We had a wonderful stay. Beautiful location overlooking the Susquehanna River! Ample room for gathering, both inside and outside. We were a group of 7 female adults (60) and number of beds & bathrooms worked out great, with plenty of towels. The one improvement would be in regard to kitchen accommodations ie there were no dish towels, and only one roll of paper towel for 4 days and would have been helpful to have more wine glasses & coffee cups.

The house, porch, patio, and yard are very nice. I do think that calling it a "waterfront home" is slightly misleading. That description and the photo made it sound to me like the yard goes right to the edge of the water, but there is actually a road between the house and the grassy area shown in the photo. Even though the property situation was different than I was expecting, we enjoyed our stay there very much.

The house was great, clean and plenty of space for our family of 10. John was a fabulous host, very responsive and a wealth of knowledge about the area. This is perfect for an escape and relax retreat or as a central location for other activities in PA. We took advantage of easy access to Hershey Park and Gettysburg. My only disappointment was the river. We had hoped it would be a great swimming hole for the kids, but the area in front of the house is not conducive to swimming as there were definitely more weeds than expected. It is beautiful to watch sunrise, try your hand at fishing or just enjoy the view.

We had a great girls weekend. Everything was close to our location, food, entertainment, and stores. The place was very clean and cozy. We had a ton of fun on the lake. Plus the veiw was amazing.

I can't say enough good things about this warm and inviting home. 9 people came to bike on the Susquehanna River Trail and take in the sights in the area. it was a great place to come home to after a long day. The beds were comfortable, the hot water was strong and plentiful and the central air system worked perfectly. The hot tub was a godsend after biking all day. If you are an early riser be sure to enjoy your coffee on the front porch and take is a great sunrise. Plenty of seating in the living room to sit, chat or take in a movie together. Finally,I cant say enough about the outdoor kitchen, which includes a built in griddle, and grill, no need to worry about fuel running out since it is connected the home gas source. The outdoor sink made clean up easy. There was plenty outdoor dining seats and tables for all of us. John was communitive throughout the whole process. We would definitely consider staying here again if we retuned to the area.

Perfect Girls Weekend Getaway

Perfect location, wonderful layout, excellent for a relaxing girls weekend trip away. We made pizzas on the grill, hung out on the front porch, had some snacks and drinks on the patio
 and the view
 absolutely amazing!!! Definitely recommend for a girls weekend away or extended family stay with the 6 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms!!! One little bummer, but did not ruin the stay was the hot tub was a slight hint of green so we didn’t want to take any chances, but weren’t sure if it could be cleared up with the short stay, so we just didn’t go in it. But, again, definitely not a game changer.

Perfect for my girls trip!

My five girlfriends and I chose this house and I'm so glad we did. We love to watch movie, so we had plenty of space on the couches without squishing anyone in. The hot tub was perfect. We appreciated the extra blankets in the closet because we all get cold easily. The town was adorable. We found a great antique store just 20 minutes away. The house and property were clean and tidy. All appliances worked. Showers had perfect water pressure. We loved it and will be booking again for our next get together.

Overall very nice house and location, very spacious, a bit dated but fits with surrounding community. We didnt stay at the house for very long but i did see/notice several cosmetic & safety issues during our stay such as pealing paint on bedroom ceiling , loose/missing small pieces of flooring in kitchen (trip hazard) and a back door that refused to lock (safety),hot tub was nice and spacious but lights didnt work,noticed other exterior lights missing bulbs also. Nice big driveway but hard to turn around in with garage shut. Comfy bedding and furniture, all the amenities of home, Big outdoor area, alot of potential with the property. Good communication with owner. Would stay here again for sure 8 / 10 rating

Perfect Getaway

This was a perfect weekend getaway for friends. The livingroom sofa situation is amazing - we had so much room to spread out and all still be together, and the reclining end seats and throw blankets were so comfortable. I love that the lightswitches are labeled! We used 4 of the bedrooms and all slept really well. None of the bedrooms have an en-suite bath attached (so there's no fighting amongst the group over that!) but the bathrooms are all of a good size and the ground floor has a walk-in shower that's quite accessible. In fact, once you're up the porch steps, the whole lower level would work nicely for someone with limited mobility. The upper level preserves some of the older woodwork and feels like a cozy historic house. The view of the river is fabulous. The porch and patio are beautiful. There's very little traffic on the road that runs by the house and if you're the brave type you can take a walk along the road parallel to the river. The kitchen is well stocked with basic cookware and salt/pepper/spices and all the appliances worked perfectly. Measuring cups & spoons were in short supply, so maybe not the best for scratch-cooking, but we were mostly heating up prepared dishes. There is a lovely hot tub and fire pit which we couldn't use only because of the weather. The grocery store and restaurants will be about 15 minutes drive away on scenic roads, so just plan ahead for supplies or outings (we went out for a nice coffee at Phat Cat Cafe in Red Lion PA).

Perfect Weekend Away

The house was clean, comfortable, and only an hour from Baltimore!! The property manager was super helpful and came out to the house when the hot tub wasn’t working. Would definitely go back!!

Sight & Sound

This home was just perfect! It was clean, had everything we needed and was in a great location to travel to the theatre and shops during our stay. Our family of 10 had plenty of room to hang out, play games, and sleep. Even took a morning walk along the lake front. Definitely would come again!

Hiking along the Susquehanna

The house was perfect. The host was very accommodating. We were a goup of 7 retired men that hiked the the rail trails across the river in Lancaster County. We loved being on the river and enjoyed the fire pit each evening. We will definitey book again.

Friends Enjoying the Fall

Wrightsville weekend

Beautiful, clean home with all the amenities. Online listing deceiving, not aware that lake was across a fast street and at corner of busy intersection. That being said everyone had a very good time.

Lovely vacation

We had a wonderful time, grandparents, kids, and grandkids. Great view of the river which looked more like a big lake. The kitchen was equipped with everything you possibly could need. The outdoor kitchen was definitely a bonus. Outdoor dining area was a favorite. Front porch had nice furniture to relax on with a book and coffee. Really cute house with nice showers and vanities.

Girls Getaway

A very good location and a great house! The hot tub has some jets not working, the house has some fly activity inside of it. Great kitchen area to gather, most bedrooms very spacious and the air conditioning worked well overall. Unable to float in the river area, but it was a nice private space to sit.

Loved our stay!!

My wife and I stayed there for a quick getaway and loved the place. Nice small towns around with some great places to eat and shop. Will definitely book this place again.

Spectacular sunrises

Our family stayed in this beautiful home facing the water. The views are spectacular! The sunrise is not to be missed. We enjoyed the extra large hot tub, the outside tables and kitchen and the chute couch. The bedding and towels were exquisite. The bathrooms were very very nice! The owner could not have been more accommodating!!
