If its location you are looking for, then this 1 bedroom + open loft, 2 bathroom condo is perfect for your Mammoth vacation! Just steps from the Sierra Star golf course, and about a mile from both the lifts at Eagle Lodge and The Village. Relax by the wood-burning fireplace or barbeque on the deck while enjoying the fresh mountain air in this beautiful Forest setting. This condo has everything you need to feel right at home including a fully renovated stocked kitchen, living room with flatscreen TV and DVD player, sleeper sofa, and free WiFi. The master bedroom has a Queen size bed, flatscreen TV and access to the hallway bathroom. The open loft upstairs features another Queen bed with en-suite full bathroom. There is even access to a private washer and dryer in the loft, and shared garage parking for one vehicle (garage clearance is 7' 3"). The Bigwood community offers an outdoor pool, hot tub, and on-site laundry facilities. The town trolley is not too far away, or enjoy the convenience of a quick walk to the closest lifts at Eagle. The community of Bigwood is nestled on the Sierra Star Golf Course in amongst the trees, in a quiet residential neighborhood so is the perfect hideaway from it all. This condo is on the second floor, sleeps a maximum of 6 people, and no smoking or pets are permitted. All guests receive complimentary full access to Snowcreek Athletic Club to enjoy facilities including indoor heated pool, steam/sauna, full fitness facility, yoga, pilates and cycle studio and more. Guests will be provided two parking passes. If more parking is required than what is allotted, feel free to call our office for alternative options. Our calendar is updated in real time. Great experience!

Property worked for what we needed. Its a little older and "worn" but served its purpose for what we were looking for. Was very clean and had the basics that were needed for the stay. Very convenient to the slopes.

The location was perfect to Eagle Lodge. The beds were slightly dirty especially the pull out couch. There was trash in the upstairs balcony bedroom. No fire wood. The bathrooms, both sink and showers leak so the floors where sopping wet. Not sure I would stay here again.

Worst communication with the manager

I needed help ever since we got there but it was impossible to speak to the manager or host. Fortunately we found the key under the mat, otherwise we’d have had to book a hotel, since we weren’t able to make contact w the property manager or host whatsoever.

New Couch Please

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property had a TV in the bedroom that did not work. We could have managed except for that the couch and the hard wood chairs in the main TV area were very uncomfortable. We had three people and it was difficult to relax. I would not stay here again.

nice location, indoor practical without frills

checkin / checkout was very convenient. the location of the unit is close to a bus stop and in a nice area. the unit itself is clean but without frills, we call it practical. We are happy with our stay but would suggest that the property manager fixes some of the minor issues we noticed. Pros: - great location - unit is very quiet - good for 3 peoples - nice wood fire stove, easy to start, control and clean - all appliances worked perfectly - good wifi and TV (netflix, amazon, HBO) Cons (minor) - some electrical outlets have unsecured face plate, this could be a problem with smaller children - the curtain for the upstairs showers should be replaced with some "hermetic" inclosure - we had a problem with one of the kitchen cabinet - need more towels (even so we had a dryer, we ran out) - garage is really tight for a larger SUV

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The main room in the photos is really nice. But there are lots of things broken we had to email our host every time we found something so we wouldn’t be charged for it. Busted window in the living room, ripped lampshade in the bedroom. We couldn’t use the second floor bathroom- it was leaking and the floor was flooded. The bathrooms are from 1960 and look pretty awful. They need new beds. Super uncomfortable and everything is old. They didn’t have matches for the fireplace/stove and no directions for finding the hot tub. Would not stay here again. It could be so cute if only they would care for it.

Not what we hoped it would be

The location was wonderful. We were visiting with another couple and the location was great as it was a 3 minute drive to lifts/lodge. Our issue was that first of all the decomposing mouse on a sticky trap that we found under the downstairs bed. We do understand that this can be an issue in a forested area. That was not the issue but, it should have been checked and disposed of BEFORE we checked in. It was NOT freshly trapped. its claim was a “remodeled” unit. A more accurate description would be, updated kitchen. All other parts of the unit were a bit outdated. The other issue we had was that this is Not a 2 bedroom. This is a 1 private bedroom downstairs and a loft upstairs without a door. Not private for the other couple upstairs as there is NO door and all conversations between upstairs and downstairs were easily overheard. Along with a very creaky upstairs floor that would wake us up in the downstairs room every time someone would get up to use the restroom or even turn over in bed. The upstairs shower needs to be redone as it leaks heavily onto floor and floods the area. When I tried to address all my concerns, management refunded my cleaning fee and brushed off all other concerns, not even returning my requests for management to discuss.

We loved the cabin so much! The location was great and getting in and out of the cabin was so easy compared to a lot of places we’ve stayed at in Mammoth. The cabin was very cozy and nicely remodeled. All of the rooms were very cleanly as well. We had an issue with the WiFi the first night, reached out to the host and they had the internet fixed the very next morning! The location was amazing because it was very close to Canyon and Eagle lodge and very close to shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again!

Fit Our Needs

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location is more conducive to Eagle Lodge. I was really fearful of the second parking (first come first serve) but we got lucky each time we came back. So I think this location is pretty good. The kitchen is the main remodeled room. Our friends with a Subaru Crosstrek with a Yakima box barely cleared the garage because of the ice. We chipped at it so it wouldn't raise the car. It's still nice this location has at least one. Three areas of concern: 1) upstairs restroom floor had a giant puddle. I assume from the on and off leaky shower. Some nights we could stop the dripping and other we couldn't. Looked around and didn't see any piping leaks. The restrooms are all dated but work. 2) kitchen heater was not working. We definitely called because we have an 8 month old and it was freezing for the first night in the living room. They were really responsive when we called. They came fast for it being a holiday weekend 3) the "third bed" is a mattress in the corner of the upstairs living balcony? It didn't look sanitary and it made it seem like someone was squatting there. We only had four people and a baby so we didn't touch it.
