Activities while staying at Dejavu are abundant. You can do anything from spending the day whale watching or kayaking on the ocean, to hiking and biking through the lush rainforest around Vancouver, or hike to the top of the 4,000 foot Grouse Mountain and take in the spectacular view above the city. If relaxing is more the idea, a game of golf on championship greens or a relaxing treatment at one of the local spas might be a nice alternative.
Let Dejavu be your base to explore its many wonders!

Combining spectacular natural beauty and a prime waterfront location, Vancouver has captivated the imagination of travelers the world over. Surrounded by the Pacific Ocean and the Coastal Mountains, Mother Nature pulled out all the stops when she created âCanadaâs Golden Childâ. Vancouver is an experience, not a vacation, and you have to see it to believe it.
At Dejavu you are just steps away from an adventure that youâll treasure forever! âit reminds us of homeâ - Brigitte & Gerard, Paris, France (2011)
If you're looking for a clean room in a safe and convenient neighborhood close to both the airport as well as the bustling culture and plethora of dining options that central Richmond has to offer, then make our home your home.
We are just steps to the bus stop. From there it's a 5-minute ride to Richmond Center and the Canada Line which whizzes you downtown in less than half an hour. We are less than 10 minutes from Vancouver and also from the airport by car. You will have use of the outdoor pool (seasonal), deck and outdoor fireplace. We offer wifi and free visitor parking.
We have a small dog who is very friendly and well-behaved. Be forewarned, he will probably bark at you upon your arrival, but give it a couple of minutes and he'll be wanting you to play ball with him. Our little guy is non-shedding so people allergic to pet fur are typically fine around him. Amenities & Details:
âą Thermostat / Heater in Room âą Dishwasher âą Swimming Pool (seasonal July - Sept) âą WIFI âą Microwave âą Hot Water Kettle âą Parking On Site & free overflow âą Refrigerator âą Toaster âą Towels
We do our best to keep nature out, but we do not use pesticides in or around the home. Sometimes nature happens and you should be ok with that before booking.
âą Your room has a locking door with keys, so come and go as you please.
Weâre more a guest / farmhouse than BnB., with a twist of Fawlty Towers sprinkled in. We donât claim to be perfect, but we do offer an authentic, budget friendly experience with a regular Canadian family. You're free to come and go as you please. Integrate or isolate. No worries ;)
Loved our stay here! The place was super nice, clean, and in a really safe area. The steam bath was awesome - such a cool bonus! Host was great with communication too. Would definitely stay again.
The room/bathroom was fantastic and spacious. The hosts Will & Tammy were very kind and generous, and had lots of excellent recommendations for things to do in the area. The one thing is it is definitely more of a hostel sort of environment than it seems from the listingâ due to allergies we look for places with kitchens so we can cook our own meals, and while this place had an accessible microwave and toaster oven for guests, it wasnât the type of kitchen access we had expected from the listing.
We loved it here. The room was clean with a nice bathroom, and the communication was excellent with the host. They were quick to respond during our stay and helped out with the things we asked for. The vibe was cozy, and we felt very comfortable overall!
(The place was less than 10 mins away from Richmond-Brighouse station, via bus that comes every 10-15 mins!)
Excellent location. Handy to transport and shops. Friendly efficient and helpful hosts.(thanks Wil & Tammy)If we ever return to Vancouver, we will definitely stay again. Les & Lori. Allegori
Stayed in the Espresso suite, which is only room with private bath. Otherwise Hostel environment, but very clean, quiet, friendly and accommodating. Felt comfortable, safe and welcome, even with my teenage son. Very nice people! Pool is cold but was perfect for a dip after a day at Playland. Room was hot by afternoon when we got back but opened windows and curtains and was great at night! Stayed 4 nights and would definitely return!
Tammy was wonderful and incredibly communicative. Unfortunately, from previous reviews, I think we got a different expectation of this place. In reality: it's a clean hostel with access to a working microwave and pool. We stayed in the espresso room which had a beautiful bathroom all to ourselves -- and everyone else shared a bathroom That's fine, but just different from my expectations of a BnB. You do have to take a bus to the sky train and sometimes the bus takes up to 15 minutes to arrive. The decor and furniture could use some updating as the bed was quite uncomfortable and it was quite warm in our room the house got a little noisy at night being right over the garage and with people coming and going and all. Overall, it was an okay stay and affordable for Vancouver when booking so late (just maybe not for Richmond). Fine in a pinch!
Easy self check-in process. Communicative hosts who offered many suggestions for local activities. Safe area. Quiet and clean.
We paid slightly more to stay in the "Espresso" room and we absolutely did not regret it.
Very comfortable king size bed. Ensuite had a walk-in rain shower with steam.
High-functioning Vancouver public transit gives the location really great value for cost, with or without a vehicle. (Get the Vancouver transit app.)
Particularly great location if you plan on visiting the Richmond area, and if coming directly from the airport. World-class food abundant. (True for Vancouver in general, but in Richmond in particular. A mind-blowing amount of dining options...)
There is a pool (we didn't use it).
Only detraction I can think of it that kitchen facilities are limited (due to licensing?) Kettle, microwave, and french presses for coffee... a few other amenities. Don't expect to be able to prepare proper meals, just simple breakfasts.
Would go out of our way to book this location again.
The house and room was spotless and very welcoming. location was great and easy to find. Host was great at communicating with us and answering any questions. They also gave many suggestions on things to do in the area and places to eat. The only reason I gave a 4 on the overall stay, was because we found the bed very hard and uncomfortable. But otherwise, fantastic place to stay! Would definitely recommend!
Such a lovely stay! My room was massive and the steam shower was a nice touch (sorry to those that don't get this room!) Super clean and easy to get to Vancouver central and beyond. Thanks for a pleasant stay!
Aside from the very hot room and house temperatures due to the extremely high heat, everything else was wonderful. They provided me information about the city and where to find good restaurants as well as how to get around on the public transportation system
Highly recommend a stay this Tammy and Will.
Pros:
Price is right
Host communication was adequate
Easy commute from airport
Nice house in a nice quiet neighborhood
About one mile from main SkyTrain line and a nice shopping mall
Large room and ensuite bathroom w/adequate furnishings
Very clean
Cons:
Ventilation in guest hallway is inadequate (specially in COVID times)
No ventilation in bathroom (window is sealed)
Hot water for shower is lacking in the mornings
Noisy pump of some kind goes off all hours
Sheets and bedding are substandard
Lovely home in a convenient location to the airport and other transportation. Rooms beautifully decorated and very comfortable.
Will and Tammy are welcoming and provided quick responses to our pre visit questions. We will definitely rebook if our travels take us back to Vancouver which us a beautiful city withots to do!
Will & Tammy are very welcoming and accommodating. Our stay was seamless and the commute was easy to access. The house and rooms are spacious and the area is easy to navigate. We highly recommend this great location! P.S If you see Bossy đ¶ make sure to give him a great belly rub đ
