"Sunrise Shore" is located in one of Chincoteague Island's most popular waterfront residential communities - Oyster Bay I. Wonderful Stay at Sunrise Shore

Our family had a wonderful stay at Sunrise Shore. The house had a great location with beautiful views. The kitchen was well appointed and met all of needs. Our children really enjoyed the hot tub. There was plenty of room for our family of five. We hope to return someday soon!

Great property close to natural attractions

This house was amazing! Lots of room to have private relaxation even though the house could fit an army. Close to the nature reserve but with enough amenities that we had just as much fun on rainy days.

Short trip but so much fun.

We enjoyed the space, many beds, windows nice size kitchen, large family area and hot tub. With all the beds it would have been nice to have one more full bathroom upstairs but we made it work. It was quiet and very enjoyable. We did have an ant problem but other than that the house and location was nice for our ladies weekend.

Amazing stay for a Sweet 16

I took my daugther, her 5 friends, and my sister-in-law on this girl's trip. The open very large kitchen and living room was amazing to gather and hang out. We could have easily fit 10 more people. The place is huge! We loved the windows and the view of the water. It was idyllic. It is probably even better when you can use the pool and outside area. I expected it to be cool or drafty with the high ceilings, but it was not in the least. I would recommend for large groups.

Relaxing weeklong getaway

I booked this place for me and a handful of my friends and family to round out our summer. We had a great time at the house. Having the bay, hot tub, and the pool within footsteps of each other was a blessing. We took the short drive to the beach a few days and had an amazing time eating and drinking in town. This is easily the nicest house in the area and certainly lives up to the photos and reviews. Everything was amazing except for the things out of our control, like the mosquitos and flies. Make sure you bring bug spray and fly traps when you come, you'll need it. Overall I would rent this house again in the future. We had such a memorable time.

Great house but needs some love

The house itself was awesome and accommodated our party of 14 comfortably. However, it was very obvious throughout the home that it has not been well taken care of by the owner. Paint is chipping everywhere and the bathtub leaks a lot during use. The location is gorgeous and made it worth while, but the quality of the home should match the price being charged. Regardless, we had a great time during our winter stay and really enjoyed the hot tub.

Perfect House for a Group

We had my bachelorette party at this property and it was PERFECT. The views and location are unbeatable and the hot tub, pool, and easy water access provided endless hours of fun. We also appreciated the multitude of beds and cots available as well as the plentiful sheets, towels, and bedding. The communication was effortless and easy and the team was very responsive to our needs. They even opened the pool earlier than their typical schedule. NOTE: if you're renting this in the spring or fall, check their pool schedule. We didn't realize they didn't usually open the pool until the following week. Thank you for an awesome weekend!

Don't go for privacy, go for serenity

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The expanse of windows and lack of window coverings is just a PSA. The views are not meant to be blocked out. There are 3 bedrooms that offer privacy and all other beds are in common areas. The king bed in the main floor bedroom is only meant to be slept on, trust me. Do not let kids jump on or...you know. The kitchen and living room are great areas for entertaining and I don't think we were in want of any standard utensils or cookware.We will be back if available.

Beautiful!

We stayed for the Thanksgiving weekend - the house is beautiful, clean, and spacious! The views are spectacular. We loved the beach; we enjoyed watching the annual lighting of the Christmas tree on Main Street; and enjoyed visiting the Wallops Island Visitor Center.

Excellent trip

The upgrades made to the house since last year are so nice (new septic, refinished pool bathroom) and addressed many of our previous concerns. We cannot wait until next year!

Need shades for hot afternoon sun. No privacy, no shades. Views nice. Water problems in shower in first floor bathroom. Poison ivy/oak on tree in back and along drive in front. Very difficult to get on/off floating dock.

The house is beautiful and has lovely surroundings. Made with an open floor plan, the natural light and the long windows give an open feel and offers very picturesque views! The internet was great, strong enough causing no drops in connectivity. Overall, we had a wonderful vacation. We wouldn’t change our visit for anything, despite the things I mentioned below! The rental company was extremely responsive! I have separately pointed out to the rental Company to fix little things, like, kitchen tap, shower heads, coffee maker, refrigerator crisper drawer, brass table in the living room, the upstairs room (above kitchen) mattress is broken from the middle etc. Among the many pluses, the house had the living room TV broken, pool wasn’t open, many other places and equipment in the house is showing wear and tear and needs care. Re the TV and the pool, this wasn’t communicated to us, so was disappointing!

October 2021 Stay

Generally the house was nice. The pool and hot tub were a definite plus with the kids. That being said, there are some maintenance issues; particularly with the plumbing and sewage. Standing grey water around septic tank was not good. Happens when everyone showers after the beach and laundry is run. Also, shelves are not secured to walls in kitchen and bath (basically, just mounted on the drywall). Curtains in a few strategic areas (upstairs bathroom) would be great. Finally, the beds were low quality foam variety. Good overall and if septic and some minor fixes are addressed (including the peeling paint), this place would be great.

Amazing vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had an amazing time at this rental. The location is perfect. The cleaning team was very professional and thorough. We had a few minor issues with the rental during the week, and the property management team was incredibly responsive, quickly and professionally resolving all of our concerns. There are a few minor areas where the house is in need of repair...peeling paint and plaster around showers, pool with cracking tile and cement chunks missing at the border, but nothing that kept us from enjoying the property overall. Can't wait to stay here again.

A lovely week away!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Ok. The home is very lovely. Well described and photographed. There are a lot of steps to get into the house (which is hard to tell from the pictures) This is more of an adult house and not the greatest for small children. Although our children loved the house and had a great time. I thought it was important to mention that the pool has no shallow end - its 6 feet to 8 feet. And there are only two awkaward steps to get into the pool. The pool is very narrow, making it a little challenging with kids jumping in. There are also a ton of flies (obviously not a rental problem - but plan to bring some fly traps!!) The rental company was helpful, but with a 4;00 check in and them closed on Sunday, things could have been tricky.

Interesting House

So I want to start by telling the positives. Location is great, it’s a nice house, love the hot tub and pool, very spacious. Love all the big windows in kitchen living room. The negatives are someone should really put blind up in some of the rooms. Depending on what room your in you can see directly into someone else room in the house or a bathroom. We had some electrical issues with the lights in the lower hall bathroom and upper bathroom, ac in master bedroom stopped working, the beds in each bedroom needs to be replaced. There are huge dips in mattress and the master bed slates kept falling making the bed fall. There was no broom or mop for any type of clean ups, no paper towels or toilet paper or trash bags. There are visible signs of water leaks with peeling paint on wall or around windows. Lastly, the issue with the sewer going into the drive way should be fixed. It is awful and the smell is bad morning when laying at the pool. Over all, we had a great time and it’s a beautiful house. Just needs to have all items fixed.

Pretty architecture, great pool and hot tub

Easy check in and out. House was large and had pretty views. Town 5-10 min drive and beach (national park) was a 15 minute drive. We were only there 2 nights but enjoyed ourselves !
