For Family Memories

It was such an awesome experience! The home looks just like the pics. The ability to get away from the city in a comfortable cottage was great. Also, pleased with the fair rental rate. I can recommend this for families/friends on a budget. Only suggestion would be to have more and brighter lighting in the rear of home and around the fire pit.

Beautiful Home

On the drive in you realize you are staying in a small country community, roads are narrow and steep but managable. You need to bring some extra toilet paper and paper towels. If you plan on cooking you will need to bring a cutting board and baking sheets. We only cooked for breakfast and one dinner and had to be creative on some things. There was a turtle that showed up every morning at the patio door and so we fed it Strawberries. Beds were comfortable and the place was super clean.

The Air condition and beds are awesome!

Our stay was good being with our granddaughters. The place needs a deep cleaning especially the floors. We were not able to use the outside much due to bitting insects and tarantulas! Only one room had dressers. We had to leave our clothes on the floor operating from the luggage and there were many spiders crawling around. The outside is a great place for people who enjoy nature - spiders, huge tarantulas, turtles, friendly curious puppy, fireflies and crickets loud enough to drown out our patio conversations. We even saw a cute little fox strolling out of the woods. The kitchen is well stocked with everything we needed except there was not one fixing/mixing bowl or casserole dish or paring knife. Walmart is about 6 miles away though. Management was awesome and addressed a couple of concerns right away. For certain groups, this would be an ideal vacation spot but I should have given a lot more thought of bringing granddaughters (ages 7-33) to this spot but sometimes it’s hard to know unless you are familiar with the property. There were no reviews available since last year and without updated honest thoughtful reviews it’s hard to evaluate. This is a very peaceful and secluded getaway. Do NOT try to find it at night for the first time, even with GPS (my heartfelt suggestion)!

AC and Beds were Awesome

House is needing a deep cleaning, especially the floors and inside the lower cabinets. Management was awesome; very nice and attentive, and came to attend to a couple of items immediately. We had a pleasant stay although we were not able to use the outside and the firepit with my granddaughters because of biting insects and huge tarantulas, a friendly pit bull that was running loose much of the time that scared the daylights out of the 7-year-old, and foxes coming out of the wooded area. This may have been an ideal spot for a grandson/grandpa (guys) trip but came up a little short for my finicky granddaughters. The kitchen is adequately stocked with even a waffle (turnover type) maker, however, there were no mixing bowls or serving bowls, or casserole dishes. The beds are very comfortable and the AC very cold. There was only one bedroom that had a dresser and the bunk bedroom had no dresser nor a closet. Girls had to keep their clothes on the floor and dig out of their bags, and I killed 3 spiders. I didn't find an iron or ironing board in the house. There was no bedding provided for the sofabed in the bunk bedroom. There is a new washer/dryer set and plenty of relatively new towels. All the bedrooms really do need a TV but only one bedroom has one. All in all, we had a pleasant stay in this quiet secluded forest spot. Observing suggestions made here will only enhance the stay. There are other private properties around but they are surrounded and covered by a lot of trees so we really didn't see anyone else except the lady who came to retrieve the pit bull puppy from our yard, several times. The puppy really liked the granddaughter who was traumatized by it. They were about the same size. The teenage girls started petting it so I'm sure it felt welcomed!

Pretty location/has potential

This property is on beautiful grounds. The location is adventurous and lovely. The house has a ton of potential. It is very quaint and appropriate for the surroundings. But, it was dirty and very poorly supplied in the kitchen and bathrooms. It had not been cleaned at all it seems before we came although a sign was left by the service and it smelled like spray cleaner all over the house. We had to wash some of the sheets and my feet were black off the tile floor within an hour. So, I’m going to blame the cleaning service. Get another one and supply the house. It costs way too much money to have any of these basic issues. If these things are improved, I recommend it. Otherwise, I truly do not!

Great time.

This was a great house. However the fully stocked kitchen is not fully stocked. Bring a colander, measuring cups, cooking utensils, salt and pepper, and pots and pans. The house sleeps 16 but the pots and pans and utensils are not adequate for cooking for that many. Luckily I had brought some big pots and skillets with me. The water pressure is also not good in the kitchen. It is great everywhere else. If you plan to be outside, bring plenty of bug spray. The mosquitoes and ticks were bad. Otherwise everything was great.

Amazing property managers! House was just ok.

When we got there early I texted the PM to let them know. They answered immediately and sent someone to the house to meet us. Upon entering I noticed some bugs on the floor like it had been vacant for awhile. The upstairs air was not on and it was so hot upstairs. The PM was very responsive and someone came out in the morning to fix it but of course when you’re on vacation and pay so much for the house you should not have these kind of issues or should receive some type of credit. The pillows on the beds were the worst I’ve ever seen with barely any filling. The bedding was cheap as well and very disappointing. They didn’t have the kitchen as well stocked as they could have and not enough trash bags. The positives were the lot was large and we loved hanging out by the fire pit and playing horse shoes. My son enjoyed the swing. Again we really appreciated the property managers they were great! I would suggest ditching the horrible bed pillows and upgrading the bedding and towels.

This property is a great getaway. It is very relaxing and peaceful. The property is very nice, clean, and spacious. The manager is very responsive and answers questions quickly. I will not hesitate to book this property again. We had an excellent stay! Thank you for such a great property.

Ideal Thanksgiving Gathering spot

The entire family thoroughly enjoyed this spot. Lots of room for the kids to roam, explore and play outside. Kitchen looked like it might present an issue for a big Thanksgiving dinner, but ended up being perfect. Brought some of our own cooking equipment to help out. We loved it here! We will definitely book again for large family gatherings.
