We loved the house. There was such a great yard for the kids, who played outside most of the time. The kitchen was well equipped, the soaps and body products were 5 star. The bed linen was so comfortable. We had a great long weekend. The owner let us check in early and check out late, she was always available when I messaged her. I would highly recommend this beautiful house. It was just so lovely.

Loved the space! Pictures looked true to how gorgeous the house is. We had a small group of loved ones to celebrate our wedding and everyone was in awe. Deb was also lovely to deal with - couldn’t recommend it enough!

Magical Christmas Stay

We spent the most magical family Christmas at this beautiful house this year. The house was perfectly styled and appointed (including the most gorgeous Christmas tree). The whole family, including our pugalier, enjoyed every aspect of the house, including the beautiful garden (great for cricket), the pizza oven and the super comfortable beds. Carol was an exceptionally helpful and generous host and we can’t wait to return!

Beautiful getaway!

This amazing 5 bedroom house is perfect for a blue mountains getaway. It is also perfect for hosting a few friends over for a pizza in the pizza oven! I would 100% stay at this place again and would recommend it!

We had a great time at this beautiful cottage celebrating my husband's 60th birthday. It was perfect to accommodate our family of 7 adults and a baby. The entertaining areas were spacious, light and airy, and we enjoyed sitting outside around the fire pit at night. The kitchen was huge and well resourced, and the bedrooms very comfortable. It was nice to be able to take a leisurely walk into the village. The owners were welcoming and very responsive to our needs. I highly recommend staying at this lovely property.

Beautiful elopement property

We loved everything about this gorgeous photogenic home Carol has mastered. We held our elopement here with a total of 20 guests. Having a team from Sydney come and make pizzas. Note, there are limitations re outside pizza oven due to summer fire ban. The only down side which is beyond the control of the host was the behaviour of neighbours. Unfortunately star ugh after our ceremony as we poured our champagne tower the neighbours started chain sawing right on the boundary of the property. We then received an in person visit from council (on our wedding day) stating there was a complaint from neighbours due to us holding a ‘wedding’ there. Apparently we were in breach because we had alcohol on site and had a catering team, this requires a permit? Apart from these interruptions which were unpleasant at the time our stay was fantastic. Thank you Carol, we will stay again!

BEAUTIFUL HOUSE AND GROUNDS

We enjoyed staying at Orchard Cottage. Please should be aware however of noise from the highway and trains. If people do not like night time noise they should consider something else. Whilst there was a lot of crockery to use, a lot of it was chipped, so I would suggest to the owner to renew the crockery. In addition, in 3 of the bedrooms there are only 2 hooks at the back of doors to hang clothes - no wardrobes in any of the bedrooms . The other 2 bedrooms have drawers and 2 hooks behind the doors. Otherwise, it was lovely to have an open fire and enjoy the old cottage which has been modernised. Good for a group to stay,

Superb get together!

Looking to accomodate a reunion of first time mums group from Yorkshire and the now 22 yr old children was a challenge! Perfect weekend was had hiking, games, cooking and coming together all under one roof with space in the garden for the dog to play frizbee! Highly recommend! The Sisterhood stay at Orchard Cottage

We enjoyed our stay immensely, we were a group of ten mature ladies who like to getaway & relax, laugh, eat, drink & generally have some us time. The house was situated just out of the bustling Leura, close enough to enjoy the shopping, cafes & sites. Our only negative would be the lounge was not very comfortable for us old ducks, everything else was superb. Thank you Carol

AMAZING JUST AMAZING!

We booked to stay and hold our wedding here and it could not have been more perfect! The house was like something out of a magazine and as the most amazing backdrop for our ceremony. All our friends and family commented all weekend on how beautiful the house was. We had about 40 people attend our small wedding, about half adults and half kids, the kids loved running around in the backyard and the adults relaxed on the deck and in the backyard. The kitchen was fitted out with everything we and our caters could need, this house really had it all! If you are planning a family getaway or planning your wedding, this house will not disappoint. The owners were also very responsive whenever we had questions leading up to our stay and the amazing cleaner even was kind enough to post back some small belongings we left behind. Thank you to them for allowing us to use this space/house for our wedding and allowing us to create these wonderful memories!

Amazing venue

We booked orchard cottage for our small wedding (approximately 30 guests) and it couldn't have been more perfect. Carol was very communicative and accommodating and the house was absolutely beautiful. We stayed with family for a few nights and everything was clean and comfortable, and we had everything we needed. Would book again in a heartbeat!

Exceeded expectations

Everything about this property was perfection! A short walk to the main shops, beautiful large backyard and comfortable living area and bedrooms. The house was so well-equipped with everything we needed, especially for entertaining our guests. We even had a check-in phone call from the housekeeper when there was a mini earthquake in the area. We wish we could have stayed for longer! Thank you Orchard Cottage

A Little Leura Luxury.

This could be a very short and sweet review by saying the house, location and inclusions are fabulous and that would be enough for you to know but Orchard Cottage deserves a little more. There were only two of us but this would be a perfect house for a family or a group of friends. The living area is spacious and comfortable with wide views into the extremely large backyard which would be heaven for younger kids - whom you can supervise from the covered outdoor setting with a glass of wine! Everything you could possibly need in a kitchen is provided and there was a lovely welcome gift of wine, sparkling water and chocolate. Bathrooms are stocked with beautiful products and beds are the perfect firmness! It was a gorgeous place to come home to at the end of a day’s activities and it would definitely be out go-to choice for any further visits to the area.

Beautiful house in convenient location

Beautifully designer decorated house that has a warm and cosy welcoming atmosphere situated in a convenient location that’s within walking distance to the Leura Mall. Looking forward to staying here again when the weather is cooler so I can cosy up in front of the indoor fire place

Gorgeous mountains home

We loved our time in this home. Everywhere we looked felt like a photo opportunity. Our host Carol was absolutely lovely to deal with and went the extra mile to make the stay special, from the bedding to the bathroom ammenities to the welcome gift on arrival. Thank you for a lovely escape from reality. We will see you again!

We brought our. home in 2013 and fell in love with the character and its history. Over the past few years, we have tuned this into our love project... renovating each aspect of our cottage and converting it from a humble little workers cottage into our luxury mountain home.

Our family weekender in the charming Blue Mountains village of Leura, 80 minutes from Sydney, has welcomed many visitors in its lifetime. Built in the 1920s and initially owned by the Catholic Church, the weatherboard cottage became a doctor's surgery in the '80s.
