I can't say enough good things about this warm and inviting home. 9 people came to bike on the Susquehanna River Trail and take in the sights in the area. it was a great place to come home to after a long day. The beds were comfortable, the hot water was strong and plentiful and the central air system worked perfectly. The hot tub was a godsend after biking all day. If you are an early riser be sure to enjoy your coffee on the front porch and take is a great sunrise. Plenty of seating in the living room to sit, chat or take in a movie together. Finally,I cant say enough about the outdoor kitchen, which includes a built in griddle, and grill, no need to worry about fuel running out since it is connected the home gas source. The outdoor sink made clean up easy. There was plenty outdoor dining seats and tables for all of us. John was communitive throughout the whole process. We would definitely consider staying here again if we retuned to the area.

My wife and I stayed there for a quick getaway and loved the place. Nice small towns around with some great places to eat and shop. Will definitely book this place again.

Perfect Weekend Away

The house was clean, comfortable, and only an hour from Baltimore!! The property manager was super helpful and came out to the house when the hot tub wasn’t working. Would definitely go back!!

Perfect for my girls trip!

My five girlfriends and I chose this house and I'm so glad we did. We love to watch movie, so we had plenty of space on the couches without squishing anyone in. The hot tub was perfect. We appreciated the extra blankets in the closet because we all get cold easily. The town was adorable. We found a great antique store just 20 minutes away. The house and property were clean and tidy. All appliances worked. Showers had perfect water pressure. We loved it and will be booking again for our next get together.

Wrightsville weekend

Beautiful, clean home with all the amenities. Online listing deceiving, not aware that lake was across a fast street and at corner of busy intersection. That being said everyone had a very good time.

Spectacular sunrises

Our family stayed in this beautiful home facing the water. The views are spectacular! The sunrise is not to be missed. We enjoyed the extra large hot tub, the outside tables and kitchen and the chute couch. The bedding and towels were exquisite. The bathrooms were very very nice! The owner could not have been more accommodating!!

Lovely vacation

We had a wonderful time, grandparents, kids, and grandkids. Great view of the river which looked more like a big lake. The kitchen was equipped with everything you possibly could need. The outdoor kitchen was definitely a bonus. Outdoor dining area was a favorite. Front porch had nice furniture to relax on with a book and coffee. Really cute house with nice showers and vanities.

Girls Getaway

A very good location and a great house! The hot tub has some jets not working, the house has some fly activity inside of it. Great kitchen area to gather, most bedrooms very spacious and the air conditioning worked well overall. Unable to float in the river area, but it was a nice private space to sit.

Perfect mom's weekend getaway

We had a large group of moms for the weekend. There were plenty of beds and the kitchen was well stocked for staying in and cooking meals. They also had quality kitchen items which we were pleased about. There were plenty of towels and soaps. We didnt need to bring much of anything with us. The pictures aren't updated so it was a pleasant surprise to see the 2 very large comfort couches in the living room. It was a great unexpected addition. Overall we had a great weekend and everyone was pleased with the house and location.

Clean perfect family get away

Great place. Very VERY clean! Great views and has everything thing you need. Amazing property owner! There were 3 families (ages 8 to 66) and we had plenty of room. We spent most of the time outside. The front porch and the patio with outdoor kitchen were amazing. We tend bring all the things we need from bedding, toiletries, kitchen supplies and spices but we found most of the stuff was available there for us if we would have needed it. Thank you John for such wonderful family vacation. We were concerned about the dock being public/shared but it was no issue. ( I don’t believe it even had any traffic) Anyone in the area we came in contact was super friendly. We would definitely go back!

Perfect Getaway

This was a perfect weekend getaway for friends. The livingroom sofa situation is amazing - we had so much room to spread out and all still be together, and the reclining end seats and throw blankets were so comfortable. I love that the lightswitches are labeled! We used 4 of the bedrooms and all slept really well. None of the bedrooms have an en-suite bath attached (so there's no fighting amongst the group over that!) but the bathrooms are all of a good size and the ground floor has a walk-in shower that's quite accessible. In fact, once you're up the porch steps, the whole lower level would work nicely for someone with limited mobility. The upper level preserves some of the older woodwork and feels like a cozy historic house. The view of the river is fabulous. The porch and patio are beautiful. There's very little traffic on the road that runs by the house and if you're the brave type you can take a walk along the road parallel to the river. The kitchen is well stocked with basic cookware and salt/pepper/spices and all the appliances worked perfectly. Measuring cups & spoons were in short supply, so maybe not the best for scratch-cooking, but we were mostly heating up prepared dishes. There is a lovely hot tub and fire pit which we couldn't use only because of the weather. The grocery store and restaurants will be about 15 minutes drive away on scenic roads, so just plan ahead for supplies or outings (we went out for a nice coffee at Phat Cat Cafe in Red Lion PA).

Mom's weekend getaway

This was a perfect property for a moms weekend getaway. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed and the items were quality for cooking inside. We were very pleased with the kitchen. The house was clean and we had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. I would suggest instructions on which thermostats control for what rooms and instructions for the hot tub for future guests. The hot tub was not on properly when we arrived and we didn't get to enjoy it until sat afternoon/ evening. The upstairs king bed is actually just 2 twin beds put together so it has a large gap in the middle of the bed. I would suggest some sort of top to make it one bed surface. The property manager did help with questions and stopped by Saturday afternoon to help with the hot tub. Otherwise we had a great time and we would rent again.

Lake house

The lake house is really cozy and homey however the master bathroom doesn’t have shower head for 7 people even thought the property has 2.5 bathrooms. Seven of us have to use second bathroom to take a bath while it has shower head. Secondly, main level bedroom next to dining room. There are two French doors with frost glasses door. It is not enough dark room for us to sleep. There are plenty of cars lights passed by the house during late evening. I would recommend to add blind curtains for two frost French doors so we can sleep without disturb by the lights.

Pros and Cons of Wrightsville Lake House

We are giving this rental 3.5. The description of "swimming dock" was misrepresented. The water was extremely murky with weeds growing up clear to the dock level. Per the description, we were expecting to use the beach and dock area, but did not. The area is shared, which was stated in the write up, however, rafts/fishing poles and a tractor on the beach really did not make us feel welcomed. We were really disappointed as staying on the lake was the biggest selling point of the listing ( and the increased price!) We ended up having to rescheduled our planned lake day to other activities. The house itself was well equipped. Beds were comfortable and kitchen meet all the needs to cook meals. (Except a colander!)The road that backs up to the house is a very busy downhill curve that many motorcycles/cars that were loud during the weekend night. The windows also were in desperate need of cleaning. Looks like years of cobwebs and bugs in the window sills. We used the AC, but still was kind of off-putting. Overall, if you want a house that has views of the lake and not swimming, then this would meet your needs! For us, it did not fit the full bill.

Perfect Girls Weekend Getaway

Perfect location, wonderful layout, excellent for a relaxing girls weekend trip away. We made pizzas on the grill, hung out on the front porch, had some snacks and drinks on the patio… and the view… absolutely amazing!!! Definitely recommend for a girls weekend away or extended family stay with the 6 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms!!! One little bummer, but did not ruin the stay was the hot tub was a slight hint of green so we didn’t want to take any chances, but weren’t sure if it could be cleared up with the short stay, so we just didn’t go in it. But, again, definitely not a game changer.

Overall very nice house and location, very spacious, a bit dated but fits with surrounding community. We didnt stay at the house for very long but i did see/notice several cosmetic & safety issues during our stay such as pealing paint on bedroom ceiling , loose/missing small pieces of flooring in kitchen (trip hazard) and a back door that refused to lock (safety),hot tub was nice and spacious but lights didnt work,noticed other exterior lights missing bulbs also. Nice big driveway but hard to turn around in with garage shut. Comfy bedding and furniture, all the amenities of home, Big outdoor area, alot of potential with the property. Good communication with owner. Would stay here again for sure 8 / 10 rating
