Escape to our waterfront Big Bear cabin, steps from Holloway's Marina! This modern mountain retreat offers direct lake access and comfortably sleeps 7 guests. With a cozy fireplace, game room, and beautiful lake views, it's the perfect getaway for families and friends. Just a short drive to ski resorts, the golf course, snow play, and the convention center, enjoy the best of Big Bear from this prime, centrally located hidden gem.

LIVING & DINING
Step inside this spacious 1,500 sq ft home and feel the cozy, rustic ambiance. The welcoming living room, with its wood-paneled walls, dining table, bar seating, and comfortable seating, invites you to relax around the beautiful wood-burning fireplace after a day of adventure.

KITCHEN
The full kitchen includes knotty alder cabinets, granite countertops, and stainless steel appliances, along with everything needed to prepare meals:

Enjoy the game room with a foosball table, along with Smart TVs, streaming apps, and fast WiFi throughout the home. The cabin also features a dedicated workspace w/ ethernet connection. Board games and card games provide additional entertainment. Relax by the cozy wood-burning fireplace after a fun-filled day.

OUTDOOR LIVING
Breathe in the fresh mountain air from the peaceful front yard or the spacious backyard, which offers beautiful lake views. The outdoor area features comfortable patio furniture, a picnic table, and a gas barbecue, making it the perfect spot for outdoor dining and relaxing. Guests also have access to the dock, which is accessible from the right side only.

Cozy Getaway!

Stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed and lake view and the quiet setting. Morning coffee watching the ducks, pelicans and cranes was a great start to the day! It is decorated just right for a "rustic" cabin feel, but with all the modern amenities; making for a great stay. Kitchen and bathrooms are beautiful. Looking forward to a return visit later in the year.

At first the directions of the place was 456 had to reach out and then I was send the address of 482. It was hassle because I thought it was 456. And lots of spiders and I mean lots. Can tell it wasn’t clean for a while. But overall I enjoyed my stay

Cute cabin by the lake

We enjoyed our overnight stay here. The location right by the water is beautiful to look out on from the kitchen and upstairs bedrooms. Enjoyed being able to use the fireplace and fooseball table. Close to shops and food but not in the middle of it all. Communication was clear and timely. The initial forms and permissions beforehand were a bit much, but I also understand why when you’re near residents.

Clean, beautiful, and comfortable

The home is clean, beautiful, and very comfortable. The only downside is that the lake has dried up so much that it's a bit of a hike to get to it. But even still, we enjoyed it nonetheless! Would definitely return.

Lakefront Cabin

Vacationed in Big Bear with our adult children. It is a nice, up to date cabin with a dock and all amenities, in a safe and quiet neighborhood. We particularly loved that we were able to just step out the back porch and kayak right off the dock all week. I rated it 4 stars because the mattresses were to firm for us and the coffee maker took over 2 hours to brew. (Need a new coffee maker) We also liked that it is a short drive to the village.

Ruined trip

This review is for Cool Cabins and not for Mallard cabin. We did not book a reservation for Mallard but instead we were eventually provided with this cabin when our actual cabin was not safe to stay in upon our arrival. Although Cool Cabins said they were "very sorry" they put the blame on the cabin owner and said they had nothing to do with it. Although we rented a lakefront cabin, Cool Cabins initially tried putting us in a condo as a replacement and only after speaking with a manager did they provide an actual cabin. Unfortunately this was not comparable to what we rented and it ruined our trip. The rental agreement is a contract, they failed to meet their contractual obligation and we will be taking them to court. Will not use Cool Cabins again, would not recommend.
