walk to local craft breweries, 20 minute drive to the North Shore mountains, 1.5 hour drive to Whistler mountain and village. Affordable, clean and comfortable accommodation in the heart of East Vancouver.
